The Warp Factor, also directed by Jojo with Game & Chim contributing to the writing, was good on many aspects of women's issues and made a point to show variety in queer and kink sex but didn't venture past cliched bangs for non-kink het. And here a variation on that has to carry the series.

I love that Thai titles of series are often much more interesting than their English "counterparts", so…
Per synopsis, there's a cult leader who goes by "Father" - when I watch it, I'll hear พระบิดา, yes?
Thai titles are often character names, sometimes with a bit of colour/tone/emotion

https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/แก
1. (colloquial) a second person pronoun used to address a person of equal or lower status out of affection or intimacy
2. (colloquial, derogatory) a second person pronoun used to address a person of equal or lower status out of contempt
3. (colloquial, somewhat dated) a third person pronoun, often used to refer to an older person or person of higher status

The first usage, between close friends of equal status, is what I'm used to hearing. That can't be what's going on here.
Given the age difference and how important age hierarchy is in Thai culture, could this be a play between the 2nd and 3rd usages? Using a word with a technically acceptable meaning (the dated third) but *very* cheekily leaning into the 2nd derogatory usage?

Possibly with พระบิดา to "justify" the dated third (more acceptable for a cult/religious figure & the dated language of the title he claims for himself) but with สิ to emphasise that 2nd meaning?

If you want to force a translation of that into English, something like "Father, you...." (where we're not sure what word to use exactly) but that misses out how it may be playing with the language of age hierarchy and playfully disrespecting it.
(I haven't seen it yet so I'm going by the synopsis and what I know of Thai youth series etc)
Does this sound plausible?

When this lets Cris, with or without Pookie, play lakorn exaggeration as comedy, it's great. It moves and it has energy. But the rest of the story is thin, cliched and over-reliant on idk, let's call it shock factor. I'm all for series and lakorns with women exploring their own desire and sexual agency, but this isn't it. The writing and directing isn't solid enough to pull it off.

Glad you found that. I was going to try to explain this film's history. lol
Yes, it does need context =D Took me awhile to work out how the various people fit together and I didn't know if it was the style of film-making or another one where everyone in Thailand already knows.
On My Sassy Princess: Cinderella Feb 19, 2026
The synopsis does such a disservice to the quality of the story. This is intelligent youth lakorn.

I'm not sure how to write a review because this kept surprising me, and in very good ways. It is excellent. Smart, sometimes very funny, more lakorn than I was expecting, and always full of heart.

And it is so very Thai <3

please help me, I’m confused. is gmmtv aring two dramas by the same name (MuTeLuv)?? Are they connected or completely…
Look at the title at the top of this page again - see the : after MuTeLuv
This means it's part of a compilation or anthology series - several short mini-series packaged together under one brand name and airing sequentially.
On MDL the format is
Compilation Name: Miniseries Name

GMMTV in particular does this, though less recently, so it's worth knowing.
I don't understand why MDL labels its listing for the compilation as a whole "Thai original story." That is misleading and confusing. MuTeLuv is the name of the anthology, not a separate series.

Ok, that's new information. Saeng is on android and the app was working for her.
If you could take a moment to email
[email protected]
it will help them understand that browser and your app are geo-restricted. They already fixed this once after enough international viewers let them know.
Thanks.

Sorry, misunderstood because you mentioned iPhone.
Are you saying that the app from GooglePlay store is geo-restricted as well as the browser?

Where to watch
The VIPA app. See my post above if you're willing to give a moment to alerting Thai PBS of the geo-restriction problem for vipa.me on browsers.
On Hard Nights Feb 16, 2026
Title Hard Nights
There is currently a problem with Thai PBS' vipa.me streaming service where programmes which shouldn't be geo-restricted are. This is a mistake and most likely they will only be only aware of it if enough international viewers tell them. This has happened before and been resolved after people wrote to them.
Saeng's post here has two addresses to email. https://kisskh.at/discussions/thai-dramas-lakorns-movies/144336-thai-pbs-info-recs?pid=3457776&page=3#p3457776

This problem is currently only affecting watching through a browser.
Everything is working well on the VIPA app. The CC box shows up when the view is landscape rather than portrait.

Even if you are only here for gay or lesbian romances, it is still in YOUR interest to watch legally whenever you can. And this is available legally with English subtitles. Watching a stolen copy gives Thai PBS no support or feedback. If you want them to make, and subtitle, more queer series, please show the creators that interest by watching legally through VIPA.

tl:dr This is available legally and subbed on the VIPA app. This is currently the best place to watch it. It is in YOUR interest to do so.

Have you seen My Ride? GMMTV but overlooked. 1000 Years Old.
The first four episodes of Memory in the Letter (the last two are... odd. Like the writer's fever dream or something. Weird enough they just sort of don't exist for me =D

ProtonVPN. It works for the VIUs, but doesn't get around ThaiPBS' new accidental habit of geo-restricting VIPA though.

Very happy to help <3.
"it would help if the writers could decide in advance what the focus (and tone) of the serie should be and stay with that"
But they did. The bones of this are clear - it was intended to be a mix. They just (IMO) didn't pull it off well.
I have many favourites from Thailand. Since we're talking genre- and tone-mixing two movies come to mind - Tears of the Black Tiger (see my review) and Low Season (comedy-horror-romance).
For series, The Broken Us (Thai PBS), oh I'll just link you. I gave up trying to rank though https://kisskh.at/list/4a6Qbya1
