so he took it, but it wasn't supposed to harm her whatsoever, he didn't know any of that things.

Also isn't it pretty common whether in real life nor drama for a person to get jealous & prone to make mistake over someone you personally care about because they're especially afraid to loose their special person?
Which drama doesn't have this kind of thrope?

Hmm idk if you've gotten to that part when they revealed what happened that day, you need to see his pov, it's nothing like that tbh.. there'll be always to tale of coins, two side of story, so it isn't fair to judge him solely from her pov only, imo.

I don't think I've missed anything but from what I see, what you think as "bully" is backthen when they were kids, I won't judge a kid & labelled him as a bully for the rest of his life esp since his intention is nothing like that & I don't think it's that bad either otherwise her parent won't stand still.

On their highschool days he never did things to be called as a bully, they hv misunderstanding & quarrel like any normal highschool friends will have, imo, or at least, I have, lol.

But we never know how the script for this drama, right? Who knows it's a great one. Heard that Bai Lu wish to play a Xinxia drama as well so this might be the one & to be pair with familiar face/ co-star is another plus thing to consider as an actor as the time spent to adapt will be far less. If she decide to accept the role I totally can see why & her fans shd respect her decision if they are their real fans.

Imo it's better for her to accept this drama so the toxic fans will know that they can't dictate her & they have 0 standing.
She's free to choose whatever drama she want to play, all those nay sayers can get lost.

The only similiarity to me would be they fell on Xinxia category & things that forbid the heroine to realize their feelings, but other than that idt they give the same feelings, at least for me. I love Si Feng character so much while Xu Feng character annoys me & I can't root for CP love on AOL where as on LAR am rooting for CP beautiful love. Also, I find LAR has more exciting things going on in their initial ep like tournament & stuffs which idg in AOL, imo.

Latest casting rumour I heard seems the FL went back to Bai Lu, which I hope both Leo Luo & Bai Lu accepts as their chemistry is unbelievably amazing on Love is Sweet.

But please, don't let this drama become another drama who got ruined by the TOXIC FANS, I've had enough & totally sicked of these self entitled fans who held high horse and think they can dictated their fav actors by threatening & boycotting the drama.

I shared the same feelings, got annoyed on Xu Feng character at Ashes of Love, I got a total second lead syndrome & had to dropped the drama at ep 27, I don't like the first ML FL character nor their story & Run Yu deserve better.
Si Feng & his selfless love on LAR is just too beautiful & unbeatable for me 🙌😄.

You know a drama (as very well their acting & directing) is doing great when it brings you joy, laugh & warm heart throughout the ep but 1 minute epilogue can bring you an instant cry like how they did it here 🙌❤

She can't be protected all the time of her life won't she? so at the moment while he can protect her, he want to built the FL character (she used to be a crybaby) & learn to thicken her skin so she can survive & ready to face the harsh world herself. Yuan Shai's way of thinking is not that farfetched tbh and actually really works in developing the FL character tho it came at the expense of her end up cursing/ hating him.
He isn't that mean either, some of it is just a pure misunderstanding from the FL side.
He also learn his mistakes & doesn't shy away from admitting it if he realized his perception is wrong, a lovely guy I'd say.

Just dropping by to say how I love this drama, finally a drama I managed to complete after dropping dramas left & right.

Totally love the couple, their bickering/bantering & making out scenes is seriously the best & feel so damn real!! With one of the greatest chemistry I've seen in a while 🔥.

Their highschool parts is refreshing & sweet, I wish I could see more of that. And would love if I could see more scenes of Jiang Jun acknowledge Yuan Shai presence, love & reliability, past and present, (since the boy is whipped af & I think she's kinda taking it for granted, a lil'), but I love the pairing nonetheless ❤.

The 2nd couple relationship however, I find unnecessary & cringy, so i skipped some of their parts.
Love them as MLFL best friend/family, but them to eachother just not my style 🤣

Other than that, the drama is very enjoyable, funny & sweet 🙌, the kind of drama that I can easily rewatch every now & then 😘❤

PS: You need to watch their BTS & deleted kiss scene if you haven't, their overflowing chemistry, sweet & funny interaction even translated offscreen, hot stuffs.

Hmm if it's modern, you have to see Someday or One day, or maybe Love is Sweet (for a lighter one) but if you're looking for colossal drama...
Not sure either, I tried watching ALP & AOL but I dropped them both (find ALP bland & had problem with ML character on AOL so I can't root for the CP), Si Feng is just too unbeatable for me..
If you like Si Feng, you might wanna try Stand by Me who played by the same ML, Cheng Yi, I love his character there & the only colossal drama I loved & managed to complete after LAR, so far 😄.

Me too 😂 Months later & I still can't move on, am already lost counting at how many times I've rewatched this series while dropping plenty other dramas left & right 😅

Just dropping by to say how Love and Redemption has the best eternal love story & ML character I've ever seen to date, along with Someday or One Day (T-drama), and that's alot esp coming from kdrama watchers like me :))
