What is the deal with that incense contest, it took two eps to finish, but we're rewarded with seeing mzy in action rescuing wz and now he exposed himself as someone who is much more powerful than he let on. That childhood friend of her is starting to be suspicious of him. Who was the guy in black who rescued him, what kind of power does he has? What is this dark cultivation? And what happens with one of the guy eye, it does not look normal.

The black snake and meisi gotten along so well that he can be mistaken as the snake owner, and it's funny how he call him grandpa propably due to him being 1,000 years old ^^

How interesting to see the duke wz's father is so nonchalant about seeing two men living under his roof, does he not worry about her reputation. Her family are very unconventional for that time period, but i suppose being the sister of the empress and the sister in law of the emperor who would dare to challenge her that is why she's not afraid for her reputation like most girls since she's still single and refuse to get marry even though she is being introduced to so many men. How many childhood friends does wz have, i thought she only has one and now there're two and in both cases it was because she saved them from being bully as kids. So it's not just mzy wz saved, she just naturally hate bullies and appoint herself as a protector of the weaks, just like when she saved that girl in the fire who badmouthed her to mzy. This is why i love wz's personality, she doesn't care about gossip or propriety and just does what she likes, she remind me of xukai's character in arsenal military academy but a female version, she is similar to qu manting the sfl in that drama ^^

So all those stories that belong to wz that mzy read came from the new guy, that exchange between wz and him made it clear who she prefer, the new guy was telling her that women ultimate goal was to get married and become a wife and mother, but wz refuted him and said she didn't like those stories anymore. Why did she stop liking those stories, isn't it because mzy question her about those stories and is the one who understood her personality even more than the childhood friend?

This drama has been outstanding, so i refuse to believe the ending makes it a waste of time. Is the ending even worse than the ending for the legend, lost in kunlun mountain? Those dramas endings were really bad but it still worth the time i invest in it because of xukai acting.

You haven't explain anything with reason, but love can make someone to turn into a fool but it also makes that person becomes fully human with strengths and weaknesses. There was a scene with ml and fl when he asked her why in all the stories he read there's always a happy ending and it always end with the girl getting married and accepting her lot in life. What about after, is that all of her life? In that question he's putting himself in her shoe because in the old day getting married and become a wife is all it's expected for women. Kind of funny that men expect women to be the only one to be weak and emotional when falling in love but can't do the same when it's the other way around 😅

Ok if you said so because i don't get this fascination with wanting cgi to be realistic but refuse to accept that it's all fake in the first place since it all come from fantasy and in director and writer imagination and whether viewers accept or not this is their vision of what they want it to look like. Whatever the case drama can't please everyone but for me i love it ^^

But you would eat it up if the girl is the dumb one and lack reason if she falls in love with the guy. More gender bias lmao 😅

The cgi is one of the better quality compare to many other dramas i would say. Being in your face is not a bad thing my opinion it's the effect they're going for this is not a drama about regular people but also demons who masquerate as humans and they don't look fake but very close to real that you don't feel it's fake at all.

How is this a badly written script can you explain. Xukai is exceptional in this drama not sure what other dramas you're refering to but in this drama he excel in his role as a daoist monk who gradually falling in love when he was forbidden to and a woman who could make him break his vow would not be an ordinary woman, and she isn't she is so much cooler than some of his other fls she stay strong the whole drama, nothing say it's a bad script when an fl who was suppose to be strong is not i'm glad it's not the case here from the eps i seen so far, the fl and ml deliver their roles flawlessly so far ^^

And what is wrong with that i bet you like those toxic mls that were written back in the day by writers when all they do is hurting their fls but still end up getting an he. When you attack an actor just because of a role then i know you're really a hater, this is not the only drama having ml who end up falling in love with fl what are you expecting it's a romance for goodness sake. Also where have you been in the early eps in this discussion page when he behaved coldly towards her and she was the one pursuing him 😂 To think there is someone who can't handle a green flag ml this story is written by a woman for women, so if you can't handle it you can exit anytime. There're characters in this drama that act as a simp the whole drama but you only complain about xukai? speak of priority lol i know a xukai hater when i see one when all they do is attack his dramas and making ridiculous statement i doubt you even watch this show and is only here to make complain about xukai whatever he does will not please you. Other actors also play those type of mls and doesn't get hate only xukai attract such haters maybe find a better job than being a hater 🙄

She's playing a cat demon, i always thought it was intentional to make her eyes look as catlike as possible, i actually really enjoy when the camera focus on her eyes they really feel like cat eyes. I don't agree with you, i saw a preview in the later eps and she show so much emotion in her eyes when he propose to her so maybe it just you because if i'm watching only the early eps and already feel their chemistry then how much more intense it will be when they're being passionate to each other?

Does anyone notice mzy is making his sect brother do all the miscelaneous task for him but he doesn't mind it? Is it because he is staying at his place for free so he is returning the favor from buying him a horse to carrying his pack? Or it has to do with him being a junior in their sect so he has to obey his senior instruction. Also it's kind of funny how he was carrying out his order without knowing what mzy intended to do but it was all for mzy and wz to go sight seeing together. The sect brother and wz's assistant get along so well and the only time they fight is when he bad mouthed wz and call her a vixen thinking she will seduce mzy 🤣

We're introduce to a new character, this guy seem trouble. So he has someone in chang'an spy on wz and report to him and found out she has feeling for mzy and decides to poison him or what? The robbery was also planned by him to test mzy, good thing mzy didn't eat or drink or he would've been poison. This guy seem to be really obsessive over wz even more than the childhood friend the way he talks about her, mzy should be careful otherwise someone else will steal her from him. This guy could be the catalyst to force mzy to fight for wz ^^

I don't know about you but when wz is with mzy she always show ❤️ eyes to me. She is playing a facade of being carefree to hide her dual identity, but she's very calculating to outsiders and mzy is the one who has gotten the closest to the real her. Not sure what you mean since i'm loving their chemistry and i do feel her emotion when she is with mzy.

In ep 13 we got a confrontation between mzy and wz when the both of them were hiding their identities. That fight scenes between them were really cool, i'm wondering who would win in a fight between the two of them? Wz assistant is becoming jealous of mzy beause of how good wz treated mzy, she actually said to him she trusted mzy as much as she trusted him even though she only just met mzy while she knew him for decade, that must've sting and the candies he gave her she gave to mzy. Feel sorry for the dude, that is what is meant to being friend zone 😅 Also does anyone know what is going on with that shadow around that assistant, why is the assistant called it elder hui didn't elder hui got punished by wz after he lost the battle against her. Isn't it that bone relic fragment that went into the assistant, why does it calling him lord of destruction? When he was introduced he seem like a nice guy but ever since that bone relic went into him he is become more vicious, he want to protect the demon world at the expense if hundred of human lives. I'm happy wz dress him down and didn't let him follow through on his words.

The back story of snake lord is so sad, she has such a tragic past no wonder she's so cold towards meisi even though he is harmless she can't trust him after already been betrayed before by a lover. Her words ring true it's not just demons who are cruel to humans, humans can also be cruel to demons. What will happens to mzy and wz relationship knowing their double identities are opposite each other, i hope mzy will not turn on wz like that lover of snake lord turned against her after he found out she was a demon. The unmasking of their indentities i hope will not be too angsty, i love sad story unlike most but i hope the writer will not mess it up and ruin it by bad writing.

The fight scene in ep 12 was so cool when wz transform into a big cat to fight that elder. The vfx of them in their animal forms fighting each other was really something, it's so satisfying seeing wz won the fight. I'm falling for this cp the way she was so exhausted after the fight, but she still want to keep her promise to come back to see him and him waiting for her and being laughed at by the maids. The second cp is kind of like comedic relief, i find myself laughing at meisi antic and his affection and puppy love for snake lord.

That black snake at first i thought he would be evil, but his action after fighting with cat lord makes me think he's just a trouble maker and he just want his freedom that why he made the deal with that elder, after he was found by meisi a human, he doesn't have any intention of harming him so snake lord is right he is not going to make any trouble for now.

At the end of ep 12, that look ominous mzy made a vow to destroy the demons and all the evils but he'still has not found out about wz identity as half human. In an interview xk made, he was comparing them to mr and mrs smith, does that mean they will have a fight in the latter eps i'm looking forward to it ^^
