I understand WJ may feel their relationship ended so abruptly when he think their conversation went well the night before (so he deserve her explanation), but I think he now gets that JY reaction came from a result after being neglected by him for months, so yeah he need to prove his worth to earn her trust if he want to rekindle their relationship (what he did on ep 13 is a perfect example for that & you can see she's warming up to him).
