I just got one word for you brother, FORGET IT ! I have tried to explain this logic multiple times in different dramas but have been called every name in the book by majority female audience. They are NEVER EVER going to listen, and you will start gona get angry at people for their obviously ridiculous takes. Afterwards, you will start lashing out at people and it's not good for you or your mental health. Take this drama for instance, ML as a general lying to traitor and bandit is CRIME AGAINST HUMANITY in these people eyes, while ML saving her life is nothing. These people say it's his job and somehow, they use some wired ass formula in their mind in which, saving someone's life, healing their severe injuries and not taking advantage of them is less than if not equal to lying to her (while female character is doing exactly the same now to other party).
Remember one simple rule here, if Man commits a minor mistake like lying "he is asshole and committed extreme crime" but if woman, openly cheated for more than 20 years, emotional torture and then killed the ML "She was just confused and has reasons, justifications". So, the point I am trying to make here is stop caring about these phenomena in Asian dramas and do what's best for you. You can try to be good guy and explain properly with reasons all day long but after some time, you will be exhausted, and you will get angry...so do what's best for you and stop caring.
This drama has been ended a month ago but still its in-airing list, can someone knowledgeable put it out of its misery and remove it from the list. The next part will take months if not year to air but still somehow its present here !

She has unilaterally decided to end their relationship and do what's best for her. So, we don't want to see any fake sob story from her about her "love and trust for ML", after this point they are enemies, and FL should have no expectations from ML about him going soft on her or anything else. She willingly decided to sacrifice his love for her bandit lifestyle, treacherous iron smuggling, SML and life of crime and treason, I mean ML is investigating iron smuggling case due to which. He will have alot of run ins with Lu Wen party and SML faction. I like this narration style cuz it creates suspense and intrigue, its neither confusing nor hard to swallow and I will even go on to say, you can predict characters motives and future actions with accurately. The first slow 15 episodes were necessary to shed light on and justify leads romance in the latter part of the drama, otherwise people would have found it very hard to swallow. How a ruthless bandit leader fell in love with her enemy ! but I agree with your point of view regarding next 5-7 episodes deciding the fate of drama cuz that's where writers usually "F" up by creating unnecessary angst and jealousy cliche, which only leaves bad taste on mouth of watchers. While FL have necessary motives and reasons for being mad at ML but I sincerely hope, it stays that true to her character (Woman with integrity, intelligence and morals) and don't do stupid things like hanging out with SML crowd (cliche jealousy route).

How is "midnight love in the hagwon"? I was planning to watch it, but it has very low rating for a k-drama and I have heard a lot of good things about Love Next door (Jung So Min). You can watch Prince Royal too but fast forward majority of SML scenes, until you reach ep 30 after which his conversations are necessary to understand the story line.
