This drama highest rating was 8.7, and it gotten 8.6 rating for 2 years straight after it aired. Don't worry too much about rating though, dramas that are good will have people to talk about it without the need for inflated rating to show its quality ^^

So it's even more complicated than ancient love poetry? It took me a few watches to understand everything about the world of alp, and I thought it's one of the best plots for a xanxia. In my opinion a drama that's hard to understand usually loses audiences even if it's good, like legend was kind of hard to understand because of editing problems and things that happened that kind of confusing to the audiences like was it a dream or was it real kind of thing lol. That's why the legend loss lots of its momentum towards the end because of the confusing ending, as well as too much focused on side characters.

Agree having a youthful look is not bad at all when he gets older. For now because of the characters he played and the actresses he paired with are usually older than him, lots of people don't like the pairings and said they don't have chemistry. For me I would give every drama of xukai a chance because I love his acting and he also introduced me to many actresses that I wouldn't know about if I didn't watch his dramas like Zhou dong yu and jing tian, etc.

That is his best feature in my opinion ^^

Most of xukai's dramas don't focus on romance like she and her perfect husband, lots of people gotten disappointed because the trailer shows lots of romantic moments between leads couples, and drama focused mostly on fl and her career.

I find his character is too lucky, I wonder if some of the editing took out some important scenes like the one where he found out minister gu was the one who was a traitor who worked with sun when even lini didn't find out. Who gave him that info to threaten minister gu to help him with his plan?

How does a CEO should look. In my opinion with xukai his biggest drawback is he looks much younger than his age of 28, sometimes he even looks like a teenager if he's dresses casually and also depends on how he styles himself. However he can also looks older if he dresses more formal, so I'm looking forward to see xukai playing the CEO role because hanting wear mostly suits. In ancient love poetry, I think that was one of his best acting, he was criticized for being too young to play an ancient god, but he pulled it off, so I'm sure he'll be able to pull off hanting as well ^^

I saw there was a modern drama airing on tencent on Jan 10, so I'm questioning whether amidst a snowstorm of love will air since there's already a modern drama airing right now. Or tencent will air more than one modern drama at the same time?

I think you got it wrong, the first born son and the daughter are bad but not as bad as the queen. The second born son is not spineless, he broke off with his mother after he found out all the bad things she did. The only thing he didn't do is exposed her because she's still his family. But I agree king is spineless for letting her fooled him for so long, his love for her I could never understand. The reason the king and queen were rulers because they were only few gods that survived the attacks of the devil. If you saw they got married and became king and queen after that, the only other gods beside them were gujun and houchi, gujun is just as powerful as the heavenly king and queen and were just as respected. Houchi on the other hand only has the title but without the power to go with her title.

I'm surprised that people keeps look down on xukai's acting because they focus only on his good look. He's good looking but I follow him because I like his acting and in my opinion china has so many good looking guys xukai is not the only good looking guys out there, what with the insult. Before I like xukai, i'm more attracts to manly looking guy than pretty boys. What I like though is he's not like other pretty boys who is only using their looks, but rather work hard and I also like that's he doing more action dramas and doing his own fight scenes. Wuxia is my favorite genre rather than romance, but I'm watching more modern dramas because of him, before I only watched mostly historical. For seven tan I only saw her in under the power with Allen ren, and I heard she has good chemistry with all her leading men, so I want to see her pairing with xukai because he also has chemistry with all his leading ladies. I hope as beautiful as you will do well and I'm looking forward to both of their characters.

Xukai has always been prettier than the fl in most of his dramas, it's always the fl getting lots of hates for her looks or her age, if not for that than her acting lol. I think that's one of the reasons why his dramas don't do well because people in china are too focus on looks so they don't like the pairings. It's too bad because xukai is a good actor and I always like his pairing of the various actresses he paired with. He is a chameleon and can be pair with anyone. For this drama I'm surprised seven tan and xukai don't show any age different, in fact seven tan is looking even younger than him ^^
