Yun Xi hasn't finished filming Light Chaser but he took 1 day off to join BE script reading, such dedication, hopefully he took care of his health well & have enough rest before resuming his filming.

Nothing can top Si Feng love on LAR, his love is selfless & sincere while the ML on AOL Xu Feng I find a self centered & entitled, spoiled ML with horrible evil bitch mother that make me dropped the drama, I can't stand the way he keeps claiming the FL. The 2nd ML Run Yu deserves a better treatment, he stole the show for me.
LAR by far is unbeateable in terms of excitement, character and acting that I find other xinxia came as bland.
I'm already lost counting at how many times I've rewatched LAR while I barely can complete other Xinxia, AOL included.

Idk if you've reach the 50++ ep where you shd hv seen her past life in the heavenly realm, in short, she had suffered & been wronged hugely by the heavenly realm thus it brought her so much anger & resentment in her heart that she then were brought to the mortal realm to have her retribution.

Si Feng was there in her past 9 lifes accompany her getting through her retribution, teach her love & sincerity little by little in her cold heart that full of hatred (brought from her past life).
Basically the meaning of the title itself, Love & Redemption.

Oh how I wish they included everything in the ep, some of it were cut so maybe what you've seen is the deleted scene. The actual scene taken is actually pretty long & it's the director's idea to shoot that kind of intimate scenes, you can see the director on the BTS esp demonstrated how it shd goes (& CY even scream when he saw it, lol).
In the interview the director told that it took CY&BY long enough to be mentally prepare, because the minute CY's ready, BY feel shy & the minute she's ready, he's ticklish, lol.
We might still see some french onscreen (thank goodness) but most of it got deleted, due to censorship, I guess.

As your question if it's too much, idk how censorship works on costume drama, but for modern drama I think it's quite common? Not sure about it, but at least Love is Sweet had a plenty steamy make out scenes (great one like on LAR) 😄.

Ahaha, I couldn't help it, I don't have the heart to see another 30++ ep just to see RY (the only character I care about) become emotional punching bag for others & take destructive path.

Tbh, I don't see JM connection with XF, it's pretty shallow imo & I see it as XF forced feeling over her.
To me their relationship only gets deeper after they're on the mortal realm.

But all of it doesn't actually matters to me since long way back what I see from XF is the minute he heard her engagement with RY, he pretends to be all sick, naggy & being all clingy to JM to stole a kiss from her & spend the night together, like how am I supposed to like him, I won't be able to root for him knowing all of that.

Lol, me too, it won't take long for me to explode, even I'm at my limit with only seeing the heavenly mother empress face doing nothing on my tv screen 😂

Oh I believe he'll only know about it in a verylater time as he hasn't until ep 27 where I dropped the drama. I got that impression that it will be RY path he had to choose (being a sacrificed character for CP sake) but to me JM hasn't love XF if XF didn't pursue her after her official engagement with RY, XF-JM bond is actually still pretty shallow atm imo & RY-JM relationship is actually has a future/ possible to happen, as they have a pretty similiar ground& mutual understanding,

But XF choose to interfere & whatever RY did after that is a domino effect because it's all started from XF who keep claiming the FL despite she's engaged to RY. (Like, whose fiancee won't get mad to see another man kissing his fiancee & claiming her left and right).

That's why XF came to me as a selfish person & spoiled, he used to get everything what he wanted as everything has always been served to him in a silver/gold plate & he see everything from his pov only.

And true, RY fall down (being evil etc) is inevitable imo, most ppl who put in his position will end up the same or worse. I don't blame him for ended up like that, I blamed his environment that forced/ taught/ led him to do so.

I haven't come across any DL drama after AOL but I believe it'll be easy to like him,it's just I need more time to forget XF character before starting another drama of his so I can fully immerse/ enjoy his upcoming character😂

Ahaha, yeah, I actually liked the bromance here way more than the romance when I started this drama, too bad it's being sacrificed for the sake of love triangle.

That's why am emotionally hurted when I see how XF never even give a second thought at how his act pursuing JM, might affect his brother RY (unlike RY, who still think about XF but since he knew his mother killed her mom, he knew their relationship is doomed and has no future anw & RY didn't know JM feeling at first but even still feel guilty for XF inside for making an effort to be with JM as it's the first time for him to care and need someone beside him, after keep being selfless & used to give in to XF in his entire life).

XF just never consider his brother feeling & that's when he lost me 😩

Well at least I become a fan of LL from here, lol. I had nothing against DL, like him at first but it's just XF character that doesn't feel right to me so I almost can't stand to see him (& esp his evil mother) in the drama 😂.

My exact same thoughts, lol, I disliked AOL but thank God I discover Luo Yun Xi from there

XF lost me when he pursue his brother's fiancee even when it's never clear if JM ever love him & to me she's not at that time. Ppl may say JM-RY engagement is not based on love but to me whatever it was, their engagement is official with mutual consent from both & they're practically engaged since birth, so it came to me as it's pure XF selfishness & XF has no respect towards his brother RY.

As for RY downfall, what do people expect from a person who grew without love, keep being sacrificed, accused & constantly being tested, toss around and throw under the bus unjustifiedly with no one ever there for him.
Despite his effort to stay positive & optimist,those people around him basically worked together in driving him to the edge. Run Yu deserves a better treatment, that's why he's the only character who has my heart.

Even if we put other people on RY position, I don't think they'll do any better, worse maybe.

I'd like to know it too as I find none including AOL & ALP that I've tried but disliked so I dropped them both, other than that the only xinxia people been recommending but I haven't got to start it is Eternal Love/TMOPB, it's now on my ptw, I'll try it next.

Ikr?? This is my first xinxia & I feel like am doomed since I've tried many drama after completing this one but I can't even find any xinxia closer to this one/ as addictive or good, I keep dropping them left and right instead, let alone tops it.
How to move on.... this is my very big question too 😂
I don't think I'll be able to move on from Si Feng & Si Feng-Xuan Ji's chemistry.

But to my surprise, I find it to be more thrilling than I thought it would 🙈🤣

Ohh his role is a demon lord? 😍 can't wait to see it! I know nothing about this drama/ novel tbh, I hope someone can share/ submit their synopsis 😄
I'm currently waiting for his modern drama Lie to Love as well, hopefully it can be released soon, I'll watch anything from him tbh 😂

Glad to hear we shared the same view 😘. I've tried my best to like the main couple but I can't, I can't overlook what XF did & it bothers me whenever I see the leads together, Run Yu deserves better.

Idk if it will be helpful for you or not, but I'd like to share my view on this drama:
I've only encounter Deng Lun (DL) & Leo Luo(LL) for the first time from this drama, so I have no bias over any of the actor when I started watching AOL.

DL's character Xu Feng I find came as a spoiled ML who has many privillege, while LL's character Run Yu came as a pretty sad & lonely character.
At first I like XF, but as more ep goes, I can't help but rooting for RY the most which later RY turned to be the only character I care for his well being about from the entire drama, he's quite a pitiful character who try his best to be optimist & positive despite his circumstance keep telling him otherwise.

It doesn't help when I find XF is trespassing his boundaries he never should, to be with the FL, it came to me as his selfishness forcing his one sided love over respect to his brother RY.
So I can't see myself rooting for the CP here & mostly got annoyed whenever I see the main leads/ couple together.
(Mind that I rarely suffered for SLS, unless the first ML is toxic, I'm mostly, will always root for the first ML.)

And here, ofc Run Yu as a second ML had to bear all the consequence after the CP basically drive him to the edge. I had to drop this drama because I don't see why I shd continue and be tortured to watch more CP moments I'll never root for & see the only character I care about being all miserable.

The only thing that left me have no regret starting this drama is because am thankful I discover Leo Luo's talent from this drama, I've even started & completed Love is Sweet & The Winner is Love (after dropping AOL) for him and now he becomes one of my fav actor 🙌😄

But Leo Luo is a great actor whom she shared a tremendous chemistry with & I don't see why actors had to be limited & dictated by the fans say on who shd to be paired with or not, it makes no sense & toxic. It's the actor's right to decide which project they'd like to take, not us viewers nor fans, threatening to boycot = pure toxic.

what you keep seeing as his accumulating deed is what he did as kids & I don't think he ever bully her in highschool so Idg why one simple mistake in his highschool day is so unforgivable.
I don't see the FL terrified at him too, rather she treat him like childhood friends who often having a quarrel & idt his deed as kid is enough to mark him as bully either, & the power play also is just how their professions work in real life (with pressure, heavy task and high demand) but well I guess to each of their own, so yeah let's just stop here.
