I like all the scenes in the kitchen and to me it is most relevant since Bong Hwan's character is a chef before his soul entered the queen's body.

I read the translation of the info about this drama on the twitter that Bong Hwan cooking skill is one of the main point of this drama and we will see more about his cooking skill and also how Bong Hwan in queen's body will cooperate with the king against their enemies.
The director himself mentioned that the common plot with Chinese version is a modern man soul's trapped in Queen's body in historical time but the rest will have many changes.

If you like pure funny plot you can check out the Chinese version, Go Princess Go. It is just funny and silly but I like the Korean version more because the plot and characters have more depth so far.

I hope the king's brother won't die though. Maybe he can live with Hwa Jin outside the palace as a normal citizen after all thing settled.

The king will feel hurt and guilty if something happen to his brother. But I remember reading one of the comment on the twitter that this drama has melodrama tag in the Korean page or something like that T_T

I observed the relationship chart again and I just realized that the king's brother, Prince Yeongpyeong has arrow to king's concubine with the word "affection". I think we will fully see that when the king falls for the queen later.

We can see when the king start wavering with his feeling towards the queen after their confrontation and wondering if it is true that the queen is evil like he believed before in episode 4, his brother didn't seem to like it. His brother mentioned thing like "You must focus on the righteous goal", "If the results are righteous, the means are also righteous".

I believe when concubine realized that the king falls for the queen, she will start scheming to get the king affection back. The info below Hwa Jin mentioned that "Her heart gradually darkens in attempt to protect her love with the King Cheoljong"

When the king's brother see how pitiful the concubine in attempt to get king's affection back, I wonder if he will resent/blame the queen. I'm just hoping he won't betray the king and then sacrifice himself to make up for his mistake.

When the king and queen fall with each other and they cooperate with each other against enemies, I think all these characters have potential for sad/tragic ending because of their reasons:

1)King's concubine, Hwa Jin: she will does some scheme when king falls for the queen.
*Potential ending: die/banish from the palace.

2)Kim So Yong's cousin, Byung In: after hearing the queen's confession that she tried to commit suicide before wedding and later know that king tried to kill the queen that night, he will scheming because he think the king didn't deserve the queen. Don't forget that his father, Kim Jwa Geun is also the king greatest enemy since he hold power more than the king himself.
*Potential ending: die to protect the queen from his father's scheme after realized that the queen love the king

3)King's brother, Prince Yeongpyeong: has affection for Hwa Jin and one of the king's ally
*Potential ending: die to protect Hwa Jin/his brother

Of course all these characters ending are just my assumption but in historical drama especially if the setting is involving palace we know that it is usual for the screenwriter to kill off one of the support character (usually second male lead) whenever there is a plot about fighting for the power/throne LOL

The Romance Of Tiger And Rose is a good and funny time travel drama too!

Ding Yu Xi and Zhao Lu Si have good chemistry together just like Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun^_^

Both main female lead in these dramas are silly funny and the husbands just go along with their wife antics LOOL

But The Romance Of Tiger And Rose is easier to end with happy ending since both main leads travel to another world together but this one, I don't know how T_T

Oh Nan Zhen is the screenwriter? I'm intrigued already. Her dramas are unique to me. I watch all her dramas and The Romance Of Tiger And Rose is my top favorite.

I hope in the next episodes, this drama will focus more to real Queen's mystery, Queen cooking's skill, King's ambition, King & Queen romance development and how they cooperate against their enemies.

I'm already annoyed with the usual main love triangle in the Korean dramas and this drama have a love square with the concubine and adopted cousin haish. I don't want the love triangle/square become main focus because usually will they neglect other parts of the plot and it will start to be annoying and draggy.

Give me more queen Shin Hye Sun & king Kim Jung Hyun because they are the main reason I watch this drama not the tiring love square with the second leads T_T

Just in 4 episodes our queen already kissing guy left and right. She is not only the first woman who didn't wear bra, she is also the first Joseon queen that laid the foundation of reverse harem hahaha

The King don't even touch the queen on their wedding night. The Queen just flirting with the concubine and in the gisaeng harmlessly.

Was there a scene where the male chef harass any woman before his soul entered the Queen's body or any scene where anyone get harass sexually?

I had to re watch then.

I'm waiting for this drama since I know that they will make a Korean drama inspired by the Chinese version. The Chinese version is funny but it entertained me because of the ridiculousness rather than the usual angsty Chinese historical dramas plot that I had watch.

While for this drama, after watching 2 episodes so far, I love it so much because other than Shin Hye Sun excellent acting skill as the modern man's soul that trapped in queen's body in Joseon era and her great chemistry with Kim Jung Hyun, the plot, the real Queen's story and other characters like the King and even the concubine of this version have more depth than the Chinese version.

This drama has more budget than the Chinese version too and we can see it from their set, costumes and cinematography. Yet now they have to edit it because of the local netizen complaint sighhh

Their local netizen were already actives with their comment even before Covid 19 appeared and since many of them are staying at home now to prevent it from spreading, the amount of keyboard warriors must have increased and that's why the network got about 736 complaint just in three days since premiered.

To me this version is not even racy like Chinese version. In the Chinese version, after the male soul enter the main female lead body, there is even a scene where the main female lead staring at the concubine exposed cleavage, touching and caressing the concubine leg and dancing intimately with her female servant.

While this drama so far only showing Shin Hye Sun's character flirting with King's concubine, the ladies in gisaeng and those funny 19+ censored scenes and the local netizen already have so many complaints.

If this production do it like the Chinese version, the local netizen might lose their mind and asked it to be cancel already LOLOL

I don't think so. Choi Jin Hyuk is only a cameo here right? Kim Jung Hyun is the main male lead.

I don't know the significant with the scene of So Yong kissing Bong Hwan either but they better at least give me a sweet kiss scene between So Yong and Cheol Jong if they can't give me their bed scene because of those netizen complaints or other reasons.

In Chinese version it is implied that the main male lead slept with the second female lead. Which is yuck since the second female lead is his brother's wife. At least if it happen here, it is not weird because she is his concubine.

Other than that, the main female lead in Chinese version was pregnant and even give birth to a son. I wonder if the queen will get pregnant in here too?

They got about 736 complaint just in 3 days since this drama premiered. After that production team made an apology statement and mentioned that the "offensive" scenes will be deleted.

I don't know why anyone think that a historical drama in any country is the representation of 100% real history. That is drama, not a documentary.

If that so, that means I should believe that there are zombies in Joseon period after watching Joo Ji Hoon's drama, Kingdom *sighhh* =_='

Admist the psychological, thriller and makjang genre of Korean dramas right now, there is a funny and sweet historical drama like this but they don't like it.

Not that other dramas are not good but this drama make me smile and laugh with good amount of mystery. Like the main actor, Kim Jung Hyun mentioned he chosen to act in this drama because he hopes at least he can make other people smile while fighting this stressful pandemic but no, the netizen make a controversy about this drama and nitpicking everything. Maybe they like makjang genre more although my head hurt with all the people shouting when I'm watching them.

I like all her crazy silly behaviour, especially when she did them in front of the king. When she spitted and raised her skirts in public in front of the king, he looks like he gonna get heart attack LOLOL
