I have to say I agree. I'm not going to verbally judge anyone for doing it, but I disagree with the western mentality…
I have no issue with your second paragraph, as I never said it's a topic that should be taboo or shameful, I was trying to say that someone who chooses to stay chaste should not be ridiculed as they sometimes are in western culture (particularly among other high schoolers and peers). As far as me saying the media pushing for teenage sex to be accepted, I don't mean people are directly saying "teenagers need to start letting loose more often!" No, but the sexual content in teen shows, music, media, etc are what I consider to be an indirect (or subtle if you will) push for it to become more accepted and normalised.
Also, as far as I know, purity culture is in relation to Christianity, and not all people who are abstinent follow Christianity.
And the first paragraph, I agree that teenagers generally don't have enough experience or mental capacity to choose a life partner (when I personally talk about teen marriage, I mean ages 18-19 because under that you're still generally in HS). So yes, while some people wouldn't do well in a teen marriage, some people would. I'm also not saying more people should get married in their teens, not at all, obviously if there's someone in your life who you know isn't ready for marriage then you advise them against it, but there are teens who thrive in young marriages. Everyone is different thus I try not to generalise.
My point, is I don't agree with how it's fine in Western culture for 13-14yr olds (literal children) to engage in adult activities, but younger marriage seems to be looked upon negatively. While it's better to wait till the 20s to get married, not everyone is the same. Am I making sense?
Anyhow, this is just my opinion, you have yours and that's fine.
It's a fun movie to watch. Most countries still have 16yrs as the minimum age for marriage and it exists for a…
I have to say I agree.
I'm not going to verbally judge anyone for doing it, but I disagree with the western mentality that teen marriage (by which I mean ages 18-19) is wrong yet at the same time teenage sex is 100% fine. I'm not saying I think it's necessarily bad, but all I'm saying is why not support a young girl who wants to get married and be in a secure relationship the same way the media pushes for teenage sex to be accepted?
To many Westerners, the idea of wanting to get married young, or keep yourself chaste until marriage are ideas that are old-fashioned, frowned upon, and reminiscent of oppressive times past. I truly don't understand it. I know a girl who got married at the age of 17 to a man who was around 25-26 and although I was shocked (and wouldn't have done it myself) she's happy and has no regrets. And this was in the US, she's American. It wasn't an arranged marriage or anything like that.
Can you tell me what he did ??? Reading your comment got me so so curious
He slapped him in front of all his friends, chained him up in a room for three days and raped him. And then afterwards Day acts like he's in the right and makes Itt feel guilty by saying things like "All you have to do is not lie to me and I won't hurt you." and by telling him if he disobeys him like that again, he's going to break up with him. (He was joking though, because we know he can't live without Itt). He's quite abusive in the novel.
You can tell this was written by a woman with a blow job treated like something huge and a big sacrifice - if…
Who's sun? You mean Day?
And I agree, he didn't even explain why he stood in the middle of the bloody road. Just "Oh, I see you hit me?!" And Itt getting upset and running away after that? Gosh, I just wanted them to talk it over. He knows that Day was always a crazy violent asshole and had to reign himself in over the years, since he lost his memory and almost all of his character development was gone, how else was he supposed to act?
I don't completely blame Itt, because if you've read the novel, you'd know that Day purposely made Itt like that (a dependent, whiny thing). I'm not saying it was right for him to hit Itt, not at all, but I think Night and Gear had the wrong reaction. They all 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 that Day was a violent, manipulative, controlling person. He changed over the course of their relationship, but then he lost his memory so they should've expected that he might resort to his old ways of hitting Itt if pushed (which in the novel, he does quite a bit).
And next ep's preview does not look good, if I saw correctly, Itt sitting in a tent with another man? I do not sense good things coming.
Now just so nobody misunderstands me, Day is very much an asshole, but in a way, so is Itt.
I'm so glad they altered the scene where Itt's saving up for a motorbike by racing, I was horrified after I read what Day did to him after he found out. After a year of watching Thai BL, I'm much less sensitive to toxic and abusive scenes but this one had me shook. I'm glad that the series is more mild.
Same, only on episode two and I was SO disappointed when I found out he's not the main, especially because I was…
Same tbh. After a few more episodes I still didn't like the ML. I really tried to love the main couple but I couldn't. I also couldn't stand the fact that the King ends up alone. If they had made him get over Gaettong and fall in love with another woman, I could've bore it. I ended up dropping it and watching The Crowned Clown instead.

Here's a post I made explaining my full feelings about the show: https://kisskh.at/profile/EarthKfan16/feeds/BV68ECE
