but he can't inherit the throne cuz there was some sort of ancient china stopping disabled from becoming Emperors, Blossoms in adversity. The old emperor forced ML to cut his face, so he will have physical disability which will make it impossible for him to inherit the throne.

ML enemy is FL, and he is investigating her past but if SML ends being an Emperor, his actions and rebellion will be justified and ML will be the traitor general, who sided with the old court.
FL is SML main leading general, and she may very well lead the rebellion. So they will be on opposite sides and according to novel readers, SML will inherit the throne and hence all his past actions will be justified.
According to previews to main culprits, Prince Sui and ML maid may be killed tomorrow by FL faction !

Judging from the trajectory of the story, current trends of 2024, dysphoria of Fl, public perception, majority of audience demands, character bias and nullification of one-character achievements. I can say with 70-80% assurity, it's going to happen and judging by their speed. We can further calculate that, there is 50-60% chance, it will happen in ep 24 !
