I finished ep 12 and feels so emotional for sheng chu mo family when they thought he died in battle, his father was left devastated by his death. I hope he recover from the shock of his son death. Sheng chu mo is really talented, he was able to lead his men to take over a city, very different from his character at the beginning. Wu jiayi playing a princess in here is much more suited to this type of role compare to her character in dance of the sky empire. She also looks better here to. She and sheng chu mo brother are very cute couple ^^

Nowaday lots of dramas are adapted from novels, but the drama usually takes it own route instead of follows the novel, sometimes it works most of the times not so much.

Xukai drama court lady is airing now, and i heard it's called the sister to story of yanxi palace. I can see some similarities, but the palace intriques are very different to yanxi palace. Xukai character is different to fuca fuheng, but i'm enjoying his character very much. As a plus, there're actual battle scenes compare to yanxi palace i'm glad they're showing the battle scenes. Beside xukai, there are many familiar faces who also played in yanxi palace are in court lady, i count 5 maybe more.

The guy deserved it, if he is going to have bad intention then i admired for getting her revenge in that way. Not only it will stop her mother from arranged her marriage in the future, she was able to save her brother's life. A very resourceful girl, i love her character from first episode ^^

I don't think she needs to lie about her race. He was sympathetic toward the kongwu race from the start, remember he was task to guard the gate and he discovered those children in the cart and let them go. It was only when later when his father was killed, that he started to hold a drudge against the kongwu clan thinking they're all bad due to yulian betrayed his trust.

I think it's the same title. I didn't read the novel, but the synopsis for this drama probably taken from it, the drama is different from my expectation due to it being cut down to fit the 28 eps.

This drama was filmed before dance of the sky empire, but got release later. True she's very young looking.

He is main lead here, so i don't think they will treat him the same way as they treat him in yanxi palace, otherwise i will boycott lol ^^He was my second lead syndrome in yanxi palace, and i never gotten over him; i think that why i don't get second lead syndrome in other dramas because his character left such a huge impression on me that no other sml was able to replace ^^

I like the fl acting in this drama, so i suggest you watch a few eps for yourself to see if it's something you like. I heard some people said it getting interesting for them at ep 7, for me it started getting interesting in ep 5.

I agree. She loved him, but doesn't trust him. He even gave up his chance to leave that island they were trap in for her, gave up his healing power for her, he might even help her with the kongwu clan if she has ask for help. She never gave him the chance to prove he could be trusted, while she gave her trust completely to prince mu a total stranger she knew for only a short time. It buggles the mind, i could imagine the two of them working together to solve the situation for kongwu clan since he's one of them instead because of her decision, his father die protecting him and turn them into enemies. This show should've been much longer to showcase this complex relationship they were in.

Like what she said, he used his power to bully her family to get that embroidered cloth. Her brother-in-law was threaten with his life if he couldn't hand over the cloth. He totally was in the dark even though it was him that demanded the cloth from her brother-in-law's boss. She has to embroiled the cloth days and nights to the point of becoming sick, and it turn out it was her boyfriend that made her suffer, so she is justify in her anger.

I think after ep 5 i started to believe in their relationship. Before that, it was way too fast since he fell for her beauty rather than her as a person, but after he got rejected by her, he started to see her in a new light and realize she is different from other girls. I really like that she asked him what he likes about her, and he said because of her seriousness lol ^^ She was probably the first girl to turn him down or slap him lol, he was so spoil by his mom and sis. I really like this couple, they're so cute, she's so serious while he is such a play boy ^^

It starting to get more serious once she enters the palace. Got to love the sheng brothers, they're just so entertaining when together. I'm liking that they're focus on furou profession, and the intricacy of embroidering, i missed that in story of yanxi palace since it was focus on the king's harem. This was called the sister to yanxi palace and i can see why, there are some similarity such as the fl both are good in embroidering, and xukai character is going to become a general like his character in yanxi palace although his character is complete opposite of fuca fuheng, just goes to show his versatility. Hopefully this will get a happy ending unlike in yanxi palace since he also fell in love with someone beneath his station, and she was also working in the palace...

I have to wonder if the training was cut short since it used to be 69 eps that got cut down to 55 eps. Also he is what you call a fast learner due to his father training as a child no doubt, it's not because he's not talented but because he was spoiled by his mother, that he turn into a waster.

I have to disagree since i do see the chemistry in court lady, i'm up to 8 eps and loving it so far. I don't know about her other dramas, but i'm totally enjoying xukai and li yitong chemistry, and hoping for more ^^

In my opinion, prince mu and fl don't match. Or i'm just liking lixuan outgoing personality more, he made so many sacrifices for her even losing his healing power. Also i don't like how they made fl became so dependent on prince mu instead of doing things herself, she schemed with prince mu to trick lixuan, i really would've like it better if she did it on her own, turning her into a damsel in distress, when she was suppose to be a savior to her people. I don't like how they turn the fl into a plot device to make prince mu into a suffering hero, totally ruin her image as a capable fl as well as making her look bad. Yulian is so pathetic as a character, being control by her master, not free to love and having to marry someone she doesn't love just so she could get a stone in order to save her people, hurting the person she loves in the process, while using the sml.

Only seen to ep 6, and i'm seeing lots of familiar faces, many of them also acted in arsenal military academy, yanxi palace etc. I'm really liking the look of of the ladies in their costumes, feel very authentic to the period, The marking on their forehead very striking, do they wear it for special occasion?

What is your criteria for pretties. I think li yi tong is very pretty, but what matter to me is she can act compare to those who are pretty but can't act. She and xukai are very cute as a couple, can't wait for their relationship to develop.
