He is a portal maker and hence can utilize the "Yin" energy inside him to do it and who knows, when he will be sending FL back....she drag him alongside her into the modern world, there is nothing in ancient world for him anyway.

FL was ungrateful to ML, which gave her maid impression she is hurting ML and now her maid is ungrateful to her. I think at this point,
Everybody FL has brought back as a friend has turned on her or have tried to kill ML.

Lol, now looks like delusional SML will try to kill ML third time and he believes, just like every instance before he can force FL against her will and burden her into submission with favours. Now FL has given her answer to everybody in form of clear "No" by marrying ML and I hope in next encounter, when SML tries some dumb shit again like third assassination attempt. She will side with her husband and WHAT A TRASH MOTHER!

If think, she wants ML to stay away from the Mintang granary case cuz she knows actual truth. She knows Shen elder (ML father) was wronged, and mother forced ML to sign the confession letter under other people persuasion, and she may have even sent people to advise her to do this.
If he continues his investigation, then her favourite daughter Princess Yogan crime will be exposed and hence that's why first she tried to force ML to acknowledge her as his "mother-in-law" and make peace with her, but when that failed. Now she is trying to keep ML away from the case all together and at the same time decrease his power and prestige in court too, so that even if exposed he won't be able to retaliate against her family members.
That's why she is awarding these titles and favours to FL and giving her all these speeches, she wants to shift her loyalty towards her away from ML in name of loyalty to her country. So, that in the event of ML attempt to get revenge, FL will side with her and tell her in advance.
