Mzy is describe as cold on the outside and warm on the inside, he also has a bit of a sharp tongue when speaking to his superior mocking them without appearing to causing them not able to say anything back. Xukai was able to show this character's contradiction when he's just an ordinary human during the day to his activities at night being a demon hunter. He was able to show mzy's gradual change after falling in love, from being detach to feeling anxious and becoming possessive toward wz. When he said to wz that she was the one who made him falling in love with the world i thought that was really romantic, never thought mzy could be so poetic. I think the reason xukai was given this role is because he was successful in playing such roles in the past. The team behind this drama made the right choice in picking him for this role ^^

I also really like the costumes for wonderland of love didn't realize there were that many outfits. Let see if this drama will exceed wol on the number of outfits. Xukai always look good in historical costumes ^^

I would like the original author to be screenwriter because they most likely will not rewrite the whole scripts and change important details, i hope drama will stay close to novel.

I love costume dramas so i don't want him to step away from costume dramas, hope to see him in a wuxia it would be right up his alley ^^

I have the same feeling like you, even if xukai was given less screentimes, he made the most of it. Many of his dramas were fl centric but he made it work and his characters still shine for ex in court lady or moonlit reunion. I love how good he's when it comes to doing fight scenes and stunts in dramas that has action scenes and i love his nuance acting when it come to quiet characters like fuca fuheng, bailjue, yang hua or his recent drama mzy in moonlit reunion ^^

I'm not familiar with that character or the show is it a tv series?

Wow 15 outfits in 18 days, i thought his last drama with zhou ye he has lots of outfits, but this drama beat that one for having the most outfits in a drama ^^

As a fan you don't have to like every drama an actor you like is in. Xukai in his early day didn't really have much of a choice about what drama he's given he has to go by his agency and accept what was offer to him. He's starting to go independent and can pick what scripts he like, in his interview as far back as 2019 he has express he want to play a police, detective, spy or even a negative character so i'm glad to see he finally get to pick the roles he want to play. An actor will shoot many dramas in a year so as a fan we get to pick and choose what we like to watch, this is the same for many actors.

That was the time he was accused by his ex and he only has one drama aired in 2020, i was waiting for court lady which was shot in 2019 but didn't air until 2021 probably due to the scandal and hurt his reputation as a result. What happened then is so eerily similar to what happened this year after moonlit reunion aired because he was slandered by someone who claimed she was his ex, are his dramas being frozen due to these accusations? I kept thinking if someone who has capital has started this smearing campaign to keep xukai from breaking out because he was threatening their favorites because 2019 was the year he has 3 dramas that were all well like by audiences and then he gotten offer such a small drama like dance of the sky empire which was really low budget and his screentimes was reduced to give to the sml 😕

Glad to hear there other actors can do their own stunts and action scenes. My most favorite genre is wuxia so i love to see dramas with action scenes done by the actors themselves and look effortless doing it ^^

He play three characters in this drama, you will probably like qingmu better than baijue as he's less serious and more lively compare to baijue who is focus only on duty and responsibility, qingmu also is not afraid to love.

He married someone else but in name only because he is going to die and didn't want her to mourn him. It's kind of a complicated love story because they both lost their memory and he didn't plan to fall in love with her the second time but it's a happy ending and they do end up together.
