I feel you, knowing how purely depressing it is (both journey & ending), viewers did need a consolation after watching this kind of drama, it's indeed might be too much to take, moreover to binge.

True 😂 I heard how sorrowful Cheng Xu's life journey is so I did a sneakpeak at ep 11 & 50 of TPoC and they had me bawled.
Gosh, the angst & sorrowness is really on another level, depressing & just pure tragic.
But Cheng Yi's acting & portrayal is really amazing, I might give'em a try or take another sneakpeak just to see that, I think I love torturing myself if it's for Cheng Yi 😂

My guess from the trailer, I think it's happen after "the fake death" of CRY.
QY mourned alot on her death so when she turn out to be alive, he might just doesn't want to risk her life anymore, esp looking how his own condition seems only getting worsen & may not able to survive.

Me too, hahaha, his suffering acting is too damn good & felt real that I find it addictive to see that, getting the heartbreak from him and suffering along with him (I feel like a bit of masochist here, lol), first time feeling this way to an actor, so I thought it's only me 😂

Ahaha that's my initial worries/ thought too, but don't worry, the characters & set up are so different that I see them as a total different characters, so I have no problem in rooting/ see them together as a couple 😄

I completed L&R only this month as well and felt the same way, can't move on from Si Feng. Then I started Stand by Me & can't get enough of it.

When Qi Yan can't afford to give his blessing to Yu Er & his tears start falling, his first emotional breakdown infront of the woman he loves, after holding everything on his own.
It's really heartbreaking & the moment has been beautifully & poignantly captured.

It goes to my fav list & I keep repeating the scene over & over and died a lil' everytime.

It's just so amazingly portrayed.
And the following scenes,
How serene his look when sleeping & the kiss after, tears falling and voice starts cracking, gosh, just magnificent & show how pure and tragic their love is 😭
The acting, directing, everything is so on point 🤧
