I'm not there yet. To answer your question who is the most powerful, as the ep i'm watching i would say mzy he was able to free himself while the demons were trapped and save wz when she was attacked by his sect leader.

We're in the period of angst now that we're over the honeymoon. Wz giving mzy a divorce paper i didn't expect that she would be so cold to want to end their marriage. The changxi palace and the demon underworld are not enemies anymore so what is keeping them apart is now personal conflict. Now that the killer of mzy's parents is known to be inside wz's body she's afraid to love mzy because she doesn't trust his love for her, her reason is once he stop loving her he will turn against her and wamt to kill her to avenge his parents. Poor mzy he is really in love with wz, he even apologizes for not measuring up to her expectation that night when he fail to follow her wishes.

I like how lady liu kept the book demon away from wz to protect her rep because she is still married and has a husband, he was being too familiar with her even knowing the fact. That body swapping between meisi and lady liu is unexpected, great acting by the both of them, their personality change is so convincing.

His bad boy phase has already pass. I remember hearing he smoke to lose weight when he was a model before becoming an actor. He has quit smoking and drinking and maybe only do it when in social gathering. Now he has other ways to lose weight like playing different sports and weightlifting or bike riding. After that ex accused him of domestic abuse when he was just starting his career as an actor, he denied the domestic abuse allegation and made an apology and said he was a bad boy and wanting to be a better person i kind of figure he meant quitting drinking and smoking. Most guys done it as a phase when they were in their early 20s i think, the same with xukai, he has reach 30 and has already pass that phase, many of his interviews his answers gave the impression he is very mature and someone who is driven and very focus on his career.

I'm sad about mzy and wz relationship but i'm kind of happy everything is out in the open. Hopefully they will fix their relationship soon. Mzy is surprised the infant core is in wz's body, but he still worry about her when he saw she was hurt by his sect leader and defended her when she was attacked. That spell the sect leader used was so powerful it trapped them all beside wz, her quick reaction save her from the trap. That changxi weapon mzy's master gave him is so powerful, it was able to break the spell and free them all. Happy to see the celestial masters are now more accepting of demons and not wanting to hunt them like before. Too bad about mzy and wz relationship, that book demon is still a nuisance, he aided cm by releasing his lock playing both sides.

They finally revealing their identities to each other but the cost is their love. So the infant core was inside wz's body all along, according to snake lord it was the doing of cat lord but what was his purpose, is it because he coudn't destroy it so he suppressing it with his power so when he transfer his power to wz he also transfer the core to her body? It's kind of unfair for wz to make mzy to choose, he has been trying for 18 years to investigate his parents death so even if he loves her he still choose to open the demon underworld plus his sect brothers went missing so he has to find their whereabout. In a flash back his master said mzy has unfinish business in the human world he propably meant wanting to get revenge for his parents, in chinese culture it's a natural way of life to get revenge for your parents i think i seen a lot of this in wuxia, and many historical dramas, that why he could not keep him at changxi palace even if he want to hand him the leadership position.

So the reason that leader turn to dark magic was because he was jealous of mzy. He heard his master praise mzy so he turn to dark magic in order to compete with him since he does not have innate talent like mzy. But how did he died, why did he said it was because of his master, is it because of the side effect of using dark magic so the spells turn on him and killed him? That was kind of funny that the changxi weapon the leader stole didn't listen to him and come back to mzy hand at his command.

I disagree with you about sj, he is one of the few who has a close ties to mzy that is outside of his family ties and i'm just happy to see he has mzy back when all the other in changxi palace was condemning him for leaving. I like the third cp, i consider the 2nd and 3rd cps to be just extra and mostly meant for comedy.

I found another actor who has been in many drama with xukai the actor who is the dream demon he was also in story of yangxi palace, arsenal military academy and court lady ^^

You're among the fews who like him, most people on here hate his guts for interfering in the mains relationship. To me his love is superficial, he doesn't care about those close to wz and only want to own her rather than accepting her choice and move on with his life. She's already married dude move on, why didn't he confess to her in the 18 years they knew each other, for her not to even notice his feeling it just show he has been friend-zone all along, even if mzy hasn't enter wz's life there would've never been a relationship between them in my opinion.

No he didn't lose his power. There was an ep he was poison and he couldn't use spells in that ep but he was still able to fight using his martial art and his sword and it didn't last.

Xukai character mzy was hiding his identity and power in order to investigate the demon underworld a mission he was undertaking as a member of changxi palace. He also doesn't care about advancing his career as we heard he deliberately fail some of his answers in a test to rank the officials to determine where they will work in government so he could work in the bureau of investigation a place that was mocked by many as being the lowest in rank in government to investigate his parents's death. He also the type to keep a low profile and not have any desires as taught in his cultivation to reject all worldly desires. Xukai portrayal of mzy is very skillful showing his dual natures being a master in dealing with demons while showing his ackwardness and shyness regarding wz's flirting and teasing ^^

There was an ep we did see the humans mistakenly entering the demon market, but the demons do try to keep humans from entering the demons market by erecting a barrier that's why mzy couldn't find it for a long time and only able to enter it once when rat demon broke the demon rule and shattered that barrier to fight against wz. Even all the celestial masters of changxi palace work together and couldn't find it because wz and the demons are working hard to protect the barrier from being discover because they're afraid to be discover by humans and will be hunted down by them. If not for book demon manipulating the situation in secret with the dream demon mzy and the changxi palace would not be able to find the demon underworld opening as easily.

Yes it's worth watching. I watch to ep 28 and is still very enjoyable. Now starting ep 29 ^^

The reveal is finally here. In ep 28 both mzy and wz already suspect each other. I hope their love survive this reveal. Both of them has a valid reason to keep secret their identities wz because she is afraid mzy will not accept her as a demon and mzy because he made a pledge to keep his identity as celestial master of changxi palace a secret to their leader. What will happens next once their identities are reveal? Love the exchange between sj and hz when they're trying to hide wz and mzy secret how nice to have such loyal friends ^^
