Seeing what Si Yun went through - from the men in her life, her brother, other male members of society and even the perspectives from the women of the time, including her own mother. I understand that these issues existed at that time and we can see progress. I look forward to seeing the changes (if any) when we move to the next two arcs of women during different eras. For me, the romance is a bonus and I am admiring the way that Cheng Ao thinks more than his physical attractiveness. (HAHA)
I don't know what to think. The big reveal, the angst, the betrayal. How smart XBM is as well as TS/TP/XBM brother.... I felt that the threads connecting everyone was thrown in the air and grasped in a fist to make connections of people and events. I did enjoy the mysteries in the beginning and if I had the foresight of Miao Jie who evidently planned everything 100 steps ahead, I would be a millionnaire....
We still have a way to go! I like how all the characters in the team have a role in seeking the truth. They have the smarts and the brawn. Looking forward to seeing how XBM and ZXM get themselves out of this pickle.
I will admit that I am getting a bit irritated at how things are going (after watching the latest episodes). In-fighting rather than searching for the real perpetrator...
I quite like the poster change. Actually the plot is moving along fine as well. I felt that in the first two episodes, XBM and ZXM as a couple felt rushed. Was it really love or just familiarity as they had grown up together? With all that has happened (up to this point) I feel that they have grown with each other. And also that love has grown as well. ZKY has to get on board and join this team. He is smart and I think he will be as devastated as the rest of the team once he discovers what is wrong with XBM. I am looking forward to the next episodes! Is it me or I feel the old caretaker is suss?
Ok so as the drama airs tomorrow, I just want to leave this here as a reminder. Especially for those who didn’t…
I haven't read the novel so I am going in blind without much expectations. What I know is from the sypnosis above. 😁 I am looking forward to the drama and the clips have increased my anticipation. PS> I do understand that when in battles, there is no time to be batting eyelashes at each other. 😆
I always say, watch for yourself. First 4 episodes set the pace and tone. If you don't like it, drop it. I am not a huge fan of the ML (last watched Perfect Match) and I am kinda ok with female lead (last watched Love in Time). The story so far is still keeping me invested and I feel I also have a love/hate relationship with Zhuge Kong Yun. I feel if he and XBM work together, they will be unstoppable.
Looks like the main characters are slowly revealing themselves. With so many setbacks, I really wonder how the team will proceed. I am also looking forward to how the mistaken identity of him being Yesha will be resolved. I find that he was too overwhelmingly arrogant in the beginning and now he has matured and thinks about what is best for others around him.
Hmm... FL had suspected ML of killing her father and she is supposed to be making doe eyes at him now? I think I like the pace where she is beginning to trust him again. I am not a big fan of ML and FL leads making lovey-dovey eyes at each other during cases. As for 2ML, where have you been??? I can't wait for him to be reunited with his bestie. HAHAHA.
Just started this and it's good. I like how Xiao Bei Ming is no longer as cocky as in the first two episodes. And also how XueMan has matured. Looking forward to the Scooby team solving these cases and finding the truth behind what happened three years ago.
For those who are still wondering. I believe that both decided to propose in 2025 because that year signified the end of their first life. Moving forward, they will not know what is going to happen in the future and it signals a new beginning. They were still together after the 10 years so that is already an achievement. To get married is just the finishing touches for their already beautiful life together.
This was a thrilling watch honestly and all the actors ate their roles 👏 but I didn't like Reina's ending...that…
I think that this also backfired on Reina. Remember at the end when Misa went to her grave and placed the woven bracelet on her tombstone? She also said Goodbye to Reina. So I take it that she is going to move on and not let Reina influence her life even after death.
Every episode there is a detail which will link to the next and wraps up by the end. So I think it is time for a full rewatch! Japanese dramas do tend to show more muted emotions and not too over the top reactions. We can easily distinguish between the K and J versions of this drama and everyone has their own preferences. Liking one version more doesn't mean we have to bash the other version. Also, don't forget that this drama is only 10 episodes so it has to be tightly written and executed. There aren't extra characters (like in the K version) for fate to bounce around to so I think the ending was right as it is (for our villains). PS, I am glad there is no fiancee trope here ..... definitely will need more than 10 episodes then!
This drama had heart! Happy overall with the ending.
Less dramatic overall compared to the K-version and somehow they made Reina a character you somewhat feel pity for. But I feel this was so much more romantic.....
