Fl does have her moments of being badass and moments showing weaknesses, this is a gender bender drama where a girl has to pretend to be her dead brother and join the military in her brother place. Just because it has a badass female lead tag does not mean what you think it mean that she has to be badass from the first ep. If you watch the drama to the end your opinion might change about her character.

Court lady actually follow novel really well, it was an ensemble casts but i agree prince zhou got too much screentimes when his role was really small in the novel. You forgot dance of the sky empire, in that drama they glorify the sml and gave too much screentimes to sml and fl, that was the first drama i thought his hairstyle was so bad while the sml has the best hairstyle among the men, but xukai is still cute ^^

I agree some of the supports has too much screentimes that could've been given to mains. Moonlit reunion still a good drama to watch for xukai and txw characters, i love how some of the kisses are so hot and spicy between mzy and wz ^^

I don't think so ml didn't choose to go against the fl. His one mission was to look for the demon underworld to investigate his parents death. It just happens to be a coincidence that fl was guarding the demon underworld and didn't want any outsiders coming in. In ep 30 it was the fl who didn't want to accept ml after finding out the infant core was inside her and was responsible for his parents death. Ml was the first who apologizes and ask for her forgiveness. I thought the amnesia arc made them become closer when fl lost her memory and forgotten her duty as cat lord and acting like a devoted wife to her husband. After she regained her memory she remember everything and was reminiscing her time with him so she already forgiven him and was waiting for him to come back while he went back in time. We got a reunion of sort when he rescued her from her prison after everyone was jailed by the rat demon. The interactions between ml and fl while fl has amnesia was a very important part of their relationship because it was during that time they were able to reconnect so i think the production did a good job by using that trope to help ml and fl get back together.

Why don't they follow novel? Most cdramas that are adapted from source materials were never faithful and i been wondering why the production team don't want to follow source material for this one if it's a big male lead drama. Why is xukai so unlucky to keep being given roles that will reduce his screentimes and his agent is not looking out for him. Does he has to leave his agency and become an independent actor to get better treatment 😕

That why not many liking this character. Dude is still obsess over someone who already married has no feeling toward him beside friendship for the 18 years they knew each other. Ml put him in his place 😒

Fl was pretending to have feeling for ml in the first few eps to do her duty as cat lord. She only started to have real feeling for him after they traveled together to that mountain and had their first kiss. She was shamelessly flirting with him because she knew he is different from other men and doesn't react to her flirting but we could argue she has a crush on him at first sight i suppose ^^

Ml is first billing, some people on here are complaining his screentimes being less because of support roles not because of fl. This drama is about demons and demons hunting. The fl character was a half demon her character is more flamboyant compare to ml who is very mysterious and his identity was kept a secret because he is a low key person and is on a mission by his sect so he has to hide his power and identity. Not saying he doesn't stand out because he does whenever he goes demon hunting or working. His character is the one behind the scene and is really cool the few time when he let slip that side of him he hides from the outside world.

I'm still not understanding how is taking this project will force xukai to stay in yuzheng agency if he wants to leave. And i get it the fan is not happy of the name change from the novel to the drama, so the drama will not follow novel is what i'm understanding like the many adapted from novel to drama. Does that mean the production has intended the drama to be double mls or is this just more fans speculation because of the title change. I don't care about billing as much as whether it has a good script and a good production. I'll wait for the confirmation as of now we still don't hear any news of this project being his next beside the rumor. I'll trust in xukai to pick his next project.

Sad for xukai if it's true all these rumors were caused by yuzheng to keep xukai from leaving his agency.

Yeah they had a nice friendship i think the black snake demon was lonely and meisi was the only friend he made since he was bully by other demons and didn't get along with them. I got that part rat demon gotten back his power from book demon. I was just surprised he was so strong that he defeated two powerful snake demons, but it could be explain away that they were both poisoned by the sulfer as a result their power gotten weaker that why rat demon could defeat them.

Don't know his name he played many support roles in xukai dramas. I didn't see his name in the cast list but i wonder if they're from the same agency.

This drama romance is slow moving because of ml's secret identity. Once they both acknowledges they feeling for each other they gotten marry very quickly.

The romance start slow because the ml is resisting his feeling for fl. Once they start acknowledging their feeling then their marriage was very fast.

Glad to hear this. Now i'm waiting for his other dramas to air and what drama he's going to shoot next ^^
