For some reason, Zhao Zhi Wei keeps making me think of Daddi Tang. Not complaining 😏 because they are both handome!

I think I would have been more frustrated with this show had I not had this comment section and Cyn Lynn recaps. The show struggled to convey time and distances throughout the country.

However, this was beautiful with some solid acting especially from the men!

I need S2 to hurry up!

1. CX gets a second wife awarded to him. Was this not a slap in the face to the Shen Clan? Or was it considered OK because she was lower status and is still a wife/not concubine level?

2. Did XY give up TJ because of pregnancy only? Like once she knew he was effectively date raped (*even if it is unconfirmed sex actually happened*), she could have gotten past it. However because a child is involved it was a given he would "have" to marry FFYY because of societal customs.

I have some questions that are not important at all but are spoilers. Dear LYFers, plz help!

Solid 8.5 but I'm bumping to 9 because of how satisfying the end was and all the warm feels sprinkled throughout the show.

He isn't the lead in these but
I thought his character was super cute in Unicorn Girl and he was good in Your Sensibility My Destiny.

I literally just had that thought today when I saw a thumbnail for something and thought it was ZL. It is something fleeting in the facials I think because overall I think both men are striking in very different ways.

I think it was the fact it was like a hard cut shoulder length bob but with it long underneath. It was the most noticeable during the conference scene where she took the stage to speak. Super unflattering for anyone! It wasn't so bad when her hair was in a ponytail though.

Super weak explanation of ghosting and then stalking. FL definitely should have made him work a bit to earn her trust.

Of course I love happy endings! I'm glad we got there and the angst didn't drag forever. However it just felt like a cop out to wrap up the show.

This is the first time I can say I overall still recommend this drama despite a rushed ending. IYKYK

I almost dropped because it wasn't grabbing me like I thought it would. But I felt it started to hit a groove around episode 5 then really kept moving!

The FL became more focused and the team dynamics were fun. Ji Sung simply smolders whatever scene he is in. No this is not a medically accurate representation of some hospital procedures and whatnot but if you watch for fun medical drama then I think this show will get better for you.

What was the deal with the CEO sister and her assistant? They hinted at a relationship early on and he rejected moving forward. Why? Probably a storyline that got cut but it left me wanting to know more

I think more people should give this show a chance. I really enjoyed it! The FL isn't the current "standard" you see in most modern cdramas lately; both in her personality and visuals. I thought it was really refreshing!

The sweet puppy dog faces from the ML as he tries to figure out the FL is heart melting.

There definitely are pacing problems in the last 3ish episodes. But since they kept this show short you don't have to suffer long.

Small spoiler rant below...

Once they get together I really wanted them to just talk to each other when they got new information. Maybe if they worked together it wouldn't have been so dangerous at the end?!

This is the best review and said pretty much everything I thought. If there was a way to pin it to the top I would.

I think this is a solid isekai! More focused than some similar dramas I have seen.

Deserves somewhere between 8 - 8.5. The story is fun, the kisses are sweet, and occasionally the acting is surprisingly good. Not that it is ever really bad acting but it's fine for what this needs.

Lots of cute faces that I would like to see again. Definitely recommend if you are looking for light between heavy shows.

I know better than to start things before they are fully subbed, yet I started this. Now I must wait! I guess I could help the drama community by learning Japanese? or at least how to fan sub and start with Google translate?

lol I actually meant the 2ML! I know his haircut is a little longer...but the scenes he DOESNT have a bun I don't think his hair could make the bun. Just continuity funness. I almost never notice continuity things like that but he is so dreamy I was paying attention ;-)

He is so wonderful with complicated characters! however the fangirl in me wants him to have a happy ending with the FL for once. He would be a great morally gray ML like Story of Kunning. Dark and passionate.
