I'm just trying to think positively after 45 episodes reduced to 40 episodes. Practically I want to hope the 4hours…
I am trying to think if there is anything controversial in the book that would justify deleting 4 hours of footage. I am not sure if i can think of anything else but I am in the middle of re-reading it so I will pay extra attention this time. Hopefully it is some character or political plotline, maybe religious theme that was deleted.
I have to respectfully disagree on GJ's profile picture. I think he looks hot AF in that profile pic. They can…
Same. These pics don't give them justice. I'd really thought that ZZH is mediocre at best but then I saw him in the drama..I am sure greek gods sculpted him. His face is way too perfect, this profile pic needs to go.

Netflix is notorious of having bad synopsis and subs. You should see how terrible the subs are in my language. Even SUPPOSEDLY seasoned translators translate like shite. I don't know what it is that makes them unable to understand and translate simple sentences on Netlix. I am so salty. The fansubs are so much better, it is embarrassing at this point. And the titles? They add the word "love" to most drama titles because ofc they translate that too. They would change WoH to Word of Love if they could (this one.. I would be okay with lol) but it won't be available in my country. That is another thing, we get less asian content and later than most. I can and will access to Netflix usa though and laugh my arse off when bossom friends comes up.
Seo Inguk, the love triangle and Ailee's ost is the reason I am giving this drama 2 more episodes of chance. Loved the first episode, these last 3, not so much.
I love that bts video where they are shooting the scene when Kexing spits blood and then faints. It shows the teamwork between ZZH and GJ perfectly. GJ is getting into character and then gives a tiny nod to ZZH that he is ready and then ZH lets the staff know that GJ is ready to roll. If you haven't seen it, check it out.
This man is a gem. Truly I have never seen another actor thank everybody else's fan. Just shows how big of a heart…
And I am also blown away by how he (and Gong Jun too) handles shippers. I truly, truly hope with the "it is okay to ship if it makes you happy" attitude, they will avoid fandom wars. He handled fans like a pro and came out of it stronger and more loved. Like how could you handle it any better than this? "thank you for loving me/us, you are appreciated. we'll hand WenZhou over to you, we are ZZH and GJ from tonight but keep on doing what makes you happy". He is a smart man, that you can tell.
This is such a Gong Jun thing to do. Keep on fighting & succeeding, GJ. We will be there for you. I’m glad he…
This is like something straight out of a youth drama. This photo is melancholic and romantic at the same time. I am not really into stanning actors but if I were, I would definitely stan him. He is that type of person who radiates happiness and positivity. That said, I will keep my eyes on his projects because I did get attached to him whoopsie
It's amusing to see ZZH is getting more and more housewife-related good endorsements, from juicer, laundry detergent…
The nation's laopo title actually sounds soooo cute and fits him in my opinion. He is quite manly but he has this soft feminine-like side that he is channeling since playing A-Xu. Super endearing.
Li Cheng and Teng Teng are great together so if you don't like the brothers' storyline, skip their scenes. It is worth for the other pairing, I am telling you.
Yes. I was just gonna write about this. Everything Eddie Broke said is true. Both ZZS and WKX were not writed in…
I totally understand you. I kept telling my friend how different Zishu was in the book and I would love to see THAT Zishu. Now I treat book and drama versions as two different characters because they definitely are. I let go of my book fan persona and I could enjoy it. Once again, I understand if you can’t because it is always tough to see your favourite characters on screen written by another writer.
I actually have read Faraway Wanderers twice already and I could appreciate it for the second time more too. Will read it a couple of more times in the future for sure. I am actually about to re-read Sha Po Lang now, I am gearing up for the drama, whenever that one comes out.

Thinking about the book more, and building on your comment, I realized that while reading it, I felt like Zishu and Kexing are not good people but I also understood their childhood was terrible and I could sympathize with them. I think in the drama they had to make them softer and be the actual good guys (I don't mind it though, I love both versions of them). And this is the big difference between the book and drama because Kexing did finish what he started and killed everyone. Zishu then turned up and didn't even blink. Iirc he asked Kexing if he wants to live or not and that was the same point like in the drama when Kexing falls down the cliff and loses/kills? the Ghost Valley Chief part of himself. But he did take his revenge before that.
I’m still super obsessed with this drama so I kind of wanted to do a final review! I’m putting this in the…
I personally really liked the book, I know it has its faults but WenZhou dynamics is so fun. I would say Kexing is fairly similar to how he is in the drama but a bit darker in the original. Zishu though, he is quite different. He is way way way more tsundere (can be super flirty though, the drama doesn't do this part of him justice) and he never blames Kexing because he knows they both have dirty hands. So you know, Kexing feels accepted and sees someone he could be if he stays on the right track. I didn't pity him either but I was rooting for him to change. Just like A-Xu probably.
Also, it is canon that Kexing, when he doesn't hold himself back, is more powerful than Zishu uhuhu kept thinking about it watching the drama.
Edit: I forgot that the whole "they knew each other way back then" was added. So Kexing was never Zishu's shidi. He just found Zishu suspicious and interesting so he started to follow him. So this extra layer of familiarity is not in the book.
I am keeping my eyes on Winner is King, I saw some things in the leaked videos that made me excited. Not sure…
We literally don't know what is the truth with that censorship rumor. One day they say it passed, the next that it didn't. I think Tencent can pull some strings when it wants to and they probably want another big hit with WIK and definitely with Immortality.
will i ever find a cp with as much chemistry? my cp chemistry expectations have risen ;A;
I am keeping my eyes on Winner is King, I saw some things in the leaked videos that made me excited. Not sure if it is WenZhou level but if it finds its own voice, it can be just as fun. I am so here for more than 1 amazing chinese BL per every couple of years.

Idk now I feel like I want to read it again.
