Finally got around to catching up! I actually realized new details that I didn't catch the first time around:

1. Its been mentioned multiple times that it's weird how the characters go to bed with hair ornaments and full makeup but we actually see one instance where this isn't the case. Bitchang doesn't wear hers to bed in ep 3 and 4. In ep 3 when she's eavesdropping on LSS and their dad's convo, she still has her hair ornaments, earrings, and makeup. When the sleep demon takes her away she doesn't have any of this on. It's shown again when XL checks on her when he goes to save them.
2. I lovelovelove the use of the bgm for his mom's wedding. Literally my fav ost. I actually didn't notice this ost until the festival ep though.
3. The scene where we see the origin of his first name shouldn't have been shown technically. Since TTJ and LSS are walking through Yingxin's memories, she wouldn't have seen this because she and Lan'an had already left the room. I still love this scene aha.
4. The slightly sinister bgm that plays when TTJ is alone with his thoughts always slaps. I remember the first time I watched I couldn't help but find TTJ slightly creepy and I realized the bgm really helped to sell this idea that he's basically edward scissorhands X"D

Actually watching ashes of love and love is sweet.. LIS is so cute so far (on ep 3) and AOL is a bit slow for me. I started watching it before TTEOTM but it’s still taking some effort.

Ahhh I’m so sad for seeing what could have been. YQY seeing his trusted advisors pass away while he lives on as the ruler makes it even more sad. He’s not just missing love and family but companions due to his long life. We should’ve seen him at least see PR again.

And NBY we never saw again after he was thrown back into the barren abyss. Even a glimpse of him reunited with his tribe would’ve been ok with me.

I just know the red string scenes were cute. I NEED. 😭

It is my understanding that the moment he absorbed ADG he ascended to godhood as the new Devil god. That’s how he was able to hear LSS when she woke up as his bride-to-be captive in ep 39. He even told her that now that he’s the devil god he is everywhere (he is present and can talk to her while not being physically there. This implies that he’s “all-seeing”)

Then when LSS became a god herself in ep 40 they both went to the place where only gods can go in the heavens/ ( I don’t remember what the place is called but it’s where LSS’s birth dad and mom fought for the last time before her mom died). LSS and TTJ were appreciating the view and LSS said it was a shame that they were the only 2 capable of seeing that view. TTJ said it was a view that only gods can see. That made it clear to me that they were the only 2 in the current timeline to reach ‘god’ status.

Ahh I just finished but now I wanna do this with everyone too . Tuning in for ep 3 aha

I really hope we can see LYX and BL paired again one day. I saw a tweet that mentioned that they were allowed to improvise quite a bit on set because they were so comfy with each other which is amazing. LOL bitchang is the most fitting name. I feel bad for Xiao Lin/jiwu because of her I will never support that ship even if he deserves love. I’m that bitter 😅

Oh and this is amazing thank you! I’m curious how the novel ended actually so I’ll follow up on that, and maybe see if I can save the ost playlist on Spotify 👀

The last 20 min really got me. I got hit with them both times I watched aha.

Oh and Pian Ran is my girl. I just know we would be besties. I love her so much. SZN is so pretty... her hairstyle as Pian Ran was my fav.

Ahhh I just finished this last night and what a rollercoaster. This was SO good in a frustrating way. I had to watch the last ep 2x to catch all the subs bc ..well.. tears. The ending was lowkey beautiful despite what happened. I was spoiled a bit on twitter but no spoiler prepared me for the feels trip I went on. Also as someone who is emotionally constipated, the fact that I was moved this much says something.

LYX and BL are incredible actors! I told my sister while we watched that the way LYX controls his eyes is top tier. His eyebrows are paid actors and must've been threated to be shaved off bc they ATE . For BL I noticed she's great at emoting her whole face in a believable way.

Shout out to CDL too bc I hated Ye Bianchang SO much (more than Di mian actually). Any scene where she had tears really sold it. I kinda noticed a trend in the few period dramas I've watched that there's always 1 woman character who's the most evil and annoying (ex. ML's mom in ashes of love, Hei Fengxi's step mom in who rules the world, or Hua Wuque's aunt (the sect leader) in handsome siblings). She was the best out of that trope for me.

kudos to this kdrama for making me cry multiple times. I dont cry easy and yet my heart strings were being attacked constantly! I rank it really high because of that and the plot was immaculate except for the last ep. I ended up skipping some parts due to frustration but the acting was amazing.

Didn’t really enjoy the execution of comedy but the more serious parts were perfect. It took me awhile to actually get into it and the only thing that got me past the early episodes was my family practically forcing me stay and watch with them. So it’s a mix of me REALLY enjoying some parts and REALLY disliking other parts.

Oh and one thing I found funny is how Milk’s character Erng is wearing the same shoe from when she was a kid. It shouldn’t fit since she’s older now but I guess it was done so the audience knows who she is. I still chuckled though 😂😭

Also what does his ears have to do with his role as a uni student in a school club??? How does that physical feature even relate to that specific role? It doesn’t. Not you gate keeping what your average uni student should look like.
