It's just I understand where both are coming from that I feel sad for them all, including the uncle eunuch. But mostly Qi Yan, he even went to blame himself to have his uncalled feelings when he clearly know he can't afford it, poor Qi Yan

Cheng Xi share the same mother hence she maybe remember the hatred her mom/ brother gets/ all the suffer they had hence push Prince Gwang to the throne as a vengeance to show that a commoner's blood can rule the Qi's clan

While I understand where CRY's coming from but it was a bad move, to be fair, it wasn't her intention tho, her naivety just gets the better of her, to think that her aunt deed can be reverse/ undo.

Imo this drama did really well in building their momentum, it's just a lot of parties being involved & all of them had different target in mind, making it unpredictable who is their friend & who is their foe and no one will know the result with all these mind game, different strategist & they keep changing sides, I personally really love it!

He trusted Ruo Yu wholeheartedly & am not sure which scene you're referring to but he never doubt Ruo Yu, her aunt is a total different case tho, even I never trust her loyalty from the start.
Unlike Ruo Yu who has always been telling Qi Yan what's clearly on her mind whatever it is, even told him clearly when she need her time to deduct & see if Qi Yan's worth it to be given her loyalty, her aunt is always sus.

My exact feelings! That's why I love the OTP so much, they're both suffering too much & receive all those undeserving mistreatment so harshly.

He's not playing hard to get, but considering his circumstance, all those stakes & how he had all eyes set on him, he's been telling that to remind himself on what's the right thing to do, although his heart keep telling him otherwise.

Yes! My exact feelings, both sisters have their own charm & strength.
Love seeing how Ruo Yu's character grows & matures. I adore her more & more.
She learned her past mistakes, doesn't shy away from admitting her mistakes/ bad prejudice & eager to learn from others.
And her character is really refreshing in the sea of these scheming people.
Exactly what Qi Yan's need, a breath of fresh air who has a warm heart.
His inner monologue is so on point, to discover her like that how can he not love her.

😂 She is Qi Yan's safe haven/ fresh air for Qi Yan, otherwise he'll be too pitiful/ lonely & it'll be too suffocating for him, so I can only wish you all the best of luck to get fond of her character 🤭

I love Yan Zhi too, one of the best written strong FL character indeed (& great acting from Lulu Xuan), but seeing how Ruo Yi character matures really pleased me, she's growing on me real fast & now I really adore her character. It doesn't take too long, she's quite a fast learner 😄
