So my initial argument ¨like ¨Blind Prince¨ performing murders in front of everybody¨ stands cuz during the cult murder scene shown to us in form of prisoner accounts. The cult hideout was fully lit and there were numerous bright lights around and on him.... so according to FL diagnosis. He won´t be able to do shit brother. So, what was all that ruckus about.... you can go back and rewatch stuff, that place was fully lit and he said he is wearing cloth cuz he can´t see light. That´s why I said ¨Blind Prince committing murders¨ there is a major plot hole cuz prince is a major character. They didn´t even flush out that detail, not to mention numerous scuffed Surgeries and Pathological stuff used by FL. I am not saying it was the bad drama cuz I gave it an 8.5 but we had the control to compare it to and Imperial coroner delivered.

I am 99% sure FL diagnosed him as blind due to poisoning in whatever ep he appeared in and after that SML gave him medicinal material to make medicine anddddddd FL administered acupuncture herself to treat his blindness. These were the CLUES given in the drama.... so FL was dumb enough to not find out he was not blind, and all these murders happened before he regained his sight after FL treatment. So I don´t what are you on ! but not a single hint was provided to support the hypothesis that he was not blind during his three years outside the palace and then he poisoned himself to appear as harmless prince in front of everybody.

Entering the novel with satire is very very common troupe in C-Drama land and there 100's if not thousands of short (2-4 hours) dramas available on YouTube. Lol first I have seen a lot more Chinese dramas than you.... and have been watching Tv series for about 16 years now from every corner of the earth. Let me give you example "Tywin and Cersi lanisters" were also villain characters but I can understand their motives for doing things.....Y'all are acting like FL was making big brains like Tommy Shelby (Peaky Blinders) but she wasn't....do you know why? Because those actors and script makes us believe and understand their logic for doing things. Even when their actions look stupid in first look.... We still believe and stood by them.... cuz they convince us with their character persona, history of successful decision and logic. But FL character failed at that here...it wasn't the actress fault but script was just weak.

What I meant is she is ¨Dumb as F¨ at the very start of the drama, FL was marrying ML willingly (She loved him) but SML showed himself and forcefully tried to take her away from the marriage. When she specifically told him NO ! So SML appearing and trying to ruin her marriage was the plot trigger for her death by making ML suspicious, but she did after waking up? She blamed ML and worked with SML to undermine him, now about her family death. She knew she didn´t read the whole novel and she is missing critical information but again instead of acting like a reasonable protagonist and fact checking both leads accusations before making any decisions. She jumped the gun and blamed ML for everything all the way up to ep 28...... beware thanks to meeting with script writer in the episode 1, she knew damnn well ML character was misunderstood by everybody (when lead director demanded writer to put some good deeds under ML name). Y´all are forgetting overall summary of the plot was provided to her in meeting in the first episode and she knew the general trend of ML character progression.
Not to mention whenever ML did something wrong, he is trash and its HIS FAULT but whatever she did something ¨PLOT and SCRIPT WRITER fault¨. Have you watched ¨Story of Kunning Palace¨ ? Both dramas have similar concepts and FL in kunning palace was also afraid of ML cuz he killed her in the past life, but SHE INVESTIGATED and researched stuff before making decisions. Don´t defend lousy writing? Both leads acting is solid, cinematography is also good, set and costume design was up to the mark, overall direction was solid but STORYYY sucked ass.
Twenty-four episodes in and I hate this dumb FL to core and of all the ¨Time travel in novel plotline¨ dramas. She is the dumbest protagonist I have come across (even counting short chinese dramas on youtube). After all the shenanigans and dumb shit, she was done, the greatest crime in c-drama history would be to give her happy ending with ML. But unfortunately, I have been watching c-dramas for quite a while now and know for a fact ¨all her crimes will be whitewashed ¨there will be zero accountability¨ and she will walk away scratch free.

She is strong, intelligent and proficient at her job.... doesn´t a flying ¨F¨ about advances by other male leads. I don´t think ML and FL characters are trying to overpower the other character. There is a neat and well-defined balance between their skillset which FL acknowledges (this point is very imp). FL is good at forensic science, but she sucks at active investigation and making critical decision during the chase. ML can do some forensic investigation, but his skills are vastly inferior to FL. Their romance wasn´t dragged unnecessarily and both leads behaved like mature adult people, nobody was out there acting crazy jealous and doing stupid shenanigans like hanging out with second leads to make the other party jealous. There were no unnecessary misunderstandings.
