The people on here seem to be judging the mother just because she prefer the boyfriend to be rich than poor, but let be honest what parents wouldn't want their daughter to marry well and have less to worry about money. My objection with the mother is how she arranged her daughter marriage behind her back and insisting it was for her own good without consulting her daughter. This might've been done in the old day when parents have much more control over their children lives and even plan their marriage to complete stranger, nowaday children are more independent and have their own careers so her action is consider as unbecoming.

The mother was the only one left out of the loop about the fall out between fl and the ex's family over the business venture with ml that the ex's family blamed on fl. Also the mother wasn't the only person that comes to the ex's house, the ex's mother came to her house to apologize and want their son to get back together with her daughter, so it's a wonder she has expectations. The message is nobody is perfect, the same with the mother. And the parents are not always right as this drama highlight how wrong this mother was as she drove away her daughter because of how controlling she was. Different audiences see differently i suppose due to the different culture and upbringing asians probably are more receptive to this drama as they can relate to their own disfuntional family. In my opinion both mch and her brother are too perfect, in the real world children wouldn't be that obedient and would rebel and acting out as a result the mother's imperfection got highlight even more.

I seen his photos when he was a model so i know what i'm talking about. He was extremely skinny as a teenager while he was working as a model. And let not point finger and blame on the actress just because they worked together. He could've been ask to lose weight for those dramas, his weight is fine in snow eagle lord and sword and fairy 6 and those two dramas have lots of action scenes, and as i remembered he once said the director asked him to lose weight on wonderland of love, but even then when they were doing an interviewed while they were filming he was eating because he said he was hungry while jing tian didn't eat anything. So how do you know, it could've been the other way around and xukai has a positive influence on jingtian because later on after wonderland of love aired jingtian was seen eating along with xukai when they were doing an interview.

Then you haven't seen how skinny he was when he was a model. I will be alarm when he don't have enough strengths to do action scenes, doing action scenes require having muscular strength and endurance. Xukai does his own action scenes and as a result he needs to build up his strength by eating and keep up a healthy physics, otherwise it's easy to get injured if you don't have upper body strengths, that's why he's building up his muscle and eating more healthy.

And how many years were those dramas filmed, a person is allow to age. Why are you insisting on him staying like his younger self, maybe all xukai wants is to look older and more mature as he age. Also loss in kunlin moutain has lots of action scenes, xukai does his own action scenes in all his dramas, so he could loss weight because of overworked. Also if you look at some videos of him you would always see him eating, xukai is not trying to lose weight or starving himself as you said.

If you know xukai started his çareer as a model then you would've know how skinny he was then. In term of his looks he gains and loses weight all the time, and models are the group of people who are the most likely to have weight issue as they're require to look skinny to fit with the standard. I'm glad xukai is an actor and not just a model who has to go by their looks only. As he has just finished filming a drama so it's understandable if he looks tired and exhausted as he has to film very late and has very little sleep. Xukai also participated in variety shows and he looks like he's enjoying himself, so not understanding where all your negativìty comes from but it's misplaced.

I think the problem come down to mch and her brother were such good kids so the mother problem got highlighted more as the mother has such a strong personality. They would usually avoid confrontation with their mother and keeping secret from her rather than letting her know their troubles.
