You're so right in that drama it glorify the sml over ml, and was really low budget after yanxi palaxe and arsenal military. Xukai still did great in that drama but he could've done much better projects, i felt bad for both xukai and wjy because they could've get a better script.

Yes i do think yz uses both xukai and bailu to promote new actors. In the case of bailu she was more lucky because she got main role right away, xukai debuted as a support character and he got a lucky break after story of yangxi palace became popular. I'm not saying bailu didn't work hard for her role, but it's clear she gotten more help from yuzheng than xukai because she was already given main role as soon as she debuted.

If any of it was true he would already be in trouble as china is very strict regarding an actor's conduct, otherwise it's just slander and should be report to the authority. This comment section is very friendly and don't even touch on bailu, it's only when bailu fans start to come to this channel and making accusation against xukai or blamed him for something he has no control over then that when his fans will talk back. Xukai apologizes not because he was in the wrong but because it was the right thing to do, he ackowledges they had fight but it wasn't physical violence.
