I am not trying to start "Fan wars" here but Allen Ren kinda went OVERKILL and didn't show us and FL enough hesitation, neither does his behaviour in remainder of episode show hint of sadness. They should have handed it over to Luo Yun Xi, acting pitiful and pathetic while being reincarnation of being a literal devil god is his speciality and he had the skill set to make audience sympathize with literal source of all evil.

I completely understand ML point of view and ML was on the job there, his behaviour was very respectful/reasonable in the beginning, he first warned her with slash, then with poison and finally with stab (by releasing the negative pressure of pleural cavity) but FL didn't get the memo and still created a mess, he made her pay the price for it. He did what he saw fit in that tense situation! I get all of that but at the same time, FL was completely innocent bystander who didn't pick sides and ML did hurt her. ML mortally wounded her, she nearly lost her life...deadly violence was used against innocent bystander and FL has EVERY RIGHT to hold grudges. Whatever his reasons were got nothing to do with her and she reserves the right to "have her revenge", whatever way she sees fit. "Victims have no right to weaponize their past suffering and use it to commit EXTREME CRIMES" I agree with your ML point of view but when he will catch feelings, he is an as.... who hurt her and have to put 1000 times more effort and if she doesn't want to be with killer, its fair game !
Guys nobody is defending ML actions here and if FL tries to take revenge and attempts to kill him down the line, it's ABSOLUTELY FAIR he was an asshole to begin with. As for recent SIMP trend, ML in other dramas didn't do shit and were badly treated. While in this one, I don't think grovelling is gona cut it, ML better be "DRAGGING HIS BALLS 100km THROUGH THOUSAND SHARDS OF GLASS" to be with her. Even then if she selects the SML or TML in the end, its fair game and I/people won't/should be complaining if he ends up dying in the end and we have bad ending. I don't know how they are going to justify Leads romance down the line other than "Stockholm Syndrome" and some other wired shit cuz it does seem like point of no return to me. The only thing, I would say is although FL was innocent party who got caught in crossfire and 1000% deserved better BUT ML is a VILLIAN here, the bloody ASSASSIN and "Kindness and mercifulness" are usually not the traits associated with them. as of right now (ep 1) the only character ship worthy is "FL" with herself alone !

I can tell you that much listen, leads are not going to listen to anybody and break up their relationship multiple people will try from both ML, FL and Imperial family side. The short (2 episodes) breakup happened did not cuz of anybody's interference, ML was ordered to go undercover into enemy faction by empress order. It was getting very dangerous for FL without him, they arrested her mother under false claims and try to kill her too....so ML divorced her to save her life. But after one episode after whole mess was over, ML went and properly apologized and Empress Dowager came in a clutch, she advised FL to look forward and forgive him.
I will tell you what happens after today's episode and did she really went back to him or not. I am hating it cuz ML has already proposed and we saw a flash back which confirmed she loved him too.
I am already watching " no pain, no love" but stay clear of "Love next door", we are at ep 9 and FL still haven't made her mind. She will accept proposal off and go back to the guy, who cheated on her, didn't supported her during her disease and when her colleagues harassed her. He cancelled the marriage and broke up with her !
