I appreciate your input although when it comes to acting, I doubt my mind would change because that one (acting) on LAR stood high for me (currently served as best actor for me) while I feel bland in this one (the one who play Tian Qi even overshadow the ML here while he's not when playing as Hao Chen on LAR).

Not sure if I'll manage to get pass almost half of their series just to like them/ change my view, but I'll try to give them more ep and see if my mind would change, thank you for the input!

Ahaha I see your point & I agree that the production value (CGI) on ALP is superior than LAR & you're right it maybe just a matter of preference.

When it comes to drama, what matters to me the most is the acting & the plot which to me LAR delivered very well even from the get go (while ALP haven't) & more than I expected them to be, while production value in drama is rather not important & just served as a bonus point for me, hence quite explain why I dislike DOTS, tho it maybe consider as one of the most favourable/best kdrama with high production value for many.

Ep 21-22: Am really happy to finally see Qi Yan's smile with less burden (great acting from Cheng Yi!), why so shortlived.. 😭
I really love the twins, they have their very own charm & wise like their grandfather. I'm rooting for Qi Yan and both twins having HEA at the end, please!

Read it somewhere that he hurt his waist too, twice & had to be piggybacking at times, gosh it hurts me to see him in this condition, hoping for him to have a speedy recovery 😢

Oh, back then I started the drama without reading reviews/ watch the trailer, so my assessment was pure coming from the drama only & imho, the drama is totally worth it, their love story are just epic.

Love and Redemption, that one is excellent xinxia, great acting from ML FL, with a devoted & selfless ML character who raised the bar sky high, strong couple w/ great redemption arc & chemistry (very happy ending too).

Like you, am also new to C drama, rather bored with K drama too, haha.
I've been captivated by Cheng Yi's acting (one of the best actor) upon my discovery on LAR & been following his work since then, am currently watching Stand by Me (airing drama of his).

Only w/ this drama, 2 days waiting feels like a year or even longer to me.
Try a bunch of new dramas but none manage to hold my attention & all the other airing feel bland.

I felt that too, I've been countlessly rewatching LAR (even till these days, lol), & currently am also watching Stand by Me and got obsessed with that one too, Cheng Yi is just amazing, I fell hard on both character he portrayed.
I guess Cheng Yi dramas can only be replaced by his only, because I've tried many other dramas as well but like you said, everything felt bland & I just can't move on, lol.

Sigh, I think I've even watched every trailer, bts, spoiler of SBM, even including South Wind's too, anything just to see these two together onscreen 😂
Can't they just release the ep & their upcoming drama asap, just help this poor soul, please 😂

Given the 1st two ep, I find this one really boring like nothing is happening, on LAR we hv tournament & such, many interesting character & believable buildment of their relationship & imo better chemistry.
Here, I find the MC interaction rather unorganic since the ML is ice cold but easily change on first two ep only. I cringe when romantic song already happening when MC around, while the FL had daydreaming at the ML that instant 😂

I can only buy Tian Qi character & coming long way from Hao Chen it tells alot how he's a good actor.
The MC however haven't yet caught my attention.

LAR hooked me from the get go & getting stronger by each ep with their strong love, so idk if ALP will be able to come close, but I hope so.

- & I already got a 2nd hand embarassment

Such a dissapointment, LAR is far superior than this.
The only thing I like is Tian Qi character, idk if I shd keep watching.

Seriously, the wait has become unbearable for me, I've even started 3 new dramas just to distract me from all this waiting but I like none of them & might dropping it all .. 🙈 😭

I think the girl you're referring to is A Wu, but would love if you can confirm that too if you happen to rewatch the ep :)
