I think this was the wrong format for this story. It made the complex feelings super rushed at the end and didn't bring the watcher along.

I liked the ML though and could definitely see his career growing. Also he reminded me of Harrison Ford sometimes with the half smile.

Nice ML effort from Dew being so young and new on the scene. Bummer his character is rather bland just being an arrogant, rich boy. But it didn't really need to be deeper for this.

I've never seen the FL before but I think she is a ray of sunshine! She makes me want to smile with her.

Luke keeps improving and he had a nice range in this.

For those that loved the original (*which I also enjoyed*) I would say the biggest differences are more fluffy romance, more satisfying Mom conclusion, and I liked the concept of sometimes people just don't want to be found and people should respect that.

Question on transcendence pill: do we see them gather the essence of the flying beast or no?

Currently on Ep 19 and the only thoughts I can share right now quickly are that

1. Zu Ke has gorgeous eyes. Which is perfect for when he is being sneaky, wears a mask, and we can identify him by his devious/beautiful eyes.

2. Jai Nai is a fun FL friend. I first saw her in Date from The Future and everyone in that was sooooo immature I couldn't stand it. So I'm glad she got a more fun, strong character in this! I think she is doing well!

I held off as long as I could before starting this. I prefer to know if HE because my heart can't take too much sorrow right now, but I was missing ZL and a be epic story SO BAD!

So I have taken the plunge and will probably catch up to you all soon.

I think WAY looks really good in a costume drama and someday LYR should lead. Especially with ZL cuz he never gets her lol

I remember when I saw him in WRTW I thought he was going to be a main character and was sorely disappointed. I would totally support him as a ML!

good news! I literally just watched this in Ep 5. A demigod that loved a previous Phoenix king helped them get a piece of essence they needed and A'yin asked if he would also lift the contract.

I would have rated higher but the editing towards the end definitely was messed up. There were a few times I think they put a scene right after where it should have been. Also let down jump in last episode with no explanation.

The romances were sweet though and Deng Kai stole the show for me. He actually caught my eye in Blood of Youth and he got to show a nice softness in this. Hope to see him as a ML someday!

This felt almost like a Twin Peaks type of show for me. Where it takes place in a tiny town and everyone is a little sus plus super quirky. Starts silly but gets more serious as they hone in on the danger.

Lee Min Ki was smoking hot! I am a sucker for romance and there are enough gazes to keep you going. I don't think a more full fledged romance would have worked in this drama.

The opening song is a bop and I had to see if Changbin from SKZ was involved with it! lol He wasn't but it was done by one of his fellow rapper buddies so I'm not surprised it was great 😄

Definitely not one sided love. Even when they have massive disagreements they still worry about each other. However, the FL does sort of use the MLs devotion sometimes to make a point which gets frustrating. Thankfully it never lasts long and you are rewarded by the end. I hope that helps you make up your mind!

Xu Kai absolutely shone in this! Also Gao Han did a great job of being elegantly unhinged. I thought it was a fun ride and the story was pretty tight with how situations flowed to the next issue.

I also loved the character Peach. She was every bit as strong and respected as the FL.

I will probably be stalking this comment section for the next year while waiting for this to air...

I will be watching this after some more episodes get out because I'm a binger so I haven't started yet. BUT based on some comments here, do people not wait for character growth anymore? Often if a character is super obnoxious that means they have room to grow and can make for really nice learning experiences. So maybe ease up and just enjoy the ride a little longer?

All that being said, even if the ML remains a twat by the end of this I will still watch it for my girl Rosy. :-)

This is light and fun! Thank goodness it is only 24 episodes because any longer and it would have been too draggy. I feel a lot of cdramas lately should be 24 episodes and not 36.

Anyone else think the 2FL looked a little like a young Alyssa Milano?
