I really rather loved this. Had guessed that a far-fetched plot cast with Nanon and Namtan would have substance too and this certainly did. Less a love triangle and more a complicated situation with young people finding the best way through it. The depth of the many varied friendships which developed too. But then when I happened on the trailer to Only Friends later and Mark was upset and my reaction was all NO NO NO NO do NOT hurt LENG and that was when I realised how attached I'd become to him as well. His character is so necessary to make this complicated story work in 8 episodes. Third time through, I knew enough to really appreciate P'Aof's skill in the way he gave us Mark, Fourth and Khaotung in 30 seconds boom Boom BOOM and then those 5 seconds when we first see First....

Thai drama can have this way of surrounding big emotions with warmth and kindness, so all of my suggestions are Thai Two more from director P'Aof, Last Twilight and He's Coming to Me The Library, exquisite short film Ghost Host Ghost House, looks like it will be a fluffy BL promo vehicle but it's full of emotional intelligence and vulnerability and possibly The Broken Us (Thai PBS), heavy subjects but so delicately and gently told. it's the only drama I rate higher than Moonlight Chicken.

Given that Third fell for Wee but walked past Wadfah without any recognition, I think:
* Wee has Wad's soul, which is what matters and why both Third and San fell for Wee * Unless the curse/cure worked differently than the 4th generation doctor Tao understood, at least one of them was Wad. * Wadfah may have gotten the physical aspect of Wad (evidence for: same birthday as Wee), or maybe her appearance was just an extreme family resemblance. * It might be body and soul had to work together and they didn't have enough episodes to explore that or chose not to.
* San realised the importance of being in the moment rather than living for the expectation that things will be a certain way (Wad reincarnating as female with a similar personality, neither had Wad's personality). Which is still true even if Wee is Wad. * He wouldn't have realised this as strongly if it had been clear that Wee is Wad and it's better for their relationship going forward to let go of the past.
So San's interpretation may be less evidential than Third's reactions to Wee and Wadfah. Ergo, Wee is Wad but San loves him as Wee.

"Great grandfather" is emphasising his age and status within the group. Subtitles vary in how they handle this but the terms are easy to learn how to hear and can tell you more than the subtitles give.
These were my favourite sniff kisses I've seen so far (superceding the sweetest pair from Bright Vachirawit to Davika Hoorne in Astrophile), so no I'm not cringing :) Daou and Offroad really brought out the sensuous side of them in some of theirs.

They did kiss. We just didn't see it. Which suits the characters well. That was my take. I knew management had forbidden it beforehand and was delighted at how they finessed the situation. Completely in character for it to be private. Creativity from the director, skill to get the timing right, a bit of surprise but also clear the elevator doors were closing that much faster than they were moving towards each other. The situation from management was lousy but in the end the director, camera and actors found a great solution.
