This drama was soooo good. Although I have my qualms about Xie Wei (he terrifies fl, scares her then when he falls for her.....he asks her why she's scared of him. I legit went "BITCH U LITERALLY SCARED HER FROM THE BEGINNING.)
My choice at first was Yan Lin (still is) but XW and JN's pairing is justified.
I think i'm in love with Bai Lu because she acts so so so well. This story's biggest advantage was its characters and how we saw them branch out (ranging from good to evil). Everyone got their part to play, and the acting was so good.
I was sad at YFN's death (she could've survived considering XW survived so many times....talk about plot armour), but this was just a reminder that even if you think you've already went though something and can change it, there will always be something that happens unexpectedly.
Kunning Palace gave me Love Like The Galaxy vibes, and i love that drama so this one follows suit on my highly rated list. I'm getting withdrawals already, sigh!

Youtube is very helpful when i see dramas that have 1-2 memorable scenes, so i end up watching a lot of dramas just like that and stove it as completed. Just because i like svt doesnt mean i feel the need to like eveything they do....but a lot of fans think otherwise. Glad to see im not the only one tho hahaha

OMG I DO THE SAME-- i felt the same if im being honest. I wonder if its because i already read the manhwa? Although i loved seeing Shin Hye Sun, it felt like only her character was alive. Everything else felt very 2d. I eventually did complete this drama and i did love it...but some parts were really stagnant and boring. Idk if its the acting or the story.
all im gonna say.........what a waste of an excellent cast. I think they're all great actors but the script is so mid-- the manhwa was pretty straightforward sweet (unrealistic, tbvh) , but the drama is messy asf.

Its boring when they get together, i really wished we got...more. Cdramas tend to lack focus on detail, which is why a lot of these shows fall short. Ideally, i wish we could see the fl branch out to her (ceo) dreams and ml getting his game published. Romance was mid, not much story. i recommend you watch it if you're tired or feel like you want to fill your time with some funny romance.

She never regretted it once, and I liked that. She worked on her body, but her face could not be changed, so she opted for a practical solution.

Not a huge Cha Eunwoo fan, but honestly if not for the shitty airing schedule, this drama would've been a good rom com, including his acting (he did pretty decent, Park Gyu Young is a show stealer imo). It's sorta the same vibe as those campy romances we got in 2016, and it is done decently well.
Not every webtoon adaptation needs to follow the webtoon, that makes it boring. Good or bad, we need slight differences. This drama deserves an 8.2, not a 7.8 drama.

It feels like they slightly could fastened the pace in the middle-- the beginning was perfect, enough to make us understand, the middle eps 6-9 were kinda lackluster. 10-12 had all the real details. A lot of people didn't like that Ban Jieum forgot her past lives and moved on with her current life but I actually think that was for the best.
She finally gets her chance to start out fresh. And now everyone who loves her would get to finally shower her the love that she missed out on. I think the ending was perfect. A little rushed, but perfect.

Crystal Liu can act--i really like her. And her role. Honestly I love the characters in this drama. But the leads take the spotlight because DAMN A POWER COUPLE FRL. A lot of people don't understand the reasoning behind each instance of weakness of the fl and it shows--this is way better than a cringy romance/super boring power struggle court politics. Its fun, serious, romantic ALL IN ONE.
I think the problem with this show is that it didnt have a deep story. It wasnt serious at all. They didnt give us enough substance to make us intrigued. Yes, Jade is insecure but we never got into the details. Bed Friend had all of that. I honestly didnt find it boring at all, rather i'm unsatisfied. I want more of it, maybe give Mai more personality, more flaws, instead of being perfect. Tong Gus couple was nice, but again, not enough developed storyline to shine.
