Yes, I know.
If there are scenes queen flirting with concubines like Chinese version in the Korean version people that keep complained before this might get heart attack watching haha.
Now I'm wondering how will they show the audiences the king and queen bed scene LOL.
Will it just the typical focusing on the candlelight kind of scene haha
It might just be me, but judging by some of the comments on here and on youtube, it almost seems like people are…
The queen is not a man. Physically, she is a 100% woman. It just her current soul had inhabited a modern man before.
I think the modern chef is the incarnation of the current queen. If it is true then it won't be unfair to both Bong hwan or So Yong when there are romance relationship between the king and the current queen.
Even if there are different soul, I want the current queen to fall in love with the king. It doesn't matter even their romance is slow burn type. Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun have great chemistry together and it will be a waste if there is no romance between them here.
okay All,The chinese version of Mr. Queen is so lame. Just saw a clip on YouTube. Costumes and set were quite…
The Chinese version are low budget but it become hit it is so funny and I can say, the scenes of empress flirting with her maid and the king's concubines there are more daring than the Korean version. The Chinese version also make the emperor and empress fall in love even her current soul had inhabited in a different gender before.
The Korean version are funny but has more tighter plot than the Chinese version. And it seem some people want the past queen to return and has romance with the king instead of Mr Queen. To me that is weird since the one that change his heart is the Mr Queen.
There are Korean dramas where the main female lead fall in love with the main male lead that are robot, mystical creature, half man-half gumiho and others so why couldn't a main male lead fall in love with a queen in a historical time but a man in a modern time?
I hope the theory that "modern chef Bong Hwan is the incarnation of the historical queen So Yong" is true so the king and the current queen can have a mutual romance relationship without being unfair to Bong Hwan or So Yong.
Did he just barged into the king/queen bedroom and tried to take the queen away? Are you serious?! Even if you did that to ordinary man on the street is considered rude, and you do that to your king =_=
Well, its not impossible that the king and true queen will ends up together. I want to elaborate this well but…
I read all your comment for this drama and you seem consistent with shipping the King and Mr Queen haha Me too LOL
I don't quite understand why some people shipping the king and past queen while the one that change the king's heart is the current queen.
As for episode 6 it clearly show that the king has fall for Mr Queen. He even proclaim to second male lead that Mr Queen is his woman in the preview of episode 7 LOL
Based on the premise, I believe the endgame is the King and Mr Queen. And it seem this drama giving hint about reincarnation so it maybe the key to solve the mystery behind the body swapping issue.
We need more drama & production like this.I'm laughing so hard in every episode! The casts are amazing from main…
This type of Korean historical drama is called fusion sageuk. It kind of fictional dramas that use a historical backdrop to tell the story. Any use of real historical figures is used purely in a fictional context.
Some people didn't want the king and current queen possibility of love line because to them it kinda forcing a straight man like chef to be gay and all but I really don't see the gay thing at all because physically, the king is a man and the queen is 100% a woman. It just now the queen's body is possessed by the soul that inhabited different gender before.
I believe the theory that "Bong Hwan is the reincarnation of the past queen" for this drama because when the romance happen it won't be unfair to both Bong Hwan and So Yong.
I think rather than the BL, the message that I get is more about loving someone despite how people perceived your beloved is.
I mean in the modern time, it is not weird for a woman to behave like the current queen but in the historical time, society view that as unsophisticated and unladylike manner especially for a queen. But the king still fall in love with her.
It is like a man love a woman but people complained: "Look, she did this and that! That is not normal and unladylike! She seem to get possessed by so and so. How could you love her?" But the man don't care all that and still love her.
It seem many people fall for the second male lead (the queen's cousin) and shipping him with the queen but I'm not.
Maybe because the king is powerless and not just the second male lead disrespect him, his others official also treated him like crap so that make me root for underdog like the king to raise.
Seriously though, it is so annoying to watch how rude is Hwa Jin to the queen, how rude queen's cousin is to the king and how the king's brother constantly pressuring the king.
I don't hate Hwa Jin yet but as a concubine why she is being rude to the queen? Especially if the queen being nice to her right now. I don't understand her reaction LOL
They didn't sleep together because as you said, Hwa Jin pouts that they haven't spent the night together.
Yes, the king's brother like her but I don't think she will like him back though.
We may see Hwa Jin scheming in the future episode but I believe for now, she really likes Cheoljong although she probably lied that she is his savior when they are still a children.
I have a great feeling for her sad ending when she comforted her sad nanny by mentioned "Nanny, I'm not going to die" before she entered the palace.
Many people start watching this drama with high expectations or the wrong idea, so as a warning: if you want to…
Being a female lead is hard.
Some people think if she is not kicking ass, know martial art, being cold and can curse then she is not a strong woman.
Some people think if she is a shy virgin that is inexperienced in the intimate relationship, then she is annoying.
Some people think if she like a guy and trying to make a move first by pursuing him then she is thick skinned woman and ridiculous.
In this drama, the main female lead has her own job, tried to move on after being dumped, feel the guy she married is okay and then actively pursuing him after their marriage but of course she is annoying, childish, ridiculous and other insult.
Question: Do you think the king and Hwa Jin will finally slept together in this version? In episode 6, Hwa Jin mentioned that they still not spent the night together yet and he promised to visit her chamber at night, well, before the queen collapse at the end of the episode LOL Even if they don't show king and concubine bed scene, maybe it will be implied?
In the Chinese version, it is implied that the main male lead and the second female lead, which is his brother's wife, (grosss) had slept together. And if I'm not mistaken, then the second female lead lied that she got pregnant. But the main male lead and main female lead have bed scene there. She even gave birth to a son haha
Anyway, I don't hate Hwa Jin yet. Actress Seol In Ah is pretty and I have soft spot for her since she act as support cast in drama School 2017 with Kim Jung Hyun and Kim Se Jong as the main leads hehe
A drama with Jang Dong Yoon and Park Sung Hoon and the same screenwriter of Mr Queen! Although there will be no romance like Mr Queen I plan to watch this because the political part in Mr Queen intrigued me LOL
If we use the duration of Chinese drama then this drama has 40 episodes.
Can you give me example of stupid thing that current queen did?

The king's heart has been captured by his queen ever since he see how unsophisticated she is ahahaha XD

She is his concubine after all.
Some people think if she is not kicking ass, know martial art, being cold and can curse then she is not a strong woman.

What should a woman do actually?
When Hwa Jin come and tell the queen haughtily that she will spent the with the king, the queen said it hurtful because she is interested in her.
Before that she even suggest for them to do an undergarment party to build strong friendship LOOL
In episode 6, Hwa Jin mentioned that they still not spent the night together yet and he promised to visit her chamber at night, well, before the queen collapse at the end of the episode LOL
