Title Miss Hammurabi Spoiler
the comments under kissasian are more intelligent than whatever the heck is happening on MDL XDDD.That aside,…
Her sassy part, if there was any, was more part of her flaws that she worked on fixing later in the drama. And I gotta say, I didn't really like Go Ara before watching this, I still didn't like her in the beginning but her acting kinda improved at the end. Not sure if I'll watch her other dramas, but i surely won't mind seeing her again.

That aside, after finishing watching the drama, the "sassy female lead" tag doesn't really fit here, esp as the first tag, just strong female lead describes her pretty well.

I understood from the get go that it was only abt the characters not the actors, no worries abt that. I was quick to judge your opinion, glad we came to an understanding.

Agree, she's unlikable in the earlier episodes, but it is a key point in her character development. It seems to me you didn't understand her character at all. Apologies for making it abt genders but it seems to me that no matter the show, FLs are always getting the harshest critics compared to MLs and it's a fact you can't deny.

The point is her reaction is still normal whether you like it or not. She made a mistake she apologized. At least there's nothing that warrants her being called a b*tch. You guys are always too hard on FL when you would have let it slide for ML

Pretty sure Se Ho wasn't just a stranger to them at that point. Plus she was never that close to anyone and she was frightened by how the students suddenly turned against her. And she hate being pitied. Her reactions in the past were normal. Also she didn't lie, she just told what she witnessed and regretted it the next days after seeing what happened to him. So yeah it's understandable. The blame should have been put on Se Ho (but I guess since he's a man he won't be called a b*tch ^^)

Title Love, Lies
Does this movie focuses on the two girls' friendship? (I'm aware there's romance but I still ant to know if the friendship is the main subject as in the two girls are more important MCs than the guy).

This was so interesting to read, too bad I'm late, I'd have loved to take part in the survey.

For me, asking the question "What kind of endings do you prefer?" makes no sense as it heavily depends on the genres, and there are some dramas (also applies to other type of shows). Sometimes, depending on the genre, I actually WANT a sad ending because it fits the story so well and it ending in a sad ending would make it a beautiful tragedy.

The endings that I hate are those where the villains didn't get their karma, or the issue is only half resolved, or even when the villain is punished but not harshly enough for all the things they have done.

Other than that, for the realistic stories without any supernatural elements, I prefer they'd rather have a happy ending as in the main leads get what they wanted in the beginning without having to change themselves too much, and having kept their values untouched until the end. I don't mean that the characters shouldn't have a development but that I dislike the characters who were kind in the beginning but then became as wicked and horrible as their enemies to achieve their goal which often happens to be a new found goal halfway into the story. They then aren't that different from the villains and are as repulsive as them. Of course, this only applies to realistic dramas (although exceptions may apply) because of a reason similar to the one the MDLers stated in the survey. Dramas, especially realistic are also an escape for me, so I don't want them to be as depressing as real life. But any other genres are fine if they're sad for XD.

"The world is saved, most side characters survived, both leads died and met up in the afterlife." - I love this kind of ending for it is both sad and happy. It's so satisfying. The main leads are finally in peace and can be happily in love without anything interfering XD. Same for "A lot of characters suffered or died but the evil which was a suffering character itself got killed." But for this I'd need to get attached to the villain as well for it to have an emotional impact on me, as well as be satisfying.

"The world is down in chaos, some side character died, but the main leads reached the safe spot." which is also similar to "The case is solved, most characters are safe, but the evil mastermind got away." They are stupid endings for me and the ones that I also hate the most. The only happiness the main leads got is a selfish euphoria that can disappear any second. Definitely not my cup of tea.

I never understood why people always asked if it's a happy ending or not but now I kind of get it. The only times I want to know the ending is when I'm looking for a light fluffy show without too much drama to relax after a long day.

I don't really care if it's a happy of sad ending. I just want a good ending, as in an ending that makes sense…
Wow we must have totally opposite definitions of what a good ending is XD! I hated the ending of TOTNT mainly bc it didn't make sense. Yeon gets reincarnated but shouldn't he have born like any other humans, so starting his life as a toddler, etc? Plus they all said he was born a human so where did his powers come from again? All this confused me and kinda ruined the story. Not to mention that Rang's death was also predictable since he didn't do anything big in the second part of the drama except from helping Yeon from time to times and since I've lost interest in the main leads in the last chapters, them getting together wasn't what mattered to me but a logical ending that befits the world they live in.

Don't bother. This one is a joke and an insult to the audience...If you didn't like PSH before, you're going to…
I'm a fan of sci-fi too, but for that the plot needs to be written in an engaging and "intelligent" way, with every use of sci-fi elements making sense, the type of plots that incites the audience to make theories, to look for clues, etc. I love action too, so cheap scenes put me off easily but i can past it if I make fun of it rather than taking it seriously.

Should I watch this or not? How's Park Shin Hye's acting so far? I've watched 4 of her dramas and honestly I didn't like her in any of them. But the tags like time travel, sci fi and fantasy look interesting. Does it live up to its promo?

Cut the romance nonsense, cutoff the fillers, make folklore characters more appealing, turn the drama into 20minute…
I think they already did a lot of cutting imo. Compared to most k dramas, it is already less focused on romance and the folklore characters are diverse. It's fast paced enough, if it was even more fast, i would have been hard to keep up with all the infos they throw at you on each ep (some people are already struggling to decipher the plot bc it's apparently too fat) so things are going at the right speed imo. Idk which scenes you consider as fillers, but if they are the light hearted scenes on ep 5-6-7, i think they're important to deepen the bond between the main characters.

something that can trap people in their fear... thats all i got from it...i dont know what snail bride is either...…
Wow that's a wild story! I kinda agree with Ponnu, she might be the daughter in law of the gatekeeper since we know that their son killed himself. The drama apparently left out the last part of the original snail bride story. I'm still looking through korean mythology hoping to find what the green lady is though the user B1G-SM0NK already gave a detailed desription based on the drama.

who was that woman in green tho? I didnt understand it.
Probably a creature from the Korean folklore. I think they didn't introduce her properly bc it is supposed to be known to korean people. Guess we, international watchers need to some research though it's not easy :(
