The wedding night absurdity was unexpected. I don't understand why most Cdrama never allow the main couple to…
i mean--thats what made it funny asf? Sometimes we need that unexpected twist of humour...plus those two just acknowledged their feelings and consumation is a huge step...
Honestly? Mei Lin dying is kinda nice. Like what did the ml expect when he mf poisoned her and controlled her life? Ofc bro was gonna die...for the first time it felt like retribution was truly served--even to the leads. Don't understand why y'all are criticising the writing.
You play stupid games, you find the love of your life dying next to you. That being said....this could've been done without the poisoning, and instead capitalized on Mei Lin's need for revenge and made her a little more unhinged (imo, would've loved to see Mei Lin a little more crazier.)
1. he only said that cause he didn't want a sister due to what happened. Plus they were like siblings and siblings…
Yeah but thats what is kinda ruining it for me...the essence of the drama is found family which means he should've had some sort of affection for them.
I get it, he looks at her romantically. But let's be honest, he doesnt even deny it? Not even a 'its not like that, its different.' just a straight up, "yeah i dont see you as family duh so why would i stay when my real family is out there.'
'not that he actually cared for him', yeah thats like my entire point dude. there's no affection which sucks the soul out of the story.
Yep I agree. I mean i literally became a fan of Byeon Wooseok after this drama. Though I wasn't on the "he should…
This is an insult to Do Bong Soon imo. That show had campy humour but also well rounded characters, esp the leads. Esp since we know the potential of all the actors is way more than this.
Both dramas has its positives and negatives, but Go ahead really does go deep into things and explains a lot of stuff. This one is a shortened, prettier version of the cdrama.
Both have great actors, just different depths of stories.
Just gonna say, they really lost me with Sanha's character. I loved that they gave more importance to Dal and Haejun but Sanha did not feel like he was a part of the family.
1-He lashes out at Juwon saying she's pathetic for wanting the adoption and that its so obvious she lacks a family. He then barely apologises and Juwon lets him be?? Idk why the writers made it as if Juwon was childish at that scene but she rly wasnt.
2-When he leaves, Juwon says he doesnt think of them as a real family. Bro doesnt even deny it?? He goes out of his way to ask Juwon if taking care of his mother and sister is bad? Again, the writers turn it into a 'becoming an adult with responsibilites' rather than dealing it as Sanha trying to make it up to his mother as he's guilty. Haejun even lashes out at Sanha saying this wasn't the right way to say it...like a true family member would talk like.
Haejun and Sanha not apologising to Juwon and explaining shit also bothered me a lot.
Also, perhaps I keep comparing it with the cdrama but the ml's bond with the fl's father was way closer. Although I loved Juwon's dad and Haejun, him and Sanha don't have many 1-1's (only childhood arc had it if im correct).
For a story that was supposed to be about found family, the ml seemed less found family oriented.
I hope he's in peace. Its heartbreaking to know that people half the time never get help from their closest allies....how did no one come to lend a shoulder for a guy going through so much?
Love this drama so much. Incredibly well-written as it looks at unhealthy relationships, and what people do in…
If this was irl, no one would encourage their friend to stay with a guy like the ml. he's shit on her sm, he IS toxic. its not a woke term if its used the right way. its not romance...its unhealthy dependence.
IMO she doesnt need anyone. She should find herself...not focusing on a man.
this genuinely feels like good actors with a shitty script. the ruse of using a mental disorder to pique interest and then going on to portray a pseudo healing drama when in reality this is just toxic romance....and not even the fun dark romance type.
And this isnt even abt the ML's or who we prefer....we truly don't need an ML imo. Kang Juyeon is too good for her and Jung Hyeon O sucks deadass. I hope she ends up with neither, with herself healing. And maybe then slightly hint a romantic intention with Kang Juyeon.
Love Next Door actually aced this kind of 'good guy but just not the right one for fl' kinda guy. But this ML is beyond redeemable. Gonna drop this even though its Hyeri and Kang Hoon.
I feel like Kang Bit Na giving him a penalty is sumn that prolly happens in real life. Thats why they're making her character do that, then followed by divine punishment.
But in reality there is no divine punishment. So I'd rather have laws legit kill these people off because they really have no reason to live. Its a mixed signal message that I cant really like or hate.
Also my man just wants a kiss...LET HIM KISS HIS GIRL ALLRIGHT-

i find ml and kleur super cuteeeeee sighhhhh
But the cdrama overall is a much more cohesive and thought-out drama and genuinely fulfills the 'family by choice' drama than the actual kdrama.

OMG WHOS GONNA BE TRASHTA THENNN

But its also clearly stated as fiction.
