You know the adage that these two things can be true at once? For me, it's these three things: The first four episodes with the developing relationship between Aksorn and Songjam are pretty close to perfect for a gentle BL. The age gap between P'Kyo and Aksorn is skeevy and needlessly complicated the story. But I'm glad those complications were rushed because between trying to get my head around the plot, missing Songjam, asking questions and attempting to do the age maths with a quarter of my attention, I just sort of disregarded the last two episodes as the author's fever dream or something which didn't really happen in the story. IMO the ending should have been abandoned for something simpler. With Songjam of course because Beck and Parky were so lovely together and P'Kyo was a weird interloper.
If you're getting pop up ads on dramacool, you're at risk for malware. Best to avoid that and related sites altogether but if you insist on using them at least protect yourself with a solid ad blocker like uBlockOrigin.
The site I linked to is Thai PBS (vipa is their streaming service) itself. So no ads, no malware and it's their content, not stolen to make money for someone else. You're showing your support for their programming and interest in English subtitles.
This list https://kisskh.at/list/4a6QB0e1 is kept updated with which from Thai PBS have English subs available. If you run into problems navigating their site and there isn't a direct link on the title's MDL page, feel free to ask me for help. They have some brilliant programming tucked away.
Do I need to watch the other versions too in order to watch this movie?
It quotes from/parodies the 1999 Nang Nak A LOT in the beginning and end. You don't need to watch that one first but you'll get more from Pee Mak if you do.
Can anyone recommend me good thai movies like this ? any genre
Nang Nak (1999), and then come back to Pee Mak, you'll understand more of the jokes and references here. Low Season, excellent comedy horror. Really funny and lots of perfectly-timed jump scares. Make Me Shudder, half of it is high school boys running through empty buildings screaming but they must have had so much fun. Make Me Shudder 2 (I haven't seen yet) ties in with Mae Nak.
Not only is the message significant and powerfully articulated, this is some of the best-crafted work I've seen. The skill of the writing to layer in and then reveal so much so smoothly. Much respect for everyone involved.
Nang Nak (1999) is the best to start with IMO. A redubbed version of Mae Nak Phra Khanong (1959) is available with auto-generated Eng subs which sometimes clarify and sometimes confuse. Pee Mak contains more of a traditional Mae Nak than I anticipated going in. It stands alone but you'll miss a whole layer of jokes if you haven't seen Nang Nak. Ghost of Mae Nak 3D/Mae Nak 3D (2012) is in the same vein as 1959 with the first half centered on their life together before Mak goes off to war. The second half is pared down plotwise, meant for an audience who knows the story. Instead it focuses on the emotions. Daeng Phra Khanong is about the kid. The idea and the last ~10 minutes are good but the rest isn't.
Make Me Shudder 2 is (I think) more set in the world of Nak. Including it here as the list is short.
So this is one of those Thai series where a late revelation adds an entire layer of understanding and even more emotional depth. I can see the dots they gave us to connect, except for one thing. Deserves watching again. Really wish the other series in the compilation were accessible too.
The Betrayal is listed as Remake of: South Korea. Multiple Asian adaptations but the original is Doctor Foster from the UK so it will fit the much harder to fill Non-Asian country category.
The slow burn of this really worked for me. By the time it became too much to bear I was too hooked to stop. I almost didn't watch it because I rarely get on with mockumentaries but this is more like these things were happening while some people are there making a documentary. It was also an effective way of bridging the gap between the explanations needed for outsiders and it all being very real for those involved. Much respect for how skillfully they developed this story.
Can someone with better language skills confirm if Daou and Offroad (Century of Love, Love in Translation) are a RL couple and it's not just fan rumours? There's a tiktok of them showing off couple rings. From friend: Daou & Offroad want to not be called a pretend couple. Daou has said that as a celebrity, he can't be clear, but there is someone, everyone knows who it is, but as celebrities they can't be clear.... (Sounds pretty clear to me :D , will leave it to others to decide if that's enough.)
Zee and Nunew (Cutie Pie, After Sundown) have also said they don't want to be called a fake couple. They live together, say I love you, Zee has said definitely more than พี่น้อง. Aren't sure how to define it, but two years ago Zee said people can see them as a couple. (IMO that's enough for our purposes here.)

US$ 2.00 to access for 72 hours. I haven't yet so can't confirm if it's subtitled.

I'll ask you again. Please edit your post and tick the spoiler box.
