I didn't know royal feast was removed from hunan tv airing because of the controversy with korean costume, i heard about the comparison between the two costumes back when the drama was airing, haters even compare it to a popular korean drama that also has the fl working in the food department and said it's copying that drama, but if you watch the two dramas you will see they're two completely different dramas.

Xukai character will have some similarity to his character in best choice ever as he also playing a ceo there, however in this drama the relationship between ml and fl will be focus more unlike in best choice ever that has a big focus on the mother and daughter relationship.

As for me, ml is the most interesting character in the drama with such complex personalities, and not just because he was played by xukai. He remains one of my most favorite characters of xukai that i won't forget anytime soon.

I remember they did have such a dialogue of them not having any memories and are looking for their past. Jinzhao didn't lose his memories like yue qi, he was created by bian luohuan to take care of yue qi, so i think him being sensible was due to what bian luohuan given him to have from the beginning since he never have any memories in the first place beside what he was given by bian luohuan.

In the first ep, we saw her as a fish turns into human, however i just thought it was just a dream of her and not real, turns out she was truly a fish ^^

I'm also guilty of that because i don't have a problem with the word as i read some bl novels myself. I used it interchangeably with the word brotherhood, but i know this drama is not a bl and will have two male leads so the focus will be on the friendship between them rather than in a romance , not saying there won't be any females in this drama, but i hope it will not add romance if it was intended to be no romance.

I like the scene in the elevator when she was talking to her mother, and her mother embarrassed her in front of everyone, ml was there also listening in on her conversation with her mother 😄

It's a happy ending just depending on whom you ship fl with, the emperor or fuca fuheng. If with emperor than it's a happy ending, she was able to climb to the highest position starting out as a maid. It's a very good harem drama in my opinion, try watching a few eps to see if it's for you.

I'm not sure how calling it bromance will get this drama investigated. How many dramas have that elements, lots of wuxias also have bromance as main themes like the one that was aired with cheng zi called lotus case book with three male leads or the blood of youth and the sequels. Does a drama that doesn't have romance will have to include one just to pass censorship, how stupid is that.

I don't think there is anything wrong with bromance as it focuses on two male leads, don't mistaken bromance as bl, many dramas can have bromance without being label bl as bl is bann in china. I don't think this has anything to do with haters as people will ship them regardless as long as dramas about two male leads lol.
