This is cdramas, she will definitely stay with him, give hope to SML,ML jealousy arc, while keep doing her things at side. Which will eventually be discovered by court in the end, ML will be declared traitor cuz his wife is one and hence we will have finale in which she will bring ML down with her !

Who are not part of royal or current family but they get promoted to that position due to their military merit or some other services. Like in three kingdoms period, Sima Zhao become King of Jin, while he got nothing to do with ruling Cao family in the state of Wei. His Sima clan even forced last Cao emperor to abdicate the throne to Sima Yao, leading to the end of three Kingdoms and rise of Jin Dynasty. So, the point I am trying to make here is, we don't know if ML and SML are Imperial prince's or county prince's. They may not even be related to each other!
When Prince Si will start his rebellion sponsored by her money and soldiers armed with weapons made from her smuggled iron. I am pretty sure ML will be sent to deal with it, then FL will have front row seat to the sheer brutality, mass murder, devastation and plight of common people caused by the war. See this is C-drama after all, they tend to follow formulas or certain set of pre-defined narration events. They will have to make ML jealous and grovel in FL feet and in order for that to happen. They have to use some trigger character and judging by the solid writing so far (that is grounded in realism), screenplay writers are not going to invent a random character in the middle of drama to create Mid-finale angst. I haven't even read the novel, but I am very certain (90% sure). That not only will SML renter the picture due to his obsession for FL, they will also make him superior of ML in army by making him prince or something else (he will belittle ML in front of FL). FL will spend intimate time with him and they will do almost everything, that intimate couples do (short of sleeping together) and then FL will turn around and say to ML. We are just friends and this whole debacle will happen, while she is SOMEONES ELSE/ML WIFE! People like me will scream/call it cheating and call her out on her behaviour cuz ML never involved himself in semi-cheating, while 95% of comment section/females will call us "Naysayers" misogynist pigs!
