I'm starting to hate the fl. the way she's handling the whole situation with her ex is so unbelievably dumb. does she have no self worth? why hasnt she blocked him already. why does she entertain his bs. she's spoon-feeding a guy who physically overpowered her to tresspass into her home after stalking her and accusing her of cheating. he's delusional and off-putting and trying too hard to be cute. maybe if he was actually cute, id let it slide, but I find him so unattractive, I wish he'd just go away. and this is the guy the fl bailed on the ml for. she's what's wrong with her life.
Childhood connection adds a bit of realism in a sense that it explains why ML continues to help FL. But, yes,…
thanks for the spoilerðŸ˜ðŸ˜‚. but yeah, that's true. I like that he's not randomly still helping her simply for the sake of plot. this is easily the most tropey drama I've watched lately 😂
the trauma thing is the one that always irritates me, why must there always be trauma? there was some other drama…
that was business Proposal 😂. it was so dumb and unnecessary, and the way it was resolved so quickly made me wonder why it haunted him for so many years
Just a few tropes from the first 4 episodes. 1. Fake marriage 2. White truck of doom 3. Wicked in-laws 4. Childhood connection 5. Childhood trauma involving dead parents 6. First love 7. Terrible ex boyfriend
The FL character in annoying to me with her lack of situational awareness and bad decisions. How she first coerced…
coerced??? he needed something from her and she needed something from him. sounds like she simply made use of her leverage. he's an adult. she didn't force anything on him that he didn't stand to gain from.
the childhood connection is kinda tricky here. on one hand, it advances the plot and their relationship. on the other hand, it looks like it's the only reason he falls for her.
I don’t think they need all that since it’s a romcom. They should just completely avoid adding villains. Romcoms…
honestly, I would've preferred it all the same if they added no villain at all. but they chose to do so, so they should do it right. why add an unnecessary character and plot points if you're just gonna leave it half baked.
after episode 3, it's clear to me that the only chance I have of fully enjoying this drama is if I abandon all logical reasoning while watching. that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for Jung so min
they're all basically the same thing with different faces. it's only about once or twice a year that something different and truly spectacular comes out.
most kdramas have an issue of poorly developed villains because they always wait till the last minute to reveal the villain. since this show has already revealed theirs, I hope they'll take time and care to flesh him out well. give him a full personality, motives, plans, etc. that so many kdrama villains lack. i dont expect anything groundbreaking or revolutionary from this show, but it should at least be good.
I just saw the dumbest white truck accident ever. the truck driver saw the car coming . he saw that the car was being driven recklessly, swerving along the road. rather than stop or slow down, the truck driver just kept going and going. didn't even try to avoid the car. this show is clearly ful of tropes and i dont mind, but the execution matters a lot. the white truck trope was executed very poorly here and it's so annoying cos it looked so avoidable.
another thing about this drama that ticked me off: during the cooking competition plot, the Korean villains (Jesan and his gang) kept saying that the Korean cooks were going to lose. they assured the Chinese envoy of this fact and kept repeating it among themselves. they sounded so sure, as though they were going to go out of their way to ensure that outcome. then they just sat around and did nothing to make them lose. what kind of villains are these who just leave their plan to fate. i even thought they had some plans brewing, maybe sabotage or something, but they did absolutely nothing. pathetic. they sent assassins on the first day, and made no other efforts when that failed. just another run of the mill villain who lacks innovation and foresight. everything about this show was pretty run of the mill🥱

3. Wicked in-laws
4. Childhood connection
5. Childhood trauma involving dead parents

7. Terrible ex boyfriend
I'm still pretty sure I missed some
