This is a drama I'm also looking forward to seeing, it just really mysterious and I can't wait to watch it ^^

I felt she was restricted from doing what she wants to do because of the prince position. He pretty much use his position to force her to follow his commands or threatened her with sexual harassment if she didn't comply. And in this time period having a title of a prince gave him so much power over her, even taking her as his concubine if he wanted to. There was a scene where 4 men ask for her hand in marriage, but in the end only the 2 princes were consider due to their higher rank, it was only due to ml and fl quick wit that she was able to escape from that situation.

It's not like she didn't made known her feeling, he knew she is in love with someone else but he still made a nuisance of himself.

This was adapted from a novel, and the focus of this drama was on the fl working in the palace, the rules of the palace is so strict that it impossible for her to marry unless the king/queen let her go and that's what happens at the end. As a result she realizes she can only advance and do her best. I didn't feel it was draggy because I like it when they're not together, she's really talented in matter of the court while he's such a good general, their romance wasn't the focus so it didn't matter too much for me. I like it when he decides to pursue his career instead of being single mindedly about marrying her. He became more capable and I think that's a good thing they broke up for a while.

Yeah I get that. I'm also saying the actors did a good job acting out the role as gamers even if they're not actually playing the games. They still look like they're playing the game for real, for those who are not
experts in gaming ^^

I wouldn't go so far to say it didn't live up to satisfaction, just the happy ending is too short. I would like for a family reunion between shanggu, baijue and their son, not the short happy ending we got. Hope for a season 2 with the main casts ^^

I don't think they were laughing at the game in particular, but I did see some comments complaining about the way the actors were playing like amateurs, and not how real players played.

Hope the cut won't be like court lady, where some major plot point was cut because of censorship :-( Thanks for the info, that's mean we can expect it to air anytime now, just have to wait for the trailer then we will get the air date ^^

The relationship between qingmu and houchi is so sweet, their wedding night was so romantic on a boat with the firefly with just themselves to enjoy their time together. Their relationship is so different from baijue and shanggu since they don't have responsibility of being true gods, not saying they don't care about the three realms but they both consider their relationship is the most important, and willing to do anything to be together even though they might be replace any moment by the true gods and they didn't care. Just too bad about houchi, she never got to tell qingmu about their child, or even suspect qingmu wouldn't be there for her after her exile. Would she has make the same decision if she knew.

Both boxuan and qingmu are important people to her, qingmu kept it a secret and didn't let her know once boxuan awaken he will disappear because he knew how important boxuan is to her. Both of them did what they thought was the right thing to do qingmu by keeping secret from houchi, and houchi abandoned her god status and exile herself to protect qingmu from being punished all in the name of love. But in the end they couldn't escape their fates...

In ep 37 that was a really good kiss scene in the whole drama and it's on their wedding night lol ^^

This is a drama that doesn't focus on the lead relationship but their careers. It's similar to yanxi palace because the fl is strong and smart and has a high moral value. I have to say I was glad for the main leads break up for me I felt the ml needs a lot of growth, it's only from being away from the fl that gave him the chance for growth. His character has always been spoiled by his mother, so he is childish and arrogant, and so he would get mad when things don't go his way. In fact I actually felt if the fl was a male would people be as irritated with her choice to focus on her career, or how she's so focus on doing the right things. In any case she reminds me of yingluo the fl from yanxi palace, whom the second empress used to say if she was a male she would excel in politics. For the main leads relationship, it felt similar to the relationship between yingluo and fuheng. They love each other, but due to certain complications, they couldn't be together. The difference here is the fl in court lady never gave up on their relationship, even though she has other suitors, she stay loyal to her man. The ml is the opposite of fuca fuheng hence his character is much more insecure, he has never had to try so hard to win a girl, and as a result when problem arises, he gave up when he thought she left him for a prince whom he couldn't compete with. But that's what great about this drama is the ml is very talented, it's just he never want to use that talents or he never realizes his own talents until he met the fl. Once he gave up on romance, his character became so much stronger, and that's the growth he needed to match the fl. I actually love this drama over yanxi palace, it takes time to warm up to it, but once you do it's just as good as yanxi palace with all the politics and the different side characters. If you watch this drama for only ml, it does take patience since it felt sometimes like he was a support character. However he will get some really cool moments and in my opinion he became the kind of dependable guy the fl was looking for in her man, I love his character just as much as fuca fuheng.

That might be true about the gaming, but the actors still has to copy the motion of playing the games, otherwise if they show actual gamers playing the game there wouldn't be that many complains about them being amateur when they're supposed to be pros.

I was being optimistic, but you're probably right. Until the trailer is out we'll just have to wait and see.

Same here, wuxia and historical also my favorite. I don't watch many xanxia, but have to say this drama has become my favorite xanxia drama ^^

I see what you mean if you don't care about the side characters, then you might not like this drama since it has many side characters with their own story line. The main leads sometimes feel like support roles especially male lead, but I'm use to this type of story telling that has the focus on a multitude of characters. The novel was written this way, so that how the drama follows and in my opinion it's very similar to other dramas I seen like arsenal military academy and also yanxi palace...

Agree with you about the sets and costumes, they feel authentic to the time period ^^
