I respectfully disagree cuz in those times ruler ability to lead troops in the battle was far more important as compared to other abilities.
Ziyu can make good courtier or minister cuz of his strategies (which I am yet to see any, first it was FL and then prince sui who planned and carried out everything and then install him on throne) but an emperor must have good ruling and leading abilities of his own.
People like him can sit on throne through schemes and use generals to deal with problems, but sooner or later someone is going to become powerful enough to turn his armies on the capital. I foresee a rebellion incoming episodes due to incompetence as an Emperor, he send ML to deal with northern problems but did nothing of his own to deal with southern lords !
To top that off, he is disloyal who can drop his life long supporters in matter of seconds for benefits, I have not seen him introduce some good and strong reforms either.
I believe he thinks he is smart but in reality he isn't and that's his biggest weakness!

Ziyu doesn't deserve anything to be honest, almost everything is handed over to him by others. FL stuck her neck out for him during his early three eyes and took all the risks, then after using and throwing her, he suck up to General Shi and Prince Sui to get the throne and is now completely dependent on ML. He is like a puppet, who can't get a thing done and he should be happy ML is man of integrity, otherwise if he planned with two northern lords to rebel.
Zuyi with his prince Sui was officially cooked, but people like him can't sit on throne for long and I hope drama takes a time lapse of 10 years and show us how it ended for him.

While the guy directly responsible for getting her nearly killed, lied to her, used her, siding with people who killed her brothers in escort agency, who knows even sexually exploited her for manipulation, was responsible for death of her countless subordinates in Mount Yang and is still saving both culprits that tried to kill her (he started war for his own benefit).
She CAN FORGIVE AND RESPECT THAT GUY but not ML, is this the strength of character and strong woman handling situations, you are talking about. Literally what strength she had, she was traitor, murderer and sociopath. She has made not one good decision in her life and y'all wanted ML to betray his country, values and people for her. As you should be but as far as majority of comment section is concerned, she successfully took out her real enemy and its ML...so its all love and kisses here. I have come to a simple conclusion, FL is not that smart, intelligent or even brave to begin with and she still believed Ziyu over ML, even after his outright betrayal !

I personally believe majority is underage or in their teens here and there are few adults. Which stand out immediately, whenever you read their comments. I have come to simple conclusion; it may be cultural difference, and we are judging from an outsider perspective.

We can agree on the two you mentioned but Miantang, nahhh she ain't that intelligent or strong. For starters both of them didn't rely on thrashing or spreading violence against men to be strong and didn't stab their respective partners. Hua Zi even went out of her way to save ML from tight situations, when she clearly didn't know how to fight or there was high chance, she will be hurt (horse scene).

Lol, I don't think brothers tend to strip their sister down to her undergarments and closely inspect their naked body, they are slowly building up the trust and relationship. Which will evolve into Love in the future.
