Ahh so there're more candidates than we thought. Cheng Xi is one crazy ambitious lady tho, sometimes I find it funny how she keeps flipfloping in supporting other people left & right to be the next emperor, only then offering herself when no one accepts, sounds desperate af 🤣

Totally worth watching imho, this drama taught us what sincere & selfless love can be, the ML character here is the best I've seen, it also has a very happy & satisfying ending, so the angst are paid off & make their love even more beautiful & precious. The leads also have a great chemistry here.

Yess! Loving today's ep, Qi Yan's eyes conveys everything, am melting, he keep lying with his word but his eyes tells everything, really loving Cheng Yi's acting here, so mesmerizing.

Ep 25-26: am heartbroken to see Qi Yan's looking so defeated, what Cheng Xi said to him really harmed him both physically & internally. Cheng Xi is really getting on my nerves, her audacity!

Qi Yan 😢 Yu Er will always be his soft spot, really loving the way he sees her.

Can't imagine the heartbreak & anguish will be when they know eachother's identity, we'll be heading that way soon.

I never hated Xu Kai, I was only replying to the OP how I perceive his acting compare to Cheng Yi & why I'm having trust issue as what's been told doesn't align with the way I see it. It's just my opinion tho.

I respectfully disagree, Qi Yan never ask Yu Er to choose him over her aunt, what he want is for her to be honest with him & talk it out.
So it was translated as Yu Er doesn't trust Qi Yan with the way she keep everything from him. He keep giving her a chance to explain, 3 question yet she answers nothing, she could ask for his pardoning or give her the time to investigate everything, yet she didn't.
Eventhough I can see where Yu Er is coming from, it's clearly her mistake & Qi Yan has the right to be upset and feeling betrayed.

The question you're referring to was asked before she rejoined the silver burreau & she said that she need time to deduct it on her own (with that question laid on the table) whether Qi Yan is worth her loyalty or not & Qi Yan gave her the time.
By her coming to the palace & rejoin silver burreau as Qi Yan's sword bearer, she shd hv know that it means she already gave him her answer, her sole loyalty to Qi Yan.

I'm new to cdrama & try to start ALP few days back but I find it boring & find the main lead's acting feels bland/ weak (first time seeing Xu Kai there) but the viewers there said that Xu Kai's acting/ the cast's acting were better than Cheng Yi's/ cast's acting on LAR, that's why am having trust issues & haven't continue watching it 😂

Been watching hundreds drama titles, I know Cheng Yi's acting is a gem & this kind of actor doesn't come often.
His acting really impressed me.
