Is it a historical drama. Before I heard about Cheng huan ji, there was a rumor of him and yang Zi in a historical drama. I actually thought it could be real there's a likelihood of them starting in a historical drama.

Yeah I like his character design in that one. He was so mature and is a good boyfriend material, also the fl was the one who chased after him instead of him being the one to chase after the fl or getting hurt in the process. I was so bore with that same motive that been repeating in some of those dramas I watched so that was a welcome change. Yes I hope his new roles will bring him more recognition and will do well in china ^^

I don't doubt working with yang zi will help her male leads rise to fame. I'm just saying for my taste I like snow eagle lord better because I like action over romance. Xukai chose snow eagle lord just means he has the same taste as I do. I'm not saying the role is useless, it just sounds like a character he has played before so I would rather he find a more challenging role that he hasn't done before. Yes let end it here I wasn't putting down lyf or putting down yang Zi since I know she's a good actress and I wouldn't mind for them to be pair together in a future drama. Snow eagle lord looks like an action drama while lyf looks like a romantic drama. It's not hard to predict which one will be more popular, romance sell much more than other genre. I'm not putting it down it's just how I categorizes romance as idol drama and that one has 3 mls fighting over fl. Since he didn't take it we won't know how novel fans will like him or not so let ends this discussion.

Regardless of the reason whether it was lack of screen time or not a challenging role for him. I think he made the right choice in picking snow eagle lord. The other drama would be considered an idol dramas and xukai said he doesn't want to do idol drama so that could be another factor.

Regardless of the reason I'm glad he didn't take that one. As first male lead he still has to share screen times with sml, but with three male leads for that drama how much screen times does he get. It's basically a romantic drama with the fl as the focus. I don't mind him playing the devoted ml, but he already played those characters already, that's why I like to see him play more challenging roles. Are you saying yu Zheng bought copy right for his new drama with yang Zi, and that's why he wants xukai to pair with her?

All I know is there're three mls in that drama and they will come to fall in love with fl one time or another. Whoever don't get fl will get hurt in the process. I just heard the description of one of the ml and it was suggested to me xukai will played that character and in my opinion that character is kind of boring and not a challenge for him at all.

You're referring to that eSport drama with lixian. At the time I thought that was high praise from Yu Zheng. I think the ml in that drama is kind of cold and aloof as a result the fl brings the chemistry that's what he meant. Not exactly throwing shade at lixian particularly. He encouraged xukai to work with yang Zi showing lots of interest in yang Zi. I'm not familiar with how things are done in china, if Yu zheng is putting down xukai by such a statement as praising yang Zi for her acting and thinking xukai should cooperate with her as an insult then I have nothing to say. Yu Zheng statements are controversial since he seems to get lots of attention everytime he injected his opinion, sometimes hurting his own artists in the process ex bailu and xukai.

Her acting made up for any shortcomings in look. I think she's cute and also fits the description of the heroine in this drama ^^

In term of recognition by international fans, but falling into your smile gotten so much back lash by those eSport fans so it didn't do well in china. I love all three roles he played last year, I think he did well playing those three roles however those dramas didn't do well due to bad script or character inconsistent as well as editing problems. I hope the three dramas that come out in the future will have better outcome. Many times he gets criticism when his dramas didn't do well when in my opinion dramas do well or not is a team effort and he shouldn't be single out since sometimes he get less screen times than support characters, but he will get all these criticism. Good luck for xukai in his future dramas ^^

Yeah I thought the first half was better than second half when everyone started dying. The most laziest writing in my opinion as well as the editing was a mess. This would've been a much better drama if it has ended as their wedding scene.

Finger cross all three dramas will be release as plan and will give him some recognition. I was kind of bump he didn't get recognition for ancient love poetry I thought he was so good in that drama with zhou dong yu. They were such a good match, it's too bad those people badmouthing it are missing out on such a good show.

Yang Zi is a traffic star so being pair with her is not a bad thing however xukai doesn't care about that sort of thing. I didn't like loss you forever either when it was announced since it was a love square and I think his choice to choose snow eagle lord is the right choice since like you said it's has fighting scenes as well as he can has more range for acting compare to the character he was going to play in loss you forever, someone was describing to me that character was boring and he's really devoted to the fl, it sounds so much like a character he has played before so no challenge at all. I think as snow eagle lord is a new character, it gives him more challenge to play a character that hasn't been play before.

From my understanding yu Zheng wants xukai to work with yang Zi, he even said so in the past. I think the fans concern make sense if this is another fl centric drama, the fl growth is the main part of the show, then the ml will be a side character. Xukai has worked with yangmi last year and the result is not as good as expected, that drama was also fl growth as it's another fl centric drama. In term of xukai dramas I saw a trend where he is the male lead, but his scenes are very little compare to even support characters. His fans concern are valid, and it has nothing to do with billing because I do agree yang yi being the older and more experience actress should be the first billing. They're just concerned for his career since they think he deserves more. I heard the script will be change though to accommodate the ml and gives him more screen times. Let see if this is just another rumor.
