The start of this drama reminds me a bit of The Glory featuring Chen Duling and Xin Yunlai
We see these kind of background often (FL being sent elsewhere & raised by their grandmother), like in The Double, The Rise of Ning (played by the same FL), maybe it's represent common practice happening at that time.

FL is 18 in the drama, her father mentioned this at ep 4, ML age in the drama hasn't been disclosed so far, am guessing they'll make the gap lesser than the novel

Iqiyi hv the trailer for future ep but the trailer I was talking about is a longer main trailer & different than both main trailer that got posted on iqiyi (1 trailer) & wetv (2 trailers).
I'm watching the ep on wetv so idk about iqiyi subs but usually mango is the worse from all.
