The one that has li yi tong? I heard about it but I saw on mdl it doesn't have very good rating compare to those other popular dramas, so it was popular in china. Good to know li yi tong was in the knock out and that popular xanxia drama so she's getting more exposure now good for her. Was hoping li yitong and xukai to star in another drama together ^^

It's not that he felt inferior to tao, he felt inferior to qin shi and felt she could do better.

But in regards to the divorce her friend was served divorce paper so many times and refused each time that showed she still has feeling for her husband and didn't want to end the marriage. Yang hua gave qin shi divorce paper and she agreed to it right away. Also how did her ex find out their marriage was fake, yang hua believes qin shi told tao and it means she still has feeling for him that's why he looks devastated when he saw tao asking her to marry him. Qin shi could've clear that misunderstanding by declaring her feeling for him, but she couldn't make it clear whether she still has feeling for her ex that's why yang hua wanted to test qin shi by giving her the divorce paper to see whether she will refuse him.

I think that was after his career failing, but after a while he started to bounce back and started living normally again.

Ml character has changed a lot actually after meeting qin shi. He chose to move out of his parents house, he went working for a company instead of working from home after many years. He confronted his failing and went back to working as a financial analyst at the end of the drama. Also personality doesn't change easily, his character was an introvert, and his failing in his first relationship was due to him putting work above all else, in his second relationship he put his relationship above his work, as a result he supports qin shi in her career choice even though she was very much like his old self. Both of them are bad at communicating their own feelings, but yang hua made an efforts, he did everything to support qin shi even though he was feeling jealous over her closeness to her ex.

I felt yang hua asking for a divorce was testing qin shi feeling for him and she failed when she agreed to the divorce. Once they're divorced both of them are free to see other people, yang hua was just showing qin shi how it feels to be jealous. Was it wrong to make qin shi confronted her feeling, both of them are mature individuals who know what they wanted, neither are at a disadvantage in their relationship. This seems to be a trust issue, and both have live with each other for a short time so they know each other's own characters.

Yang hua lived with his parents but he also made money from online investment so he has money of his own, and he also contributed to paying for the house, so that's totally different from relying on his parents. The problem arises for his parents is due to him refusing to date any of the girls his mother chose for him. I actually think he has a good plan to live within a modest means to save money for the future. Still it's a good thing he met qin shi and realized he should live on his own rather than with his parents since he's a grown man, but I still think his thinking about living modestly is not wrong.

I like the pairing actually, I'm just afraid it will be too similar to she and her perfect husband that one was another fl centric drama and there was too much focus on support characters than ml. If the ml is interesting in this drama, and it has a good plot I will still follow and support even if he has less screen time.

Agree about plot is king, but having a good plot doesn't automatically equates to popularity. Also story of yanxi palace have many known veteran actors and actresses that contributed to its success compare to court lady arsenal military academy or ancient love poetry which has an ensemble casts but are not as popular. Also this is just what I noticed in recent dramas that gotten popular, all of them have a focus on romance or bromance. She and her perfect husband of xukai is not popular due to the focus not on romance but on fl's career.

That's not always the case, I would argue having a good plot doesn't automatically makes it popular if it doesn't have either romance or bromance which is very popular at the moment. Story of yanxi palace does focused on a whole cast, but it still revolves around a romance of the main leads and the love triangle between the king, wei yingluo and fuca fuheng...

Yeah that true, but the dramas usually disappointed fans after they found out romance is not the main focus. That's why many of his dramas are not popular, since promoting a CP is what get people talking, but most of his dramas the focus usually are on the whole casts and not really on the main CP, or the focus is on the fl and sml that what causes fans dissatisfaction. For his future dramas I can't say how much romance will be in the dramas, but with more popular actresses to pair with, I hope those who badmouthing him will stop blaming him when dramas didn't turn out well. I'm so tired of hearing those who badmouthing his dramas when in fact those dramas are good and just not popular due to different taste in what make good dramas...And agree he wants to be in a police drama, and still there isn't any script offer for him yet, that's sad to want to be in a role and not getting any offer for it. I know bailu is already in a police drama and that drama was regards well in china. Hope xukai will get his wish to appear in a police drama.

I based this on his interview where he said he's not an idol but an actor, and he hope for fans will focus on his works only and to stay out of his personal life. I think idols has to maintain a clean image to keep their fans happy such as to be single and not having girlfriends...A while back there was a rumor of xukai and it caused quite a stir, well I hope his fans will support him if he does date and have a normal girlfriend and not making trouble for him. Also in term of idol dramas, there was a video his fans asked him if he will do idol dramas and he said no, so that leads me to think there's a reason why his dramas rarely focus on romances and romances are what make dramas have huge following, that makes me think he doesn't care about popularity but rather he cares about acting and being acknowledge as a good actor. That's why I like him in the first place lol, I just think xukai doesn't care about his image that's why he's takes on many unconventional roles, that's what I love about him ^^

I was so looking forward to this drama, I hope the new rumor is wrong, cdramas have too much censorship and so many rules, and it's taking so long to air :(

The current 40 eps limit made so many good promising dramas became unwatchable. It really limited creativity, I just felt most dramas now have rush ending due to having so much constraints.

If it's between him and his fans and they're joking I'm fine with that. I'm talking about in public when he was asked about his weight, I just find it embarrassing to be subject to such questions. I know in c-ent looks does count, but from my observation xukai doesn't care about being an idol, he even said he's an actor so I hope he will be judge on his acting than whether he gained some weights. From the many projects he picked and the actresses he paired with, I can see he's really working towards being a better actor rather than focused on popularity. Even in his words to his fans I can see he's trying hard to get away from his idol image, and he's encouraging them to be better and grows along side him. I find that message is very positive and I hope the fans listen ^^

So the government can do that, hold hostages an entire entertainment company and stop any shows from airing due to one comedian's word. How crazy to live in such a country where you have no freedom to express your view. I'm so tired of seeing this happening, all those dramas being held hostages and all artists are being silent. If they keep doing that there will come a time when their citizens will think they have enough and will start an uprising if this is true.

Supports to her means showing up, also it's between them and he knew she doesn't care about videogame but they're still together that's means he put their relationship above his profession. That scene made it very clear his feeling...As a fan no matter how much you want to support a player, you still not as important as his girlfriend lol 😆

No I don't think he's trying to look unhealthy, but he's sensitive about his weight. I just find it weird the way all the interviews he done, they kept bringing up his weight like it's a must he has to lose weight 😔 I hope the fans will accept him the way he's and wish him good health rather than judge him on his look.

I don't see them promoting any xukai's dramas. I wonder if other dramas with other actors are the same snow eagle lord and wonderland of love were shot before sword and fairy, but snow eagle lord only got a trailer recently, and I heard these three dramas will air this year...
