Seo In Guk and Jung So Min in the same cast again but not just them but Jang Young Nam too? It's almost like the characters from the smile has left your eyes reincarnated hahaha...
This had so much potential but it keeps getting messier. I'm only hanging on cuz of Rowoon. I'm so confused, does…
His attraction for her started way before he drank the love potion. Remember when he gave her the spell book and they were in her house as she tried to take it back and they stumbled on her sofa? yeah at that time his heart already started to race when she was close. Prior to that, he would point out how she would tuck her hair back when she was talking to SML, which might mean he was low-key jealous. There was post from a user her in the comments that made a very interesting theory about how spells and curses, the former requiring the permission of those affected and the latter violating that. Shin yu already had feelings for Hong Jo, the spell facilitated the expression of his feelings
Can we talk about their acting in ep 10???? All three of them??? I kept rewinding bc of how some moments were so good! I'm glad Rowoon is the ML for Jo Bo Ah! I love them so much!
I was prejudiced against Rowoon and thought he was just another idol actor famous for his face and that his fame was carried by his fanbase, but turns out i was wrong, his acting is really nice actually. Far better than some popular male actors. We've seen plenty of cold rich male leads, but i noticed he tends to use his entire face, like small movements of his eyebrows and jaw that makes his character refreshing for me.
Also love the tension he's building with Jo Bo Ah.
I don't think the actor is more popular than the group. But it's definitely marketing, not only does it get 2PM…
ik they do this for all idol actors, but while for new idols and well known idols, it might be relevant, i don't really see the use of it for established actors like junho unless it's for marketing like the other commentators pointed it out. I genuinely don't know abt 2pm's reach bc how many ppl are still surprised to learn that junho is an idol? except for his hardcore fans? there are many of them out there that still don't know he's an idol,
Genuine question but why do they still mention 2PM whenever they talk abt Junho? Not that i have anything against it, in fact i have no opinion abt that group. rather why is it still relevant to mention them when their members have no recent music work and that the actor himself is more popular than the group?
Overreact much? "Now the only idea koreans will have of a muslim man is someone who goes to bar and drinks with…
You're acting like my arguments are fake as if you aren't bringing up yours based on the anecdotes that only apply to you.
You're willingly ignoring all the media from the US depicting Islam in a bad light. You say everyone is afraid to mention arab nation in a negative light bc they're too powerful. Explain then the outrage around the WC in Qatar, explain the numerous news outlets at that time conveniently focusing on every bad aspect of Qatar instead of the match itself. Explain France, Denmark and sweden's treatment of muslims in the recent years. Explain the change in behaviour in people the moment they learn I'm muslim. Explain the fact that smh it's only us who have to justify ourselves and convince people we're not as bad as the media depicts us to every single non muslim we meet on the street. If you think I'm making this up, ask muslims what's their experience is.
As I said earlier, from the beginning this is a matter that doesn't concern you in the slightest so you can get off of your high horse and go back to watching your little dramas, since you give jackshit about other people's opinion anyway

I was replying to this one "That's a reasonable criticism of Samir's character--far better than just screaming "That's racist!" So I appreciate that--though I'd argue that it creates a background story of an immature prodigal son that fits his impulsive pursuit of Sa Rang (interesting that no one has talked about how asking to marry a non-Muslim might have also broken Islamic law).
But if he'd been shown to go on a wild shopping spree, then the same people would have complained that showing an Arab prince spending money lavishly would have been a negative stereotype. My observation is that if you're looking to be offended, there's no limit to what you'll find offensive."
--------------------
"Of course, the scene in King the Land was neither meant to offend nor to effect change; it was literally 10-seconds out of a couple of episodes in which the Arab prince came off as charming (in a clownish way)." And I say they could have made him charming while still being respectful to the religion, since the default for an arab is being muslims and since he isn't "supposedly" inspired from real life arab princes. Everyone's comments under this article imply heavily someone can't be fun if he's religious and that's where it all goes wrong. The writers could have simpy done their research and depict a muslim character according to the theory, and before you object, no, if he was anyone else other than a muslim, he'd have been depicted with the known accurate traits of the culture or religion he's from.
Although I doubt that would ever happen, because SK has a history of disrespecting everyone else's culture. But when such thing happens, it's alright if people express their outrage unless they're muslim, right?
You say it's only a monority that is overreacting. But if it means that it reached the writers to the point they apologised which is smth they rarely do, then the response was too great to be from a minority.
And feelings shouldn't be dismissed, cuz there are always reasons based on facts on why people react in the way they do.
You not being affected by any of this, I have no idea why you are so bent on defending the writers, when those 10 seconds as you, being removed shouldn't affect your watching experience
Also love the tension he's building with Jo Bo Ah.
