Haven't watch all eps, gotten to ep 34 and their relationship went from sweet to bittersweet. Even though he lied to her, I can't fault him for wanting her to live since she was getting weaker and weaker being with him. That wedding though it seems even his family doesn't know about his plan, but everyone at the academy knew is it because they're just bad actors that why xue ying didn't let them know about his plan?

When you claim he only relies on his good look that's why I can't help but reply back. As a fans of xukai I don't watch his dramas for his good look since in my opinion there're many good looking actors, but what attracts me is his hard work and how he's not afraid to play many different types of characters from serious to funny, from heroic to loser and how those characters mature and improve. Also in snow eagle lord his character has lots of fight scenes and he trained for months for the fight scenes to look good on screen. Not sure how many actors would do the same. In writing this the word problem I meant the same thing it's your opinion, I don't have a problem if you have constructive criticism but you didn't give any. Xukai is a talented actor who constantly learning in each drama he's in, and I can't wait to see his future dramas.

The recent eps are so sweet between main leads. Fl keeps being criticized for her acting, but in my opinion she's not a bad actress, she can act sad and she can cry beside smiling. The one actor I don't see being complained about is qing shi, he has many crying scenes and each time I just laughed at how bad it was, he can't squeeze out a single tears from his brother went missing to his uncle died to finding out his mother died while having too much screen times. Also I was looking forward to see him find out it was jin rong that caused his village to be attacked by demons and his uncle died, but now I just think he can't be save. Even if jin rong attack his brother he would still forgive her lol. Also was thinking jin rong would change after being with qing shi, but she would attack even his brother, made me think she can't be save either. These two bring down this drama due to how much screen time they got in the beginning. The main leads are the draw points for this drama especially xukai, just love how much he put in filming this drama, most of his fight scenes are great, also their relationship is solid from the very beginning, no love triangle or stupid misunderstanding and I watch to ep 33 ^^

It's a good watch. You can try a few episodes to see if it's something you want to watch. I'm watching for the main leads and really like it so far ^^

I'm watching it and think it's good drama and I'm watching from the beginning. I don't follow you since it's not trash if watching from ep 1 can really tell that I would've drop a lot of good dramas lol.

I follow all his dramas and he has good facial expressions depends on the characters as well. Not sure what's your problem with his acting because I have love all the characters he played including his recent drama snow eagle lord, and in that one he play very well the character of dongbo xueying.

Yeah should watch it yourself. Really like xukai in this drama, his character is very much like him in real life, hard working and persistent to advance no matter how difficult the journey is.

Why is jing qiu so trusting in situ hong, her servant said he could be working for the demons but apparently she didn't believe it since she's still trusting him by following him to his home. She gotten captured by the demon because of him, so she should know he's not a good guy. Still she haven't told xue ying or anyone about him. Ep 32 it's so emotional, xue ying has been training all this time to rescue his mother, but it was his mother's plan all along to be capture by the demons so she could kill the demon god. Now he is depressed since he couldn't save her, but finally he was able to free his ancient bloodline. Jing qiu seems to get weaker even though she has divine power, what going to happen to the both of them since xueying ancient blood line is making her weaker, are they able to stay together.

I think it's going to be happy ending. It's watchable, the main leads stay together and help each other training to become stronger to fight against demons as well as finding their parents. Good chemistry, some cheek kisses, there's one long kiss when they confessed to each other but that's about it. It's not heavily focus on romance it's an action drama after all, more like adventure type where the main leads stay together and face hardships together ^^

Finally the demon spy has been revealed. So glad to see finally the good guys able to trick the bad guys for once. So I'm starting to understand why jing qiu getting headaches so frequently it's because her body reacted to xue ying and his mother's ancient blood lines, so according to her servant ancient blood line can hurt even gods. What will happens now, can xue ying and jing qiu stay together.

Kind of has a feeling this drama underutilized some side characters, but give too much screen times to others that's why it feels uneven. When the drama focus on main characters and plot points it's good, but when it's sideline to those annoying side characters like jin rong and qing shi, it's became boring. That's why drama has been so much better without qing shi and jin rong. I hope at least qing shi will find out jin rong was behind the demons attacks on his village, and the reason his uncle died. Wonder what that demon done to him that made him not able to talk otherwise she would've been exposed a long time ago.

I don't have Twitter so can't see it. But I did watch some episodes of great escape and find him really funny in it. Glad to hear he gotten more popularity from his participation in the show. Are you talking about him looking older I don't see anything wrong with it in fact I think it's a disadvantage for him when playing more mature character if he looks too young for the role. I love him playing baijue but there were haters that complaints that he was too young to play the part when ancient love poetry first aired, but he prove them wrong and nailed the role perfectly. I think he does look older after losing some weight, however he kind of fit with the character he's shooting in his current drama with yangzi. Xukai look younger than some actors who are younger than him in my opinion ^^

Not sure myself however I saw in BTS it looks like a happy ending.

Agree I like their eyes acting, without needing to say anything they can make us feel how painful it's for them to separate. From the beginning these two are so supportive of each other, and I love that. Just hope it won't change in the future, and there will no misunderstanding towards the end.

I like it so far, liking the main leads, sfl and sml. Just be aware of some annoying support characters that get too much screen times.

Xukai is different from other actors in my opinion since he doesn't take dramas for popularity rather he's focus on acting as a career, and what he cares for the most is getting the opportunity to improve his acting with each of his work. Also I don't see him aging anytime soon, in fact I feel bad for the actresses who pair with him since they would get criticized for looking older hence the no chemistry comment, we don't see that when younger actresses pair with older actors.

Watching to ep 30, why do I feel like the elders are just sacrificial victims and will be kill one by one eventually so the demon god will wake up. We have so many eps that focus on demon clan while the elders were never highlight one by one but always together as a group. Just like this ep, that elder that was the sister to knight changfeng's wife she was killed right after finding out about situ hong, and we don't know anything about her but jirong, qing shi and situ hong have so much screen times. Also that master of yang bo he didn't even get to train him beside helping improve on his technique before he was killed. The demon has all the advantages, the one who betrayed them can shape shift and change into any elders. I still don't believe master sikong is the master mind, that elder that helped situ hong i think is a spy in their midst. Also now we know that snowflake mark is the key to open the lock box so the demon god can awaken, so the solution is to destroy it but how to destroy it without hurting jing qiu. These masters are willing to sacrifice her to destroy it, don't they have any appreciation to her parents for helping them fight against the demon god, now they're just going to kill their daughter. The writing for these elders are not helping them, the only elders I like besides knight chengfeng and master sikong are death. Only the main leads and his friends do I feel the writing are consistent and they're not dumb down to make the demons side look better.

His character is really cool, I love this character so if anything it's not the source material just wish the production has more focus on main leads rather than on support characters.

The stunts are all done by xukai himself, xukai does his own fights in all his dramas. In an interview he said the director requires him to have basic training and will use very little vfx for his fight scenes compare to the other actors. He has trained in many weapons and he has trained with the spear in his past dramas like court lady and ancient love poetry.
