I'm glad to see qin shi didn't go back to her company and choose to work alone. Also it's good to see she finally affected change in her old workplace as she wanted when she was working there.

Their relationship started with a lie, so I think the ending when they get back together feel like a fresh start. Also I felt their relationship is more balance now that we see qin shi's vulnerability, before it has always been yang hua acting jealous because of her unambiguous feeling for tjh, so them being a part is a good chance for qin shi to work out her feeling. I think this is what yang hua wants to give qin shi the freedom to choose whether she truly wants to be with him not because of a fake marriage.

What makes you said that. I thought the ending was just a normal ending. I like that qin shi finally felt threaten by something as simple as jealousy. Before it has always been yang hua making the effort on their relationship, this time we get to see qin shi showing her true feeling for yang hua not hiding behind a fake marriage any longer. Also she finally gave tjh a definite answer rather than hiding behind a fake marriage as yang hua wanted. Their relationship becomes more balance in my opinion and we get to see qin shi vulnerability.

I think it has to do with death when you lose someone you care about once, and you have a chance to get that person back would you do it. We're not immortals so this can only happens in fantasy. Their child grown up without his parents and I felt sorry for him, however he has so many who love and care for him in place of his parents so I don't think of him as unfortunate.

Finished watching, I don't understand what the fuss about the ending. I think it was an acceptable ending, not as bad as some people claimed. Also I kind of understand why yang hua chose to get a divorce since their marriage was fake anyway. Getting a divorce doesn't mean their relationship ended I think both of them still wearing their rings after their divorce. He told her parents he didn't care whether they're married or not, and it was up to qin shi if she wants to get marry. He said to yao yao at the airport he already has a girlfriend when she asked for a hug lol. Yao yao was teasing qin shi by saying yang hua was going with her and her son, she was trying to make Qin shi jealous and she succeeded. It's still a mystery who's sonny father, it doesn't look like it's yang hua. Qin shi was acting jealous when she asked yang hua after their meeting again whom he chooses between her and yao yao, so she kind of admit her feeling to yang hua without actually saying it. I kind of understand what the drama was going for, absence make the heart fonder. Qin shi has always been using her fake marriage as an excuse when it comes to tjh and was taking advantage of yang hua by his good nature. With yang hua gone, she has the time to figure out whether she truly wants him in her life. Would've like to see them get marry again but for real this time ^^

Houchi and qingmu don't have the responsibility of the three realms on their shoulders so I kind of understand what it's like for both baijue and shanggu when they fall in love they couldn't choose each other. Shanggu at the end was very depressed, so she wouldn't be able to care for her child that's why she left him in more capable hands. It's through love that the both of them didn't give up on each other, they went through so much hardship to get their happy ending that's why I really love this drama and what it represents.

Yay for qin shi finally quitting her job. Was wondering when she will has enough with madam tang and just quit on her. Also glad to see qin shi and li dai working together to help yao yao. Qin shi also turn down tjh's marriage proposal and let him know she's not interested. She should've been that strong in her refusal before then yang hua wouldn't misunderstood that she still has feeling for tjh. Yang hua really understood qin shi and her fear of marriage, he's giving qin shi a chance to choose between him and tjh. Also liking how even though they're divorced, he's still helping her secretly in her work and at home, if i'm not mistaken it was yang hua that cooked for her and folded her clothes. Qin shi thought it was her mom that did it, but it must be yang hua after seeing she was eating fast food.

That second brother of qin shi is so childish, he's really lucky to find someone who can tolerate all his foolishness like mei mei. Wonder if she finally has enough or will she gives him another chance since she's pregnant with his child now.

I think you're trying to say you want bailu and xukai to play in this drama? Since bailu didn't have a costume drama with Xiao zhan before. This drama has finished filming a while ago with xukai and jing tian. I also heard a rumor of bailu and xukai being in a historical drama together a while back, it turned out to be just rumor.

For me the drama picked up about ep 10 or so when she went to the underworld for training.

I'm enjoying the episodes and can't understand why are some people having problem with this drama. Yang hua has good taste in picking women lol, yao yao and qin shi are strong women and both care about justice and doing the right thing. They're so much more than a pretty face. Why can't qin shi just quit her job, madam tang is just using her, making her accepts that case of tianhang hotel, and that boss guy is such a pig, he sexually assaulted his employee, there must be many employees who suffered under him. Wonder if yao yao truly married and got a child, or is she lying and that child is yang hua's, both of them have so much in common, both are vegetarian and they even look alike ^^

No they're not the same person. But they'll be living in shanggu and baijue and their love will lives on since shanggu and baijue have their memories and didn't forget their experiences as hou chi and qing mu. This is the best ending that we can get since in a way both of them can't live outside of shanggu and baijue since they were just the bodies of the true gods that develop their own consciousness like a split personality.

Ok so they just going to ignore that employee being assaulted, that would've been a crime anywhere else. I don't like how tjh manhandled qin shi when she clearly said she was hurting, he did the same before qin shi did the right thing by leaving him. So yang hua listen in on qin shi and tjh conversation, he took their marriage as real but hearing an outsider called it a ruse must've hurt, he must think qin shi told tjh and that means qin shi still has feeling for tjh, but she's using their marriage to avoid tjh. Why didn't qin shi just assure him of her feeling, now he's asking her for a divorce. Can't understand how qin shi just agree to the divorce and not trying to answer his question about her feeling. I think Qin shi is too comfortable in their relationship, that she forgot yang hua also has feeling and could get hurt by her silence. Yang hua has been so understanding and supportive but no matter how good his personality is, there will come time when he's dissatisfied with their relationship and want more. Tjh conversation with qin shi made him realize it. I feel so bad for him he even got a loan to buy a house for qin shi and him :(

It's slow in the beginning, but does pick up as you keep watching. The first 16 eps are the prologue, so the main story really starts at ep 17. I think you should give it another try because I think it's a really good drama but that's up to you.

Yeah I thought her sudden turned of character was so quick. Just felt the writer really don't like her because out of all female characters in this show, she was the first likable one and then all of a sudden she became a shrew over a guy who didn't even truly loves her. Waste of a good character in my opinion, is it always the case in most cdramas there always a badly written female support character or am I just thinking too hard.
