Brother un-learn/read the novel from your mind or wait till it has finished airing, otherwise there is no solace to this frustration. I am telling you from experience, you will only get angry and lash out at other people due to this !
at this point I am watching it as parody of normal life !

I feel you brother and I was felt the same way during TPR airing and I came to simple conclusion, although reading novel helps but knowledge is a curse and the constant torture of "What its and what it could have been" is way too much.
Hence I decided to never read novel of any drama before airing, I would rather be in ignorant bliss but even that plan backfired cuz they dramatically changed main character.

There is nothing wrong with chasing after FL and showing your sincerity as long as its done within the bounds of characters personality, the real issue is complete 180 degrees shift in personality and completely unhinged shit. Like stabbing and threat of burning live. While at the same time completely different response to another party, who has done worse (I am considering the concept of you only care about actions of you those love, but you also think about protecting your ones, not hurting them).

Brother gone were the days of solid layered characters with certain sense of morality, money and profits have corrupted everything. This isn't art and production houses have no confusion about it, this is all about business and full-filling costumer demands. Look at comment section, do you blame them?

I am saying these things cuz I have deduced contrary to popular belief, its just another chinese formula drama and producers will pull out all of the cliches. That being said, Wang Chu Ran acting has improved by a lot and she proved, she can keep up with senior actor like ML.

Lol I only incite wars in active war zones on dramas I don't plan on watching like MD and LYF2, and I visited LYF2 page cuz I was planning on watching the series but just watched one episode.
TPR was trash and it fundamentally changed my views MDL majority viewers and c-dramas in general. I think I was pretty active on TPR page and you may have seen me there. I am not trying to incite chaos here, this is just bad and FL morality don't make any sense to me. She can't forgive ML for simple lying but can forgive SML for lying, manipulation, murder of her loved ones and much more.
I know people/especially girls only care about actions of their loved ones but stabbing, burning and now insulting is taking it bit to far, that being said do you feel like Ziyu is like a child, who has everything handed over to him by others (FL and Prince Sui). Once he can't have FL, he will flip and try to forcibly make her his concubine or something else.

I haven't read the novel, (TPR experience was enough for me and I learned my lesson) and I am guessing judging by the tone of the writer. I was judging todays episode based on previews and I have watched half of episode 24, it went about as much as I guessed !

See to ship characters you have to watch atleast half of the drama but I dropped it at ep 4 and I remember it cuz MD fanbase lead the downrating assault on another k-drama airing alongside it (I don't remember the name, but it was of red sleeve FL).
But I personally believe chaos in LYF-2 comment section was also lit, just like MD I watched one episode of season 1 but when I checked out the comment section. I found out FL has somehow lead 4 men on for 49 episodes and this drama isn't for me but still participated in fan-wars supporting the Xiang Liu guy.
TPR was just trash !
