I loved the writing and then it went downhill, should've maintained the dignity and essence of Youngwoo's story by wrapping it neatly. Why does there have to be so much drama? I'd understand spin offs, BUT WHY SEASON 2? GIVE US SPIN OFFS, like maybe some other charchter arc that could not be fulfilled or like a short stories of the charchters with their lives-- UGH

I'd usually red flag the hell out of him cause...come on no one has that much patience. But, if we look at it from his side, its sad as hell AHHHH WHY IS LBY LIKE THIS--

also CSS in the novel faces a lot....poor bby. to the point where she almost dies...god, its so unfair that women have to face the brunt of someone else's actions.

on another note, theres a lot more in the story but the eps are less so I feel like they're gonna rush things. Although the redemption arc is pretty fast, i wish they can make it satisfying.

Ikr and the commenters on mdl against css paint lby to be a saint....lol. idk why drama fans hold the female leads to such high standards and hate thme for their flaws. But the ml is never talked about because he's "hot"

Oh yeah i love the trio...usually im not into harems but for some reason this 3 are my favourite haha. I feel like althought Consort Yue is his childhood sweetheart, the empress is also someone he loves and respects. I like how both of them aren't greedy for his love and respect each other. So refreshing

Fr she seemed really free with LY, i genuinely miss that couple. I like LBY's sincerity, but it sometimes feels like he's just taken in by CSS's lack of the "stiffness" and cruelty of a noble that hes familiar with in his world. I also hate how they pressure CSS and belittle her as shes seemingly not enough for LBY. Thats where the difference between LY and LBY hit hard.

I mean, no one's saying LBY is bad haha, all im saying is,he needs to communicate more. As in tell her about him. So far, he hasnt spilt even one word about his family, past or revenge. CSS is kept in the shadows, hell he even tricks her using a ploy with the emperor and as much as i found it funny, i felt it was slightly manipulative for someone who doesnt share anything to her. Also, he doesnt really give a proper reason for CSS to remain quiet during her interactions in the eastern palace and simply tells her to stay out if for her safety. U have to also remember this was an engagement made solely by LBY's request and had none of CSS request. CSS felt hurt for LBY but id think she'll feel the same for anyone who was in that postion.

Finally im seeing comments that make sense. Everyone calling css dumb, but honestly for a 15 year old girl she's pretty mature. She still needs time to adjust and act accordingly so you cant teally expect her to say anything apart from "Why do you want me to change, can't i be myself?" CSS wanted a life of peace, she didnt ask for this. Hell, even the engagement was imposed on her by LBY and the emperor. She's put in a situation where she has to mature, but it will take time. All her petty actions, inexcusable, but have reason. I personally feel like she wouldve been happier with LY because he not only showered her with love but also understood what she actually needed.

Am i the only one who kinda hates how LBY is all like "you have to rely on me more." Then proceeds to not saying anything about himself to her, does not give her proper explantions about the palace, scolds her when she does not realise that her actions can have dire consequences that any normal person outside the palace would not be aware of. Yeah, CSS is not completely innocent. She's impulsive and naughty and sorta fails to keep herself calm...but when she said "No one thinks I'm good enough." It genuinely hurt because CSS is trying, but she's in such a tight spot no wonder why she goes rogue at times. She's not guided enough and apart from the empress i havent seen anyone else genuinely praise her.

I'm kinda hoping everyone gets a charchter developement and not just CSS
