Finally finished! I loved some things but overall not my fav xianxia. Granted that is a tricky genre for me anyway. BUT I thought ZLS and WAY did great!
I feel like somehow the hype, production, and story got in the way of itself. Does that make sense?
Why do people ask these questions. You will get your answer if you watch it.It is more fun to NOT know the episode…
You are right that watching is a fun journey! But I will say sometimes people are in need of a certain feel and don't want to waste time with something that will stress them out or they end up dropping. I have some rough situations currently and my favorite comforts are couples that once they are together they are totally devoted and face hardships together with a happy ending. Sometimes I can get through less than ideal stories with fav actors/actresses.
Just wanted to shed some light on why asking questions/spoilers are important to some people.
Shishio could’ve easily been written as bi but they had him saying I know it’s selfish but I want us to be…
Preach! I was so let down by that whole subplot. He totally could have been Bi or they could have just been good friends. But they made a no win situation in an otherwise feel good show. Weird!
This is the best Bai Lu drama for me. I've loved ZLH for a while and he absolutely upped his ante for Xie Wei!
The guy that plays Dao Qin is my favorite strong man type. I wish he had more scenes! Actually I have decided I have a weird ship of him with the Princess. SOMEBODY WRITE ME A FANFIC PLZ!
Don't think of this as a remake. It is more "inspired by".
Nice ML effort from Dew being so young and new on the scene. Bummer his character is rather bland just being an arrogant, rich boy. But it didn't really need to be deeper for this.
I've never seen the FL before but I think she is a ray of sunshine! She makes me want to smile with her.
Luke keeps improving and he had a nice range in this.
For those that loved the original (*which I also enjoyed*) I would say the biggest differences are more fluffy romance, more satisfying Mom conclusion, and I liked the concept of sometimes people just don't want to be found and people should respect that.

1. Anytime something important happens do not rely on magical surveillance equipment. It will always be broken or tampered with
2. If you want to punish someone forever, killing is better than imprisonment. They either escape or are rescued.
This really makes me question the HR department for having such security failures.
I liked the ML though and could definitely see his career growing. Also he reminded me of Harrison Ford sometimes with the half smile.
