Ikr, after Affair, I thought they'd get longer dramas. If they don't get dramas that are 10+ episodes and an hour long each after Harmony Secret, that would be such a missed opportunity

I admit it, I wouldn't survive or at least not unscathed ✋😭 And Aiwarin wasn't meant to be a morally grey character. I think it's okay to complain about this because then maybe unconsensual kisses would lessen if the writers listened

I do think it goes against Ai's character. She's respectable/gentlewomanly and this unconsenual act goes against that. I think it's good you're thinking about the media you're ingesting. I did have to turn my brain off slightly on this one because I don't entirely agree with the scene. Consent is very important but with how little GLs there are, I'm trying to be more lenient so I can enjoy it. It bothers me that a lot of the queer content I've watched have consent issues and that I have to turn my brain off but I do what I must 😭

You're not the only one 😭 I'm only giving the unconsenual kiss a pass because Mewika had time, though little but enough, to decipher Aiwarin's intention and push her away but didn't, and she did reciprocate slightly

I'm glad I'm not the only one who was thrown off lol and yeah, the OST is just 🤌 I hope this drama wins some kind of award for it

I was skeptical because of the kiss being so soon in the bathroom but I also understand they need to hook the viewers when they're translating this into a drama. I still prefer their first kiss to be like in the original, a little later down the line and more consensual, but the revelation that they knew each other in the past and that Aiwarin already likes Mewika makes this change work imo. This will definitely be good! The writers know what they're doing

I bought an IQIYI subscription for this and I don't regret it. LMSY chemistry never fails 🔥 There are some differences from the novel that I didn't agree with at first but as the episode progressed, I think the changes work well

That makes sense, definitely gives the ending more of an explanation for me

I skimmed the latest episodes and yeah, I think imma sit this one out until the show ends. Once I see the endgames, I'll decide if I'll continue because it's not looking so good 😭

I've officially became a FreenBecky fan through this drama. Acting was topnotch and they didn't hold back on the kissing scenes. They certainly know how to choose a script because this is the best written GL I've seen so far. Although the pacing could've been faster, everything else was good. Cinematography was beautiful and rich with culture, and I was hooked despite it not being my type of story. TLP is very fluffy with minimal angst until nearing the end. I generally like plots where the angst makes the fluff fluffier, but here it's the fluff that makes the angst angstier. The overabundance of fluff is what makes the pacing off. The last few episodes were my favorite because the whole series was building up to the angstier parts which made it all the more impactful. We really see the struggles noble women go through in that period

They pulled a fast one on us with that ending 😭 It felt so peaceful except for those ominous white roses then BAM! 15 year life sentence. Objectively it's deserved, but I subjectively prefer her to live peacefully with her bestie. If they don't do a season 2, this ending is tragic, but if they do, I think it makes a 10/10 opener. I'm thrilled to know they starred together in another drama. I'll give Hi Producer a try in the future to heal my wounds

I wanted a season 2 before I was even halfway finished and after seeing that ending, now I NEED a season 2. Couple Of Mirrors is truly one of a kind

When they were young, I'm confused on why Pleng was against getting with Wan when she didn't seem to have a clear reason to go against it. She had almost everything, stability, supportive parents, and Wan obviously felt the same way. Was it because Pleng didn't want to ruin their friendship? Wan was practically her only friend. Or is it because Wan's Mom would've been against it? I notice Pleng is always concerned with the feelings of others and putting them above her own for some reason. Despite being just as competent, did Pleng think Ek would be better for Wan versus herself? These motivations confuse me because her stellar upbringing wouldn't cause feelings of inferiority or wanting to self-sacrifice to make everyone happy, I don't think? Then in the second half, when it was made clear Ek wasn't good for Wan, Pleng still pushed for it. I know Pleng doesn't want to be a mistress, but she was already opposed to being with Wan before finding out that Wan was married. Was it from the guilt of leaving her that she didn't feel good enough for her? Her reasons before "I don't want to be a mistress" were never explicit and "but we're friends" is probably the biggest indicator which circles back to the possible motivation from the beginning. Pleng's only friend has always been Wan and she fears ruining it. I think Pleng doesn't want to distance herself from Wan again but neither does she want to get into a relationship and possibly ruin their friendship for good. That's where it was heading with their palpable tension, so she pushes Wan to Ek again to preserve their friendship. However, she already ruined their friendship and didn't even attempt to contact Wan during that 13 years so this motivation is kinda...

Affair is my first Thai drama and first completed GL drama. It was a great watch and I'm glad Affair was the drama that took two of my firsts. It had me hooked for most of the episodes. LMSY's push-pull chemistry was insane. I love the friends to lovers trope and I thought it was done fairly well here. The main problem I have is that Pleng's motivations are confusing
