Almost done with this show and it definitely was a surprise hit for me. I want to give a different viewpoint to some comments about stiff acting from ML and FL. I think this is the first time I have seen two truly introverted main characters.
Both are considered weirdos. ML is constantly misunderstood by the court until he gets dragged in to explain himself. Then everyone is like Oh ...there is a method to his madness. FL is avoided because of her family profession. Both are quietly observant but kept all of their thoughts inside. Once they found they were kindred spirits, they were able to share their internal process with each other and felt completely understood.
So no this is not a sizzling romance or even a story of getting a tsundre lead out of their shell. In this case they sorta made their own shell LOL
Overall I thought this ended up being a fun, mystery drama and I liked the whole team dynamics working together to untangle political messes.
does anyone else get nervous before watching a drama they have been greatly anticipating for forever? I love Lu Si and am a sucker for romance so this has been on my radar for quite a while. now that it is here and I see all the rave reviews I'm excited but scared of the rush of feelings I know I will have. but I shall forge ahead! wish me well fellow drama lovers!
Just now watching Sunshine of My Life and it's my first intro to HY. Something about his voice/delivery made me take notice. It was like a low but menacing purr? I don't know if his dialect is different or it's just him but whatever it is I'm here for it!
bro that fight scene in episode 1 felt real asf Lusi was fighting for her life in that shit to me this is like…
My first drama of hers was Who Rules The World and she caught my attention! Since then I have watched almost all of her stuff and it's adorable seeing glimpses of talent in early works being honed in more recent productions. She made me think of Lucille Ball with her comedic timing but when she gets serious moments it is stunning. I wish her all the best!
So the screenwriter of this drama is also the sadistic screenwriter of Cheng Yi's drama, Love And Redemption?Aish,…
Now you are making me nervous! I loved the world and CP in LaR but def got tired of prolonged angst and blood. ALP was a little easier on me so hopefully this one isnt too rough on my heart
What episode was he on? I don't remember seeing him at all.
*facepalm* Full disclosure, I got him confused with the guy that was the injured general in the first 10 min of episode 1 where Bai Feng Xi takes him to a cave to recover. https://kisskh.at/people/45285-he-kai-lang
But! DGZ was the man in the scene right before where Bai Feng Xi talks from the treetops and smacks him with her sash thing.
In summary I feel both these handsome men do well with their small roles and should have bigger ones. Lol!
I'm another one that noticed him in WRTW and was surprised he was killed off! I thought he had a good fight and was an honorable character so I figured he would have been a ML of some sort. Definitely hope he has bigger ML roles in the future.
I feel bad he has no comments on this page! I'm watching A Girl Like Me right now and see potential in him. I hope he gets more opportunities to grow in the future ☺️
