I love that love is blooming so beautifully on this show. I think it’s so refreshing that we have a female lead…
Here's the thing: 1. L to me give a more natural dongsaeng kind of vibe rather than a manly vibe one, esp when he gets to be paired with SHS who to me felt a lot more senior/give a more mature vibe, so it's only natural for me to see him as her dongsaeng.
2. The character's writing isn't helpful either as L here was written as a bubbly, cheeky kind of angel who often show his child kind of side.
3. The lack of writing was a disadvantage for L as the romance was written without a proper built up too. I get that Yeon Soo was dependable to Kim Dan & it's beautiful to see them bonding, but I don't see him seeing her as a woman just yet, at that time at the very least, he acknowledge, appreciate & help her yes, but it's more to fulfill his duty & in reality there's alot other kind of bonding aside from romance, infact, Kim Dan to me still felt a lot more as dependable brother at that time, as her uncle/parents replacement.
So when she suddenly kissed him and he kissed her back, I was like (o_0), then suddenly just like a bomb they were already mad in love & he even already at the point where he is ready to throw his God/receive whatever punishment he will be getting, only to be with her. It's really felt out of nowhere as there's no progress but from A to Z real quick, the romance feels forced & not believable to me. Tbh, it's even irks/cringes me to see them kissing as I don't even see their chemistry/sparks as a romantic couple, I can only see them as brother & sister who bickers alot.
4. Though I don't ship Ji kang Wo & Yeon Seo as a couple, but to me Ji Kang Woo & Seol hee had a lot more chemistry than Dan & Yeon Seo. I can see them more as a proper, same emotional wavelength, believable romantic pair to me.
It feels like am watching The K2 all over again, everything else to me is more interesting than the romance part, but sadly they're focusing too much on those romance with no sparks, when I can only see them as siblings. When did exactly he fell for her? just because she kissed him? Eh, I don't buy it. It felt too forced & rushed.
And idk if it's the writing or L's acting but I find he is lacking when he had to convey emotional scenes, am sad to say this but he doesn't move me (though I'm usually easy to get in tears), even the child's actor gave a better performance to me. L often show the same stares & exaggerating in some of his scenes, his acting doesn't convince me as I can see him acting.
This show is gold I can tell you, they're hilarious & even better than some of those shows who got a 8.5++ rating. Idk why their rating here are so low. Maybe because the leads are not so popular? It's their lost though, SSR is so perfect for his role here & I'm in love with his character, he is hilarious, eccentric but have a big ounce empathy in his heart. I don't understand the hate tbh. They're not without a flaw but which shows are without it? It's only the beginning, so there's a room to grow, for a character development, a lesson to be learned, etc, so I wouldn't be too nitpicking & just enjoy the show.

Seol hee & Kang Woo had an electrifying chemistry instead and I feel this drama can be multiple times better if this show is about Seol Hee and Kang Woo's journey rather than Yeon Seo and Dan's, not only because they had the better chemistry but also because I'm so done with this childhood connection/thrope Dan-Yeon Seo had, it's like everywhere in any kdrama I watched, ugh.
Their OST is really something else though, especially Pray by Klang, so damn beautiful & beyond every other OST I've heard.
I love this show & yes imo they're one of the best airing/2019 released show but for me their most intriguing part was Kang Woo's backstory.
I'm more interested in his character because I think his character is the closest to real one as most ppl wont survive for not being bitter after all of those things he has been through. And I personally liked a drama more when they explored those grey/in between lines rather than keeping it save as a vanilla being :D
The amount of coincidental meeting between Dada & Ma Wang Joon is getting really tiresome. Also, the more ep in, I disliked Ma Wang Joon more & more. I think I liked his character in the manga better than in this drama, here he is just too grumpy & self centered, ugh idk, I just dislike him. Also, I hope Dada will start to appreciate Young Goo more & stop throwing her anger at him as she pleased everytime she had a fight with MWJ. Poor Young Goo, it's like seeing a puppy being kicked, he deserves better.
Am I the only one who hope that she could ended up with 2nd ML at the end rather than them pull out a sad ending (her with no one since the 1st ML is an angel) ? Kim Dan is such a sweet & savage angel and I love him, but Ji Kang Wo's character is so damn interesting too & am curious to know more of his story.
I think this drama & my absolute boyfriend (another drama that I watched) had that possibility (for the writer to pull out such a twist, learned a life lesson from the 1st ML but may ended up with the 2nd ML) though the chances are low since this is a kdrama after all.
Here, I think I'm leaning towards the 2nd ML more but I'm still leaning towards the 1st ML on the later one (though it's impossible, welp).
So far, am loving everything about this amazing drama, well, maybe except for that one little thing. Ugh those darn flashback, please no more childhood connection jebal, am sick of it after HPL x'D
The rating here is too low, it's def better than 8.1. This is a good adaption of the manga actually. I too hope they won't break my heart till the very last end. I know he is a robot, but still.. I wish there's something they can workout with at the end, am I dreaming the impossible? :"(

He always take interesting roles, a challenging & a different kind of one. Also, I just discover that he can move his ears & some vein on his face here on Doctor Prisoner, like wow idk if it's even possible, he gave me chills when he did that, just excellent.
Please do more drama with Hwang Jung Eum, she's your very best partner, you both had the best chemistry I've seen & each of you portraying such a damn good emotion, the feels were just amazing!!! I can't get enough of you both, just done rewatching KMHM & Secret, my eyes are still all swollen but still craving for more. Do more drama with her, please! X'(
