WoW...So he wore a mask during their intimacy in ¨Weeding night¨ and SFL wasn´t shown any picture of him before or after the weeding. If I recall correctly, he is prince of some sort and its highly unlikely no picture of him exist. This whole plotline is stupid.....according to nanny SFL stayed there for quite some time and she didn´t even what he looks like !

Its C-drama and c-drama consumer base in China enjoys ¨THROUPLETS¨ and love triangles, of course SML will develop strong feelings for FL, and he would try to compete with ML over his wife. It doesn´t matter if it sounds utterly ludicrous but it will happen.

They are new to C-dramas and haven´t seen enough of them to learn the pattern. Vast majority of C-dramas follow same trend of solid start, draggy mid and good ending. There are few outliers like The Double which have Okaish/good mid and solid ending, where directors tie majority of the leads.

How do you know something is wrong, when it hasn´t even happened yet?
I have not read the novel but and it's not the first time ¨main airing schedule¨ is wrong about something and I am telling you right now, judging by current trajectory they will rush the ending.

Sorry it's not going to happen and it's ludicrous to even expect someone to cramp in long ass novel into 40 episodes. Furthermore y´all need to grow up I wasn´t even criticizing the drama and all came in hordes to defend it. Guys people have different preferences and taste, and gatekeeping rating here is not going to change anything.

We can agree to disagree on this, but I stand by opinion and pacing I have mentioned in earlier comment is typically followed C-drama directors, they tend to follow this template like it's some sort of holy text. I am very positive they will do that here because they gota sell the Express package and if they doesn´t leave episode 35-36 at a big cliffhanger nobody will buy Express package.
I just hope they tie all the loose ends before ending it but at this point, I have started to doubt it.

You can start with one and see if you like the genre.

Well, it looks like you’re new to C-dramas, so let me try to guess the upcoming plot for you. We’re at episode 15 and the ML still hasn’t entered the “leaving the FL to join the army” arc. At the current pace, about five episodes will probably be spent showing the FL being sad about the ML leaving. That takes us to episode 20. After that, we’ll move into the phase where both leads finally realize their deeper feelings for each other. Then the FL will likely wrap up her matters and start looking for the ML, which will probably take another five episodes. After that comes the “FL searching for the ML” arc, and of course it won’t be straightforward. The ML will probably be injured, and she’ll discover that he lied to her. That’s another five episodes.

¨Then we’ll get the ML trying to earn her trust back, people mocking him for marrying a butcher, and eventually they’ll have to return to the capital. Since the emperor has already been introduced, that’s almost guaranteed. After that we’ll see court politics, the leads discovering the truth about their parents’ deaths, the introduction of the main villain, and finally the big war, with the FL using her butcher skills to feed the army and redeem herself.¨

The point I’m making is that they’ll probably try to squeeze above mentioned plot into the last ten episodes. That usually means a rushed ending, while the middle drags because of the leads being separated. Don’t get me wrong, though. I’m not hating on it. This is actually the first C-drama in about eight months that has managed to hook me after a long streak of disappointments. Still, the pacing doesn’t look very promising.

Okay they are dragging it now, I like the slow build up and all these new subplots with FL forming her own gang or coalition of ex-gangsters but it's time for ML to enter the fray and deal with the upcoming war.

I don´t care about anybody else but that ¨White Falcon¨ should have a happy ending.

Tho it's not a 9 still but you are underselling it and I don´t know why made you think, it's like ¨Three Kingdoms¨ because there are no warlords or someone as charismatic as Cao Cao or fake ass Liu Bei like b.....

WoW that is one of the stupidest guarantee's or moves I have heard about in C-drama history. He could have immigrated out of Northern China to some far flanged Southern perimeter village and be done with it. I highly doubt Prime Minister Wei can track them that far without modern census and satellites.
Frankly I would never understand the character decisions of living near the area of major crime, ML father army was ambushed in neighboring county, and he knows it falls under Wei area of influence (he was assassin and had access to old info) but he still decided to settle in nearest county border village.

So, FL is granddaughter of Chancellor Wei, and her father knives and FL mother hairpin are clues to her identity. While we are at it.....tell me did Wei Family assassins killed her parents or it was Wenkan?

I really hope they will continue this ¨grounded¨ approach and won´t overdo the soldier's armor, swords and other gear. Upto this point things are grounded in reality and I really hope this will continue on to war scene. Where we see soldiers use accurate weapons (heavy armor and spears) and move in proper formations with infantry in the middle, archers at back and cavalry at flanks. Not a single army in history of humanity has ever fought in random mass of soldiers, we tend to see in C-dramas and movies.

You can make 10/10 into 11/10 but director really put in some effort into camera work and cinematography. Everything from wooden fences to random clothes here and there looks high res (4K), his camera color profile and grading his near perfect.

To be honest I don´t even remember but I won´t call it inappropriate....it was hot tho

I have a lingering suspicion ML is not CEO in his real life, is he lying about that?
Furthermore going by his acting in fist scene, I also suspect he was there for at least 2 months if not year?
He lied to FL about 2 hours thing !
