i feel like this is one of the occasions where the drama would have actually benefitted from having more episodes as it would let the secondary characters really shine. It was cute and wholesome but I expected a different ending and a bit more focus on the romance part as this was advertised as a rom com.
Ok, this was insanely good. It has lots of humour and a very engaging plot. Tbh I came here for Lee Jun Ho (who plays 2ML and a villain) but every character is worth the attention. If you know me at all you know that I'm not a fan of redemption arc but here it works perfectly (and I'm not talking about ML only). Fun fact: Namkoong Min and Lee Jun Ho (ML and 2ML) won Best Couple Award in 2017 for this drama and good for them as the chemistry between them was out of this world.
Best Mistake's spin off series, made solely because the original series was so popular. This never happens, but you can trust me, this one was so much better than the base material. The production value is so much higher, characters are less annoying, and there is something that actually resembles a plot. The most popular girl chooses ML at random and claims he's her new boyfriend to once and for all break up with her current bf (as he can't take no for an answer and only the existence of another man is a valid reason not to pursue someone. Eyeroll.) Ending is obvious, but it was somewhat sweet and wholesome.
we're moving to uni setting but nothing really changes. Plan Toast Bella Swan still has boyos falling for her left and right for whatever reason, villain from season 2 is now besties with everyone, and we have yet another"You're better off without me" unnecessary break up. I need to stop being such a glutton for punishment. Honestly.
I mean, ok? Our girl Plain Toast Bella Swan still has boys falling for her for some mysterious reasons. There's also typical pointless "you're better off without me" breakup (New Moon, Im looking at you). There's a female villain introduced but her villainy has such a random reason I. Just. Can't. ML re-dyed his hair to sort of orange colour and gained like 25% of personality he lost in season 1
FML has a serious Bella Swan syndrome, every boy around seems to fall in love with her, even though she's bland like a piece of toast. So plotwise, FML to get rid of a stalker accidentally pretends that the school's bad boy is her boyfriend. Like if that ever would have helped with a stalker, but what do I know. Unfortunately in episode 2 Bad Boy dyes his hair from blonde to black and instantly loses half of his personality. That being said, will I watch season 2 and 3? Most likely, yes,
oh wow, this TRAUMATISED me. I cried on every single episode (sometimes twice) so this gives at the very least 16 cries. Who am I honestly.. This is somehow a terribly sad drama (FML has only 3 months to live) but also strangely wholesome and lovely. Highly recommend. Also, Lee Soo Hyuk's deep voice deserves its own drama.
could have been so great, but turned out to be a total follow flop with the final episode I wish I hadn't seen. ML looked constipated for the whole time, which is weird as I googled the actor and it's not his usual face. There's only an 8 year difference between ML and FML (actors, not characters) but it surely was weird to watch as she looks 20 and he looks 50 (and constipated). Do I recommend? Only if you wish to know more about the housing market in Korea, which is interesting but not interesting enough to spend 16eps on.
So, hear me out, you know how you're in a restaurant and the waiter brings you a super pretty looking food, you try the side dish and it's amazing, then you dive into the main course and it turns out to be an overcooked and unseasoned chicken? That's this drama in a nutshell. Thank God it's finished. I keep my fingers crossed for Lee Jae Wook's and Lee Jun Young's agencies to pick better scripts in the future bc omg their backs must hurt from carrying this whole show
The best parts about the last episode were the 4 cameos, KB being the best one of the 4. Now I want to see KB…
I get that the separation trope is supposed to show the strength of love but in this case it was so unnecessary. It's not like his father's was fighting for his life on another continent or he was captured by enemy forces and kept in a basememet for half a year or idk he was from North Korea đ
Don't you dare throwing my babe Kim Bum at me so I forget how awful this drama was. It started promising, but somewhere in the middle writers clearly lost interest and the plot went downhill hard.
